Ustadzah Intan then took a set of princess uniforms and handed them to Aira. “Bring this to Disha, then you should apologize to her. There's no need to explain why you did it to Disha, or any of the friends in the class who asked.”
Aira accepted obediently then rushed out. He did not dare to look at Ali as he passed by. Aira's embarrassed to get caught all this she did because of Ali. Ali just followed Aira out of the room with her gaze. His feelings are mixed. She was happy because Aira cared about her. But it was also sad to have to drag Aira to a problem that shouldn't need to exist. Zia noticed the awkwardness of her two best friends. It made her forget the annoyance at Handoko. He imagined how Ali's face would meet red, when one day he reminded Ali of today.
Ustadzah Intan approached Ali and Zia. Ali and Zia have fallen. But what they later heard was beyond belief. “Thank you, Ali, Zia. For everything you've done to Handoko. You guys are true friends”
Ali and Zia looked up, staring at Intan's corpse. “Not ustadzah, we are not friends of Handoko. Not at all. We just stuck to the state” said Zia quickly. Ali just hopes the sound of the Ustadz Shawab's miserly machine is loud enough to make Handoko not hear Zia's words.
“But you guys are trying to help him. Keep her secret so she doesn't get embarrassed in front of people. As far as Ustadzah knows, that's what a true friend does.”
“Not an ustadzah, I was so because I wanted to help Ali so that he did not get into trouble again. My best friend, yes.. Ali.” Zia said still trying to explain.
“And I also got this problem because Ustadzah asked me to find Handoko. Oath, ustadzah. I never had any plans to go to class with Handoko this morning. If it is because of that Ustadzah so think I am friends with him. He was the one who came this morning suddenly approached me” Ali said to help explain.
“But you guys stay there ‘right? Stay by Handoko's side as long as she's stuck in the toilet. You could have left him alone. Or directly say the same ustadzah without caring later Handoko embarrassed and humiliated. But you guys aren't so ‘ right? That makes Ustadzah proud of you. You guys are friends, help each other, protect each other the honor of his best friend”
Ali and Zia were just about to sue Ustadzah Intan's last sentence. They believe all good people will do the same. It doesn't have to be a friend. But they had not opened their mouths, Intan's ustadzah had put his index finger into his mouth. Signs are nothing more to talk about and there are no more excuses.
“Ustadzah, can't we just be punished. I was told to clean up a class, copy a book, or whatever. As long as it is not considered to be his friend Handoko.” Zia ventured to keep talking.
“You go straight back to class yes, later Ustadzah follows” said ustadzah as if not heard Zia lament.
Ali's class was already rowdy when she Ali and Zia entered the class. Under normal circumstances, the class will be rowdy if left by the ustadzah, especially now. “Eh, Li! Any where to? Your boyfriend took a shower on Disha. Too bad you didn't see” Faiz said lightly. Seeing that Ali had no response at all, Faiz continued to chat with another friend.
Ali and Zia returned to their seats. Still haven't talked to each other. Aira who had been sitting in her chair seemed to have finished serving questions friends about what had just happened and why Aira did it. Ali looked at Aira who was sitting beside him. Aira looked back and smiled. As if nothing happened.
Aye! Better so. Just continue with everything. Think nothing happened, Ali thought. Ustadzah Intan also had the same message. Ali looked towards Zia. “Nobody knows that we didn't tell. No one believes we are friends with Handoko” Ali told Zia. “Let Ustadzah Intan think what he likes. How tomorrow after tomorrow depends on ourselves and our destiny,”.
Not long heard the voice of Ustadzah Intan telling friends Ali who had played outside the classroom to enter. Gradually the class returned to order and Ustadzah Intan resumed his studies. He takes his own advice. Act as if nothing has happened. That way there is nothing to explain to anyone.
Then Disha and her friends returned to class. Only Ali and Aira followed Disha with their gazes, until she finally sat down in her chair. His face was also cheerful. Disha smiled at Ali. Ali still didn't understand what he meant. Hopefully that doesn't mean one day he will take revenge on Aira.
The other children were busy observing the cloud images in their respective package books. Ali looked around her class. Hardly anyone cared about Disha's presence. Ali is not so sure whether because of what Aira has done is not horrendous, or because it is a fourth grade elementary school child is not so concerned with the problems of others.
And finally Handoko entered the classroom. His pants are a little bit of a slipper. He stood for a moment in front of the door. Maybe say hello. But Ali did not listen. His classmates were debating the issue of irrigation rice fields zakat which is only 5% while the rain container is 10%. Irrigated rice fields also get water from rain. Ustadzah Intan showed his shrewdness in multitasking. With a small nod he allowed Handoko to enter but did not seem to leave his attention to his students who were explaining the high cost of making irrigation channels so it was appropriate if his zakat was only 5%.
Ali, Aira and Zia looked at Handoko until she reached her seat. Then Handoko pointed her two thumbs at the three of them. The three compactly cast a glance at Faiz, who was mandated to sit next to Handoko. Faiz shrugged his shoulders at Ali, Aira and Zia. The three immediately stared straight at the ustadzah trying to follow what was being talked about.
Ali was amazed at what he had just seen. Unlike when Disha entered the classroom. Most of them don't care. But there were some who asked Disha if everything was fine. Some female students. But when Handoko entered the class, some students even tried not to see even though Handoko had smiled at him. Perhaps that was also why Faiz was confused as Ali, Aira and Zia looked at him.
Ali then looked at each other with Zia and Aira. The three smiled with relief. Whatever Ustadz Shawab had done, he succeeded. Handoko can be released. Ustadz Shawab is cool. Ali can't wait for his skills class next year.
