Tears of Faithful Wife

Tears of Faithful Wife
I Love You, Fay

"I need some time alone, Mom. Please understand me." Fay closed the door to his room. He did not allow Nero to come inside.

Arya Bramantio who saw the attitude of her son was quite understanding. He walked up to Nero. Embrace the shoulders of his daughter-in-law, invited to sit in the family room.

The two sat together like father and son. "If you're sad, Fay does tend to prefer being alone. Three days at most. Wait, he'll be looking for you himself."

"Once again, Nero apologizes Pa. I've neglected to look after Fay. It should have been that time ..."

Arya patted the shoulder of wise Nero. "Easy .. does not need to continue. It's all fate. No one's guilty, neither are you wrong."

"Thank you, Pa."

Arya looked at the wall clock, the time was already 10 p.m. It is fitting that he began to sleep. Nero looked at the wall clock. He was very much the habit of his in-laws.

"Papa rest. It's time for the break. Nero's not sleepy yet."

"There are plenty of rooms here. You just choose. Except ... that room." Arya pointed at Fay's room. "The owner is still very fierce."

Nero laughed a little. "Yes, Pa."

*****

Ctic! Nero lit a cigarette on the back porch. It is about the seventh stick. Fay's words about feelings of love and divorce made him unable to sleep. Thought garbled.

Many times Nero told himself he should be happy. From the beginning of the marriage, it was he who wanted a divorce.

But for some reason when those words slid from Fay's mouth, his chest tightened. It feels so pained. He didn't want those words out of Fay's mouth.

Some events have returned. Fay's efforts help him escape Widi, Fay's patience to care for when he is sick, Fay's willingness to conceive their child.

All that Fay did sincerely even though he treated Fay cruelly.

Suddenly Nero discovers the one thing he misses from Fay. Fay's sweet attitude to him. Ever since losing their baby, Fay has always looked at her coldly.

Imagining their relationship ending, imagining no longer being with Fay, suddenly scares her.

Nero looked at Fay's room window which suddenly lit up. A shadow of a black silhouette was walking across. Nero was right, that's Fay.

He kept watching Fay's room. A moment later, the shadow seemed to approach the window. Fay pulled a little curtain.

Their eyes met for a while. Ask for a moment because as soon as he saw Nero, he closed the curtain again. The room lights went out again.

Nero exhaled the cigarette smoke he inhaled deeply.

*****

Nero is forced to follow his father-in-law's advice to return home without Fay. As long as he's there, Fay won't leave the room. He also went on hunger strike.

Nero again occupied himself in the office, hoping to forget a little about this problem. He can only be patient until the agreed deadline.

"Resta, when your wife is angry, what are you doing?"

Restaurant was astonished by his superior's question. "Tumben you ask like that."

"Why indeed?"

Resta cleared his throat in panic, feeling uneasy with Nero's sharp gaze. "I'm just a little surprised by your question."

"Forget it."

"Based on my understanding, women are very happy to be given something, especially when they are angry."

Nero instead frowned towards Resta.

"Women love to be given flowers, dolls, chocolates or jewelry."

"A good idea. Buy all the gifts you mentioned, then send them to my in-laws' house. Give it to Fay."

"Good, Sir." Please leave the room in wonder. But he kept that order.

*****

In the afternoon when Nero had just arrived home, he found flowers, dolls, chocolates, and a box of jewelry already on the living room table.

Thinking Fay has gone home, he rushes to find Fay to the room. As he was about to step towards the stairs, he undoes his intentions. His eyes were fixed on a piece of envelope on the table.

Curious, he opened the envelope. Apparently from Fay.

****DON'T EVER GIVE ME ANYTHING STUPID LIKE THIS AGAIN. BOUQUETS? YOU THINK I'M DEAD? DOLLS ARE FOR KIDS ONLY. MY BODY IS TOO FAT TO EAT CHOCOLATE. AND AGAIN, I CAN BUY MY OWN JEWELRY. TAKE ALL THESE GIFTS. I DON'T SPOIL! JUST GIVE ME A DIVORCE LETTER****.

Nero scratched his head that was not itchy. He's upset not playing. "I told you, there's no divorce talk before you get well, Fay!" nagelnya.

He directly pressed the Resta number on his HP.

πŸ“ž "Yes, Sir."

"Saran you failed Resta. You are the one who gave the right solution!"

"from internet? Are you stupid or what?"

πŸ“ž "Sorry, Sir. You should also remember that I have never been married. How could I know the answer accurately."

Nero patted his eel. He just remembered that his assistant is a weathered singles. Furious, he turned off the phone.

*****

Nero kept thinking as long as Fay was still at his parents' house. He really doesn't know what to do to get Fay's tenderness again.

"Do you need the contract to be void?" mummy Nero. Considering Fay's feelings had changed, he hesitated a little. Fay must have wanted the divorce very soon.

Nero walked into the room Fay used to sleep in. He looked around slowly. The room was quiet without Fay.

He accidentally sees a piece of photo paper tucked under Fay's sleeping pillow.

"It looks like it's a photographic paper, whose photo is it?" Nero walked closer to the bed. He took a photo tucked under the pillow.

Wedding photo with Fay. The photo was taken after they had made their wedding vows in front of the altar.

Behind the paper was Fay's handwriting.

I gave up God. Mas Nero's happiness is not with me because he never loved me. Please let us get divorced.

"Fay wants a divorce because of the word about my feelings that don't love him" Nero murmured softly.

Nero's speechless. His feelings seemed to whisper a lot about the loyalty of Fay who was present when he needed someone.

"Sorry, Fay." Nero walked out of the room. He got the car keys and jacket. He quickly drove away from home to where Fay was at the moment.

*****

Tok Tok Tok! Nero kept knocking on Fay's room. He knew his wife was inside. Arya is in the gallery. Fay is currently alone at home.

"Fay, I know you're inside."

Silence, there is no affirmation at all.

"Fay, I know I was wrong. I was stupid all along. Sorry, Fay. I hope there is one chance for me. Please get out Fay. I want to talk important things about us."

Still quiet, there is no word from Fay.

"Until any time, I don't want us to divorce. Let's just forget that fucking marriage contract. I can't be far from you, Fay. I misjudged my feelings all along. I ... I love you, Fay."

Fay's room remained silent. There is absolutely no lawfulness.

"Mas Nero, what are you doing in front of papa's room?"

Nero looked back, looking as if Fay stood astonished at his whereabouts. He looked back at the door he had knocked on.

Realizing it wasn't Fay's room, made him feel stupid and ashamed. "Damn," he said in his heart. Panic makes him not notice that from earlier wrong tap the room.

"Why are you here, Mas?" ask Fay.

Nero was slightly flabbergasted at Fay's look. His right hand was moving freely. No more wrapped in casts. Fay's face looked brighter.

"You're recovering, Fay. I am happy to see your condition now" said Nero happy. He walked over, hugging Fay tightly.

"Please, Mom." Fay's contact is uncomfortable.

Nero shook his head strongly. "No Fay. I miss you. Please, don't leave me."

"Mas, aren't you the one we wanted to divorce from the beginning?" isak Fay's.

"Sorry, I'm mistaken Fay. Losing you lately made me realize. I ... I .. can't be without you."

Nero stretched his arms. "I love you, Fay."

Fay was confused by that declaration of love. "You sick, Mom?"

Nero nodded slowly. This time he sobbed, his tears dripping. "I'm very healthy. I love you, Fay. Don't divorce, baby."

Fay saw sincerity in Nero's eyes. His heart immediately warmed.

"I promise, from today on we are a real couple. I love you."

"I swear?"

Nero nodded. "You want?"

Slowly, Fay nodded his head. "You, Mas."

Both embrace. Unbeknownst to them, Galen, who was about to give Fay a surprise breakfast, stared silently from afar. He quietly passed away.
