Chapter 09 - Friendship Match

Reza spent a week in school. Reza got word that on Sunday, June 12, 2022 there will be a friendly match between Harapan Palu High School and SMK Negeri 2 Palu.

The match will be Reza's first full-time High School match. Reza is getting ready to train the day before tomorrow's game.

On Saturday, they were gathered by the club's coaches to train ahead of a friendly. The coach also warned them that friendly opponents this time around would be difficult, and that team was always the tough opponent of Hope High School in the school tournament.

“Eca go first, Mom!” With jersey uniform given by school —have black with yellow— motif as his goalkeeper uniform.

Reza tore up her bag and immediately ran along the pedestrian sidewalk happily. He is very excited, of course he is impatient which team will be revealed, he hopes to be included in the starting line-up.

A few minutes later, Reza finally arrived. From the school gate, he had seen a group of loyal spectators already in the stands of a football field that fit about 2,000 people. He also saw his comrades were practicing defense.

“You!” A shrill voice made Reza immediately run.

There he faces directly the coach of the High School Hope team. The skin is brownish with eyes that resemble the color of the skin but slightly darker. His high body posture makes the tall Reza should slightly raise his head.

“I Sofyan. High School Team Coach Hope.”

“I Reza Kusuma, position as goalkeeper, please help!” Reza's a little nervous.

“Alright, join the others.” Without a smile, Reza shuddered a little.

Reza nodded his head then immediately approached his practicing comrades.

“Emm ... hi?” Reza is nervous.

“Oh! You're the goalkeeper who said it was good? Greetings, I am Amin, your senior. My class 11.”

Reza returned Amin's hand. He also introduced his name more clearly. Finally everyone has known each other with the new child who entered with their seniors. Reza himself is preparing to train as a goalkeeper who is prepared as the starting line-up tomorrow.

For hours they trained hard. Reza even only conceded 1 goal during small team training inversely with Riyandi who conceded 4 goals. In the goalkeeper training period as well, Reza was able to finish well without any obstacles.

After 4pm, they were gathered to announce who would be the starting line-up. Surely Reza immediately trusted as a leader under the crossbar.

The formation that coach Sofyan applied was 3-4-3. One of the mainstay formations of coach Shin with the Indonesian national team. Sofyan himself believes his foster children can apply the formation well so that the opportunity in the future they can get used to the formation that they could have been selected as a retainer of the national team.

Sofyan also already knows that Reza has been selected as a goalkeeper in the U-17 national team, so he tried to test how good Reza in his eyes which for coach Bima Reza looks very good.

On the defensive line are Haikal, Muhammad Rafli and Amin. This formation makes Arkhan and Adi Satria must be temporarily eliminated from the starting line-up.

There is a midfielder Jaka as a water carrier midfielder, Teguh Sucipto is in charge of accompanying Jaka as a versatile midfielder, or can be called a playmaker. On the right and left side there are winger that can go down to help the defense as well as attack —Danar and Dennis—. Only Teguh himself was 10th class in midfield, Danar and Dennis 11th class then Jaka 12th class, for this starting line-up.

On the right side is Auff, his position is advanced as a striker who was originally a right-wing midfielder.

This was a combined formation of 10th grade, 11th grade as well as 12th grade.

Formation that strengthens that SMA Harapan still has high expectations in the future, they intend to win the Youth Tournament trophy again in 2022/2023 which will be held in a few weeks.

They disbanded and returned to training until 6 p.m. After that, they disbanded to prepare for tomorrow.

Reza himself asked for a dead-ball practice. He wanted to try how powerful the abilities of Leonel were bestowed upon him by something that seemed impossible, the system.

He was even helped by Riyandi as a goalkeeper with several other colleagues as a living fence to help in escorting Reza's dead ball kick.

The coach is still very kind, he thinks Reza should only be under the crossbar. He intends to punish Reza with mental error in this dead ball kick.

Reza was prepared to put the ball right in the bow circle outside the penalty city. Inside the penalty box, the living fence was prepared by Riyandi. There was Haikal, Adi Satria, Arkhan, and also Muhammad Rafli.

“I'm ready!” exclaim Reza while retreating three stamps back.

His left foot is ready. He is actually able to wear both legs, but the left leg according to him is better than the right foot.

Reza stared at the ball while simulating Leonel's shadow in doing a dead ball. Even the position of the legs and body that is slightly tilted to the side is also exactly the same as he demonstrated.

Reza glanced at the goal. The target is a narrow corner of the top of the goal. Slowly but surely, he ran small then focused on the pedestal of his right foot how many centimeters near the ball, the body leaning to the front side.

The inner left foot hits the ball. The ball was lifted and bolted to form a beautiful bow that swooped towards the top corner of the goal.

Riyandi who realized the danger of this kick immediately jumped towards the kick. The living fence is even passed easily, so Riyandi should not underestimate it.

The ball rotated quickly in the air until it finally entered the goal which made Riyandi only catch the wind. The kick just now made everything go silent.

Even coach Sofyan who was still watching the brand was just stunned then the corner of his lips rose forming a mysterious grin. Her feelings are really strange.

“Ooohh! Yeaah!” Reza exclaimed in spirit while jumping.

No one thought Reza's dead ball kick would be really deadly like a torpedo that only a few centimeters left from the target, just wait for fate!

After the ball died just now, everything was called by coach Sofyan.

“Already! Disperse you, rest. Tomorrow's friendly starts!” Sofyan just left after that.
