"It seems later if I have children I want to have a pair like them" said Skylar honestly.
"What?!"
Teon was clearly astonished, how could Skylar have thought of having two children? Maybe these two kids said something that made Skylar's heart stir.
But Teon did not want to think about it further, he just smiled after not wanting to ask more.
"Don't be surprised, I just want to have two children instead of asking for a twenty billion wedding dowry" joked Skylar who was again spiked with a loose and sincere laugh.
"Then Brother Teon has to return to the nursery, this is near meal time" said Rani interrupted.
"Then you should eat too" Teon said softly, looking at Rani and Daffa alternately.
The boys did look very sweet and funny naturally if Skylar wanted to have a pair of children like them.
"Well, well, we'll go back to the nursery now Mama will definitely worry if we don't return soon" Rani replied as she pulled Daffa's hand in the opposite direction to the child care unit.
"then we go in first, brother, see you!"
The two little backs of the boy who might be under 12 years old were slowly drifting away, passing by as the seconds of time rolled on.
"They're really great kids" Skylar said after believing the two boys had drifted away.
"Why can you say that?"
"They're both regular patients, Mas. the child cancer fighters who must even be willing to lose their fun playing time outside the hospital," Skylar explained with a fixed look at the sky.
"Their spirit is so amazing that they look so cheerful like the other kids."
Skylar fixed the orthopedic aids attached to his feet, "that made me want to finish my studies and get a doctor's degree. people like Daffa and Rani desperately need special treatment from the best doctors in order to heal."
Teon gently rubbed Skylar's head while smiling sincerely. "a good-hearted doctor like you is what is really needed most in the medical world."
...****...
The vast sky this time is so bright blue with small clouds that move slowly following the wind direction looks just as bright as the smile of Skylar who looks busy joking with Rani and Daffa that afternoon in the hospital garden.
Skylar volunteered to teach the two boys a math lesson at Daffa's request yesterday.
"I didn't expect that the math would be this confusing" Daffa said with a frown.
Rani glared back, "when the insistent will learn mathematics, will you."
Because physical conditions do not allow them to continue formal education like other children in school, they get private tutoring in the hospital three times a week.
At least that is what the two confessed.
"I guess that way I can be as smart as Brother Teon later.I'm really envious to see a super handsome man with a genius brain like Kak Teon," grumbled Daffa who even tickled Skylar's laughter.
Teon who was correcting the results of Daffa's work chuckled softly. "in addition to hard work, you also need to rely on your charm."
Daffa rebuked. "a handsome man will lose to a persistent man."
"But a persistent person can lose to a lucky person" Teon casually replied while giving a note of important points on the mistakes in Daffa's work.
"You know? women can be superior to men because they are more tenacious and diligent" Skylar added.
Rani looked at the results of her work that had been corrected by Skylar with satisfaction.
"If this time I get 80 points, then tomorrow I have to get 100 points."
"A very cool spirit, Rani. I'm sure later you can be a great person," praised Teon with a smile.
"What about me, brother?"
"Daffa must also be more enthusiastic about learning.remember, no success comes on its own without hard work" said Teon, giving Daffa's book with 60 points.
Skylar recalls his childhood, which he spent more time studying than playing with his peers.
Not without reason, he did all that to get rid of his loneliness when it comes to growing up without a mother's affection.
Papa Lucas was busy working from morning until night to ensure Skylar's future was brilliant so the girl thought that continuing to study until getting the highest grades would pay for the man's hard work alone. Yeah, there's nothing little Skylar wants except pride from the Papa to him.
Both corners of the girl's lips were drawn, reflecting back how wide and silly Papa Lucas' smile was when he heard that his son became a general champion at school for the first time. Skylar was proud to be able to make her Papa smile so widely with her own efforts.
"Sister was only raised by Papa from childhood and it obviously made him feel very lonely," Skylar began the story. "formerly, brother continued to learn so rarely to play to make Papa proud."
"Does my sister have a brother?" this time Daffa asked.
Skylar. "My father has no children but me. That's why loneliness has plagued my life since childhood."
Rani looked at Skylar curiously. "then, what happened after?"
"Silver continued to study diligently until finally becoming a general champion remained from first grade elementary school until graduation. Papa is very proud of it, and it's a joy for my brother" Skylar continued, recalling his childhood.
"Living with a parent with enough possessions doesn't guarantee you can feel truly happy" Teon added.
Teon himself grew up in simple economic conditions after the death of his father when he and Jeno were very small. Mother gave up the assets of their father's legacy sold to finance Teon and Jeno's education to get the best and the Mother's business did not disappoint, he said, now Teon is famous as one of the most successful young lecturers in the country.
Teon is also a self-knowing child, he never defied his parents and continued to study seriously until he managed to get many scholarship offers.
"Most importantly as a child, we must not disappoint both parents while they are still alive" Skylar added in a trembling voice, truly missing the long-gone mother.
Teon gently rubbed Skylar's back.
"Your parents are still complete, aren't they? then you should be grateful because we, these two people you consider successful, did not grow up in the warmth of complete parental love."
Daffa and Rani nodded steadily.
"Ready, Brother! we won't be lazy to learn to make our parents proud!"
"Smart kid..." Skylar wiped away her melted tears. "remember, you must succeed no matter how many obstacles you face."
A beautiful woman dressed in a maroon dress seemed to smile so gently watching the warm interaction between Skylar, Teon and Daffa and Rani.
"My son, you must always be happy, you deserve to be happy all your life."
