THE MYSTERY OF RIMBA BARA: The Speech of the Guard

Si Jabrik followed Baskara's steps. They walk in silence. Although the atmosphere was dark, Baskara still memorized the road to the cottage, all the time in the jungle the young man began to have sensitivity, and his eyes were more alert to remember each sign.

Many times he tore his cloth, so that the torch in his hand remained lit. After a while, his eyes sparkled, not far in front of him, the cottage he built had been visible.

"Cape.. Baras..this is me, open the door.." call Baskara when he is at the door of the cottage.

"Yes Kakang.." One voice said. The door opened, Laras who opened it, not far behind looks Cape. Their faces looked cheerful at the arrival of the young man.

Baskara looked back, the handsome young man she had met standing a short distance behind her. "Come on, we've arrived."

With doubtful steps the king approached. His figure is now visible by the light of the coconut oil lamp from inside the cottage.

"Wear..?" a questionable word came out of Laras' mouth.

Baskara turned back towards Laras. "Ah yeah, tonight I'm back not alone Laras, we have a new friend. Let's go in first, let me explain inside."

Laras nodded. Baskara then entered, back he must allow the jabrik youth who looked still hesitant.

Inside the young man killed his animal. "I'm risking my life, I hope it's worth it as a piece of luggage."

Baskara laughed, "You're so much trouble for your best friend, but well, frankly, it's for my game animals until dusk just wandered in the forest." Receiving the deer hunted the jabrik, while he brought it back, he asked Tanjung to make a drink and prepare dinner.

Some time Baskara took care of the deer. The skin, cut into pieces. After that handed over to the Cape to be processed, so that later dried to last for food supplies.

Back in the front room, drinks and food are neatly arranged, served with bamboo cups, and clay plates. The jabrik youth sat dumbstruck, impressed still hesitant with his existence.

"I'm sorry to wait too long friend, if not immediately in the care, I'm afraid your meat is not good anymore" said Baskara broke the silence.

The Jabrik looked up, he nodded. "It's right, Kakang."

"Eh? Why do you call me Kakang?"

"I think you're older than me, so it's only natural that I call you Kakang" he replied innocently.

"The cup is so, all right. And you, do you mind if I call Adi?" ask Baskara again.

"Of course not Kakang."

Baskara looked back and forth, as if looking for something. "Hey, didn't you have Adi's sword? Where is the heirloom?"

"Oh, the King's Sword? I put it outside Kakang, it's impolite to bring it in."

Baskara smiled, "That's how it is. Never mind, continue our conversation later, my stomach is hungry right, let's eat the dish that has been prepared by Laras and Tanjung."

They also dine, interspersed with conversations related to the existence of each. And from that conversation, Baskara now knew, the jabrik youth named Watu Aji. Last week I got lost in the woods, when I was about to take a shortcut to where I was headed.

"Reran right Kakang, years of wandering, in and out of the forest, only this time I found a jungle that is so misleading," he concluded.

"That's Adi, so I say we're the same fate, and if you'd like to, because both come from outside the jungle, it would be nice if we stayed together, helped each other," and then he told him what he knew.

Watu Aji heard with wisdom, and finished Baskara speaking, he was silent for some time as if thinking. Then he said, "What Kakang told me was very interesting, even though it seemed full of dangers that lurk."

"How did you break up Adi? Will you stay with us?" ask Baskara.

"Of course, with the approval of Kakang I am willing, united will be stronger against all threats."

Baskara was happy to hear Watu Aji answer, he also said, "Tomorrow we widen this cottage Adi, we make one more room for your room."

***

The next day, Baskara assisted Watu Aji to add a room in the cottage. Which is intended for the Jabrik youth. With their strong strength and skill, within two days a room made of wood with dry leaves was finished.

"See Adi, the room for you is ready, from tonight you can stay" Baskara told Si Jabrik.

But Watu Aji shook his head, "No Kakang, that room is for Kakang."

"Eh? Why are you this anyway? Didn't we make it for you from the beginning?"

"Not that I do not respect you Kakang, for the rest of my life I used to sleep in the open, therefore, if Kakang allows, let me sleep on a wooden cot that Kakang used to rest, let me sleep on, and Kakang put in this new room" explained Watu Aji.

Now Baskara shakes his head, "And what would you do if I refused to give you the wooden divan?"

"Well, if Kakang refuses, I must..." Jabrik hung his words.

"You're gonna what Watu Aji is?" ask Baskara curiously.

"I'm going to make my own wooden divan, and we both sleep outside...."

Baskara was stunned to hear Si Jabrik's reply. "You're really hard-hearted Adi, well, rather than in vain, I'll occupy this room, but don't blame me if you're cold sleeping outside."

Later that night he invited Si Jabrik to visit the old Raganata, for several days Baskara did not talk to him, Laras and Tanjung who he was tasked with delivering food during the day.

At the sight of yellowish light looks brighter than usual, probably because tonight the moon is reluctant to show its beauty.

From far away Baskara saw that the old man was not alone, there was another figure with him, sitting opposite each other.

Once near Baskara immediately recognized who was the parent's guest. The leader of the Wandering Family, Kudeto.

Two people who were talking turned their faces towards the arrival of Baskara with Si Jabrik. They welcomed with a smile.

The young man saluted Ki Raganata and Kudeto was followed by Watu Aji.

"Sit down.." Ki Raganata.

They sit in two available chairs.

"Ananda's new partner?" said Ki Raganata pitched ask while observing Si Jabrik.

Baskara nodded, "True Ki. New friend. Accidentally met. Same with me, getting lost in the Bara Forest."

"An interesting young man" that's all Ki Raganata said after looking at Si Jabrik.

"I don't think you're so familiar with the Guard" Kudeto said suddenly.

Baskara turned around, smiling, "I didn't expect to see the wandering master here. The Keeper? This is a new term for me."

"Ha ha. Don't confuse Ananda, one of Kudeto's fairness knows where I am, my yellow crystal light invited him here." Raganata shows straight hands forward. "You can see, some of this area is grass, although there are trees, but not how many. And there is the chariot of Mr. Kudeto, the flame of the sign of life we can see between the trees in front, and of course he saw my crystal light" explained the old man.

Baskara followed the direction indicated, and indeed saw a flick of light in the distance.

"The Guard is my best friend Mr. Baskara, we often meet on the way, and apparently our steps are found here, I think it's good that we are often in touch, too, maybe we can solve all problems together. That's also if the old man feels comfortable staying here."  Kudeto got up from his seat, "There are still many things we can say, but I have a family dependant that I should not have left for a long time, so apologize for resigning first," he said later.

Baskara was about to say the word prevent, but he canceled, "I also want to talk longer with the hiking master, maybe at another time I was back in the room of the master."

After parting ways with the old man, Kudeto grabbed a kind of short stick propped up at the root of a large tree, lighting it up. Then with steady strides broke through the pitch of the night with the flame of the torch in hand.

Baskara looked at the departure of the wandering master until his body disappeared among the trees, then returned to face Ki Raganata. The old man looked like he was contemplating something.

"It seems that there is something Aki is thinking about?" tanyakanya.

The old man nodded, "True Ananda, this is what Kudeto told him."

"Is that Ki?"

"The Interference of the Gulots" he answered.

"To be honest Ki, that's what I want to ask you anyway" Baskara said.

"What's your friend's name?" ask the old man to switch his talk.

"I'm Watu Aji Ki" replied Si Jabrik.

Ki Raganata stroked his beard, "The shimmer of magical light coming out of your body is almost as powerful as Ananda Baskara, these two of you are not just any human beings." Look at his eyes and look at Baskara and Watu Aji.

"I mean?" ask Baskara curiously.

"As Kudeto said, I am the Guardian of Ananda, my duty is to guard the Bara Forest region, reminding anyone who is lost of the dangers involved, and to overcome any threats." It stopped immediately. "Because only the Mystics are able to see the reality of the occult veil, so they know what other classes do not know."

Back Baskara was confused with the words of the parents. Surprisingly, every time he spoke to Ki Raganata, he was always dizzy, but strangely, everything the old man said even though confusing, increasingly tickled his curiosity.

"Explain Ki, explain everything, about the Gulots, Devils, Mystics, Groups, and Knights. Frankly, I still don't understand it all."

"Drink, concoction consists of spices, worthy of warming the body." Once again in the projection of his hand intelligence, because no matter when, there was already a tray with two bamboo glasses on it.

Baskara took both, one for him, and one glass at the goose to Si Jabrik.

"Listen well, Ananda, I'll explain everything you're asking." His eyes looked at the moon. When the moon was clouded, it now looks brilliantly decorate the night sky. "In Rimba Bara there are types, groups, and levels" he said. "This type consists of humans, demons, and demons. Humans are like us - we are. The demons are a combination of humans and demons. Demons are creatures that come out of the gates of hell" he continued.

He looked at the young man, when he saw Baskara silent, he said again, "The class of men consists of Fighters, Mystics, and Servants. You Jabrik, Kudeto, are a fighter example, two of your fellow girls are the Servants, and I am a Mystical."

Baskara began to understand what the parents were saying. He bowed his face trying to be more pervasive.

"The levels are made up of the Main Level, First Level, Second Level, Third Level, and Average Level." Ki Raganata stopped explaining. The two young men in front of him remained silent. "Hey!? Are you guys asleep?" tanyanya astonishment.

Two young men looked up equally, "No Ki, we are really listening" Baskara said.

"So I've answered everything you've asked, is there anything that's not clear yet?"

"The Gulot Ki, what are they including?" ask the young man.

"The Gulots belong to the Type of Demons, most of them are Fighters, but the lowest tier, the Rank Level," replied Ki Raganata.

"Keep what about them? I mean, like what the wandering masters say, why are they starting to work up their guts?"

The old man paused for a moment, "That's what I thought, since the battle a dozen years ago, the Devils were smashed, and the Gate of Invisibility was sealed again, why are the Gulots back in action?"

"Or is anyone leading them?" Remembering the possibility Baskara presented by Mr. Kudeto.

Ki Raganata tapped his finger on the bamboo glass in front of him. "I have not dared to conclude, I think it is necessary to investigate further."

"Are there other than the Gulots any other kind of Devils who live Ki?"

Looking at Ki Raganata's eyes looked in the direction of the young man, "Unfortunately as it is, The Devil's Snoring is said to not have actually died, only badly injured, very badly hurt for him to return to spreading threats. All this time the only worry for the Jungle of Bara was the Gulots and the Demons. And if the real Devil Snore is able to recover, I can't imagine the consequences, maybe the Nebulb turns into the Jungle of Hell..."

Seriate.
