Story of Mystery 2
The Shadow of Death

Bagas was busy collecting the dry wood and started lighting it. By late evening, the sun was almost entirely submerged in the western horizon. He has to make sure they are protected by the flames tonight, otherwise their safety will be threatened.

Well, it's been four days that he and his entourage have been struggling in this forest. Travel exploring the forest that was originally expected to eliminate the burden of urban atmosphere where they live, even the opposite happens. Deathly Terror! That's what happened. Since a few days, some of his colleagues have been found dead in horrible ways. How not to be terrible, to die with an outstretched tongue and a blue neck, is terrible for Bagas. Moreover, the bodies of his comrades who were in death prey looked pale withered, as if all the blood in their bodies was sucked out.

Are the two black marks on his neck that he saw on his colleagues' bodies a bite? The killer's cruel way of sucking the victim's blood? Think Bagas. Kontan napenya bristled thinking until there.

Busying himself the young man again threw the wood into the bonfire he made. It was their only hope to survive, not to be caught in the darkness of the night, because every time his companion was killed, at a time when there was no flame to guard, and as long as there was a flame, the fire, he proved that nothing happened.

Bagas looked towards the metal teapot beside his backpack. Should he be attacking water to make a warming drink now? Or wait for two of his friends to return.

Ah, yes. wonder also he, why Cipto and the girl have not returned as well? Didn't they say not for long? Just pick up the cloth of the girl left by the river while taking a bath? Suddenly there was anxiety in the young man's chest. Looking at his eyes gazing towards the orange tinge in the west direction, the surrounding atmosphere was already dimly lit in a dark shadow cover.

Trying to relieve the anxiety, the young man diverted it by taking the metal teapot, and started pouring clean water in it. Not too dark, he was sure soon his friend would appear.

Just now he put a teapot on the fire, suddenly he heard a scream from a distance. "Aaaakh..!"

Surprise is not the boy's bitch. His chest clanged like a hammer. A copy! The pecker is in the heart. His eyes were wild, and were fixed on a piece of dried wood burning in front of him. In a panic, he reached for the rod, for it was his only weapon to drive out the terror of the shadow of death.

As soon as the rod clasped, it ran towards the origin of the shout. Enough he lost his friends, he who was originally five now lives together, then he will not know his fate if one of his remaining friends died in the snatch by the death.

The young man was stumbling, but his determination was stronger than the pain he was suffering, the bushes that blocked him with a flame in hand.

Oh..! One cry surprised him, a slender body running from the front jumped to the side avoiding him.

He looked, "Sumini! Where's Cipto!" He shouted at the white-clothed girl. The girl nodded while covering her face, but her hand pointed towards the direction she had run.

Bagas's eyes followed the direction the girl pointed. He quickly returned his feet. Stay firmly grasping the wooden trunk with a burning fire.

Not far from it, he saw an oval body. "Cipto!" Hysterical shouting. He jumped up, throwing a log. He immediately wanted to check on his friend's condition.

Almost he screamed hysterically the second time he saw the condition of his partner. Die. His partner's body had withered completely, with bulging eyes and an outstretched tongue.

"Ohh Cipto..." That's all that came out of his mouth. A moment in his arms the body of his friend. Sadness is bigger than fear. The young man was not shy about lamenting the death of his friend.

After a long time of rest while hugging the body of his colleague, the young man's head was raised, the atmosphere around him darkened, lucky, the moon showed his face, until the light helped the young man's eyes.

With a slow step back down the path he had originally traveled, not long ago he walked, in front of him he saw a body with a white cloth. Standing in the moonlight, with her long hair, and both hands covering her face.

Sumini's. Ah, why did he just remember the girl, thankfully he was okay. His anxiety just made him leave the girl.

Indeed, Sumini is not a friend of his journey, he and his friends found the girl in this forest, lost he said. A beautiful, quiet girl. It was possible that before Sumini was the same as her. Entering the forest with his entourage, and experiencing events similar to him. In terror by the shadow of death. Well, it could be that's what the girl experienced, until still in shock, and trauma so rarely talk.

And apes to him, following him and his friends, and having to see and experience again terrible events.

A few steps from the girl. Bagas laid Cipto's body on the ground. Then he stepped closer to Sumini. Right now it's good to talk to comfort and strengthen the girl, however she must still be afraid, because she saw one terrible incident in front of her eyes.

As soon as he got in front of the girl, Bagas' hand reflexively stroked her hair, his mouth opened, "Don't be afraid of Sumini, I'm still here, I promise I'll protect you" she said softly.

The girl didn't say back, she just nodded.

"The day has gone up at night, it's good we go back to where we will spend the night," said the young man again persuaded.

The girl nodded again, and even now accompanied by a soft laugh. Bagas frowned. Was this girl too heavy to bear the weight of the incident she had just experienced? Thought the young man. It could be so, as well as himself, he himself was not even concerned with the shadow of fear that haunted him. The limits of fear have been exceeded, which now arises courage, and he is determined to face all beings who have taken the lives of his comrades.

On the door returned the girl's long hair. "Oh, Sumini, enough of a heavy burden you think, all of this must have passed, and we'll be fine."

The girl laughed again. "Sumini? You why?" Gusar is now a young man. "Open your face, and look at me, rest assured we'll be safe."

The girl stopped laughing, slowly opening both hands that covered her face. Bagas smiled as his persuasion finally paid off. But a moment later a faint smile from his lips, he was flabbergasted to see the girl's face.

Now he could clearly see the face in front of him, but not the face he hoped to see. A pale white face plastered. And his eyes, his whole white eyes, of all that, that made the young man unable to breathe was at his mouth, that mouth was a vile grin, showing sharp teeth with two fangs sticking out long.

"Don't you want to see my face, Bagas?" A hoarse voice came out from the creature's mouth.

The young man locked his mouth, his face pias covered with fear that was like being thrown away. He is unable to move. Only his mind was still capable of staving off hope. Apparently the girl is a demonic creature that has been a predator of death that has been doing terror! Sumini deserves to disappear during the day and avoid the fireplace at night, for reasons not accustomed to the glare of light, so foolish they do not suspect. Honey, it's too late.

Now the creature's two hands were raised quickly towards Bagas' neck. And strangled him hard. The young man was helpless, his tongue sticking out in pain. Next, two poignant sharp fangs tore through the skin of his neck.

Done it.
