Today, I took Ali to school. So you have to leave often this morning, not having time to deliver Ali. Mom didn't dare to take her motorcycle into the school grounds. I'm afraid it's hard to get out of the gate again. As a result, Ali had to walk down the school grounds on foot, carrying his heavy backpack.
“Hai, Li. Javin said you guys last weekend vacation together huh. He said ya” greet Handoko while walking with Ali. Handoko is actually not the child Ali wanted to walk hand in hand with him in the school yard. In fact, Ali never wanted to be seen adjacent to Handoko. Especially until considered as a friend of Handoko. His shame must be incredible. They may not disappear until they graduate.
But Handoko opened the conversation with the words, ”said Javin.” This made Ali not ignore Handoko as before. Ali wants to learn from Javin. Whether Javin is a good boy or has changed so well since his nose he hit until it bled. Is indeed Javin not a nosy child, but instead a child who is considerate and friends with all children, even with children like Handoko. The questions ran through Ali's head. Makes him unable to respond appropriately to Handoko's greeting. Ali just smiled slightly at Handoko.
Handoko happy. This may be a rare experience for him. Have a friend walk along to class. He was more eager to get along and open a longer conversation with Ali. “Say Javin you guys do magic together. Javin said you put eggs in a bottle. Just candles and ice. Bener enggak” said Handoko told Ali with questions as long as they climbed the school stairs.
Ali still could not believe what Handoko had just said. So he just nodded slowly with a small smile. Is it true that Javin has spoken so much to Handoko? Where do they talk? Is it in the presence of many people like Ali is experiencing right now? Benak Ali was full of questions.
“Kereen!!!“ shouts Handoko. Unfortunately he screamed as Ali and Handoko stepped into the classroom. The lesson hours have not yet begun. But the children and Ustadzah Intan and Ali's classmates had already gathered in the classroom. All so throw a glance at them, because of the screams of Handoko earlier. “I also want to try Ah” connect Handoko. “Still, Li” said again as he patted Ali on the shoulder and rushed to his seat.
Ali was very uncomfortable with what had just happened. Zia just chuckled a little at the change of her best friend. The awkwardness increased with Aira's gaze as she frowned at him, following him until Ali got to his seat. Let alone Aira, Ali still did not believe what had just happened. Ali entered the class with Handoko.
Ustadzah Intan is very happy with the latest developments he saw. - Alhamdulillah, Handoko already has friends. Maybe Ali lately so able to empathize, what it feels like to be a Handoko who avoided the same friends, since Ali was mired in reproach as a son of a khamar maker. So now Ali can make friends with Handoko who avoided friends throughout her life at this school - he thought.
“Faa innamaa ‘al usyri yusran” says Ustadzah Intan lirih. Only he can hear it. Always with difficulty there is ease. After all the trouble of fixing the good name of Ali and his father, there was an ease for Handoko to make friends, thought Ustadzah Intan. Ustadzah Intan also looked at Ali with a smile with a sign of gratitude.
Ali was getting uncomfortable. It must be the same as Aira, Ustadzah Intan was mistaken, he thought. But Ali believes this will all pass. People will soon forget it. And not only him, Ali thought Javin would also experience the same thing. Because Handoko said, Javin had already spoken long with him.
As usual, the hours of study with Ustadzah Intan felt so fast passing. Ustadzah Intan is a great teacher. Students not only understand what they are taught, but also enjoy every hour. The break bell also rings. The children rushed to tidy up the books and scattered out of the classroom.
“Ali!. “ call Ustadzah Intan before Ali can leave class with Zia. Zia chose to go out first, leaving Ali with Ustadzah Intan. “Please find Handoko on the toilet! Since then he has permission to go to the toilet until now has not returned” Ustadzah Intan's orders.
“Why me, Ustadzah” replied Ali protest.
“You ‘kan already familiar with Handoko”
“Not really Ustadzah! Not familiar! Just so happened to be we entered the class together” said Ali again.
“Iya is also nothing, Li. It is not a sin. In fact Ali can be rewarded for connecting the rope silaturrahim, so a new friend Handoko”
“But I am not friends with Handoko” protests Ali with a disgusted expression.
Ali's classroom is on the second floor. There is only a canteen and a special toilet for ustadz and ustadzah on the second floor. Ali chose to search the closest place first, the canteen. And it turns out that close is not necessarily friendly. The canteen was too crowded and crowded for Ali. And it seems there is no effort from the school to enlarge the canteen or make a new canteen on the other floor. Indeed, schools prefer children to bring their own supplies from home or subscribe to catering services that are recommended by the school. That way the safety of food consumed by students becomes more secure.
Ali saw Javin and his friends just coming out of the cafeteria. Javin immediately greeted Ali who still felt awkward mingling with Javin in front of his followers. Previously Javin himself also avoided showing familiarity with Ali for fear of being mistaken for weak, doing nothing to avenge the person who had broken his nose. But this time Javin's hospitality looks sincere. Ali told me that he was told by Intan's ustadzah to find Handoko.
“Waah.. has become your close friend Handoko now. So jealous of me!” javin said teasingly.
“Apaan ‘Sih! If Ustadzah is not forced, I will not find him. You guys saw him 'not”
“Neg ‘tuh. Usually he often sees him following us, but today has not seen”, Javin replied.
“Ya has” said Ali while swinging a small wave of hands at Javin and his friends as a sign of goodbye. He rushes towards the stairs while avoiding awkwardness in the presence of Javin's friends. Javin follows Ali with a mysterious look and smile. Some close friends of Javin immediately understood, there will be exciting events after this. The Javin they knew wouldn't let Ali go.
The Ikhwan toilet seeks to reflect Ali's school identity as an Integrated Islamic School. No urinal, all are toilet rooms with ****** squat. That's why overall, the toilet is equivalent to three classrooms. Ali of course never entered the toilet, but he believed the extent was the same.
The front room is specially prepared for ustadz. Ali still remembers his father strongly objecting to the provision of a special toilet for ustadz. Dad really does not like if people are differentiated his opportunity to get a service that should be the same for all humans. Kebelet belongs to all humans. If the kebellet is already acute, then it is unfair for the disciple to travel a further distance in order to survive. If the pretext because of the cleanliness of wakefulness even dad still can not accept. Ustadz had to know if it turned out that the toilet was not clean because his students were not disciplined in washing. Because it means that the teaching of holiness for students, whether it is in their respective homes or in school is not enough. Then make a program, activity or whatever it is called that can make students more disciplined in maintaining toilet hygiene. Not just to make yourself more exclusive.
After a long time of expressing his objections through social media or meetings with several teachers, I finally stopped protesting. Ali thinks dad's giving up. Ali only found out the reason after one visit to my father's office. Since the parking lot there has been a place devoted to officials. When Ali asked if the father also expressed any objection to this preferential treatment, the father did not reply. When Ali entered the toilet, Ali found one urinal that was made lower than the other. Ali thought it was for the kids and wanted to try it out. But it was still too high for Ali.
Out of the toilet Ali asked Dad about the urinal. Dad said it was specifically for the head of the office. Ali laughed amusedly at the father's reply and asked if the father also expressed objections to the provision of a special urinoar for the head of the office. Father said he had raised an objection, but no one cared. Ali asked again if the father objected to the preferential treatment for someone, apparently Dad said that is not it.
In Dad's office, the height is more or less the same as the head of the office was only Dad. So Dad often bullied his friends. Salary may be different but at least the toilet is the same. And unfortunately, if the urinoar looks less clean and smelly, the father who is often scapegoated is not clean in using the toilet. Because no one dares to reprimand the chief. Though the father never used the urinoar for fear of splashing into his pants and difficult to wear Salah.
“Handoko!.. Han!.. wanted Ustadzah Intan” shouted Ali in the male student toilet. The male toilet at the break is still a mystery to Ali. Why the toilet is always quiet at rest. Whereas in class hours almost always someone asks permission to leave the class on the grounds of going to the toilet. Why they do not choose to go to the toilet at rest hours.
“Handoko.!” ali shouted, getting annoyed.
“Who...? Ali yes...” heard a voice reciting from one of the rooms. Ali does not know Handoko's voice, but he believes the answer is Handoko.
“Iya. You searched Ustadzah Intan” replied Ali ketus.
