SISTER SISTER
Episode 24 "Lope Is You"

A bouquet of light blue flowers and a blue ribbed envelope. The romance he had just received a moment ago, displayed a sweet smile that had been plastered on his face. It quickly turned into disappointment.

The hands vibrate when they remove the tape that locks the envelope and opens it. Read every line of the contents of the letter addressed only to him. A moment later his smile disappeared into an awkward grin. His happiness was eroded by the short words written in the letter.

The loving word is written there.

“Dear My Lope”

The first line that is written is followed by a statement.

“I love you.”

Closed a name that was attached to him.

“Naelion Sandhika.”

Kena's teeth grinding. He's boos. ONLY! THREE! THE LINE!

Though Kena expects long words that flatter her height. Just like the love letters that his girl friends get at school.

“HAHAHAHAHAAAHAHA!” Unable to hold back laughter. “Jeez, this damn brat!”

A short, piercing word like this did indeed match Nael's style. Only one core line could already explain everything. Ilove you.

“Hahh..

Clutching the flower bouquet tightly to the chest. He misses Nael even more. These days he hasn't seen the guy, not even in the apartment. In Kena's mind, perhaps Nael is currently hiding somewhere to surprise her. Preparing a romantic dinner for the two of them, or at least buying her a cake? Well, even if Nael couldn't have done something like that. Just to hope. Hope is probably too high.

He grabbed his phone, then called Nael. When the ringing of the phone stops and the call is lifted, the voice from the other side of the call belongs to someone else. Once again he had to face disappointment over his own imagination. For the words that followed the voice were a mess that Kena could not even imagine.

“Because, this is grandpa.” A voice that receives his call. “How are you there baby?” tanyanya.

“Grandfather Stevial? When did you come to Indonesia?” ask Kena who can't help her happiness. “What is Nael with Grandpa?”

Stevial Lesseter was the biological grandfather of Naelion Shandika who had lived in England. Stevial is the only member of the family closest to Nael. It was Stevial's grandfather who raised Nael and who bore all of his accommodations all along. Kena very rarely met or talked to him, although the father was very familiar with Grandpa Steval.

If the Grandfather had received the call on behalf of Nael, he would probably already be in Indonesia and currently be with Nael. Or even Nael who has flown back to England.

Kena immediately dismissed the curial thoughts.

“Grandpa should have told me that he was coming, so I could come and pick up Grandpa at.”

“Kakek will definitely visit you in Indonesia next time,” said Grandpa friendly.

However, the direction of the conversation did not match what Kena wanted.

“Meanings Grandpa?”

“Because, there's something grandfather has to tell you.” Grandpa Steval replied in a serious tone.

Sitting up straight immediately. He felt a bad feeling from the direction of this conversation. “What happened?” ask Worry.

The voice became silent for a moment. The bitter taste that appeared in his lips made Kena feel afraid. He didn't want to guess what had happened. Even though he started to feel a chill creeping into his body, his hand remained firmly holding the phone so as not to fall. The long pause seemed to hint at silence before the storm came.

“Because baby, Nael is back in England. He will not return to Indonesia.” Grandpa Stevial started the conversation, “Your engagement with Nael will also end here. Grandfather spoke to your father, we agreed to end your engagement. Grandfather hopes that you can understand the situation, this is the best for both of you.”

“What does Grandpa mean? Isn't the discussion of this engagement already finished long ago, Grandpa and Papa have agreed to let us stay together.” Resolutely reminded

Grandpa Stevial shook his head even though Kena couldn't see that, “Grandfather is sorry dear. Grandpa knows you've been the most considerate of Nael all along. However, Grandfather can't take away your happiness anymore. Being with Nael will only burden you. You deserve to get better men dear.”

“I've never felt burdened!” Kena bit her lower lip, “Let me talk to Nael. He couldn't possibly agree with this decision!”

He rejected what he had just heard. It's too sudden! At least let him prepare himself or negotiate with Nael first. That guy can't decide anything rashly. Kena's brain tried to digest all the points by force, but she still did not understand the reason all this could happen.

“Let me talk to Nael!” pinta Kena again.

“Honey, Nael himself who asked for this engagement ended.” Obviously Grandpa Steval. “Kakek has no idea what has happened to you guys since Nael returned to Indonesia, but Nael insists on this decision.”

Highlight eyes Kena cooling down, “Have not our relationship been fine all this time. He just sent me flowers. This letter too,”

Hugging her bouquet tightly, she suddenly realized that there was one thing she had read about in Nael's magazine. He didn't want to ask her but, uh,

“What does this flower mean by farewell?”

Kena's tongue gets bitter when she says that.

“This is farewell.”

Freeze. A coldness spread all over his back. His breath was held for a moment before blowing weakly.

“...................”

To hold his voice from the urge to scream. He tried to make the call several more times, but Nael's cell phone number could no longer be reached. The phone slipped out of Kena's grasp just like that. Kena dropped her body on the mattress, on her back with her arms covered her two reddened eyes.

“Hahh, hahh...” heavy breath sounds.

Farewell flowers. That is the meaning of the flowers he received. Huhh. Kena's eyes feel sore even though they have been closed. He blinked a few times and the water dripping from the edge of his eye fell to the side.

The feeling of betrayal that pierced his heart so deeply. Not knowing anymore should he be angry, upset, sad, or resigned to accept. But this coldness in his heart was real. As if air was taken from his lung cavity, tightness.

“Hahaha..” the laugh is flat.

You close your eyes again, no! He can't accept all this!

Before his consciousness went crazy, his hands quickly grabbed the phone he had just dropped. This time he didn't call Nael, but the first person that came to his mind. When the call is connected Kena is very grateful, then uses all the strength left of her consciousness to pronounce the name. Depends on his fate there.

Because right now you don't want to be alone.

“RIO!”

“This is farewell.”

The words were bitter in his tongue. Nael throws his hand-held phone to the side, hitting the wall and cracking. The flickering screen was like his heart, and then it went out unlit. He said it and he was the one who was hurt the most.

But for the sake of happiness. YEP! For the sake of Kena, that was all, that was all that mattered!

How could he hold it any longer. Nael knew sooner or later they were going to part. His memory displays an angled home play area. The scene of Kena kissing the other guy in there can't be removed.

He knows! He's conscious! He doesn't want to admit it! He wants to hold it!

Nael doesn't want to hear Kena say goodbye. When that happens, he won't be able to accept it. Therefore it is better for him to break the relationship first. That way he won't feel dumped.

“ARRGGGGGHHH!!!”

The Grandfather, Stevial Lesseter who was looking from the side could only remain silent. Any words he wanted to say right now would not be heard by Nael. He could only wait until the grandson calmed down. Stevial shook his head in regret for his granddaughter's fate, then turned his head toward a man in his mid-40s who was also in the room.

Doctor Hubert. Carefully watching the stupid scenes of two people clearly loving each other, yet still lying to each other. Love time High School. The love of monkeys that must have been experienced by everyone who is now getting older, such as himself, or the old grandfather who hires it.

Hubert, the man came out of the room with Grandpa Steval. Letting the young man who was crying in there alone.

They made sure the room was empty. Make sure the young man does not bring dangerous objects with him, including removing the phone that was slammed into the wall. It has been ensured that the surveillance camera installed in the room clearly records every movement that occurs.

“He will improve in a few days,” says doctor Hubert calms Grandpa Stevial.

“I hope so,” reply Grandpa Stevial resigned.

Doctor Hubert stared at the monitor screen displaying Nael's figure, “Don't be too anxious. He held himself up pretty well. I'll keep watch here, so you can go rest.”

“Hahh, I feel guilty to those two kids.” Once again Grandpa Steval shook his head in regret for the fate of the grandson.

Doctor Hubert smiled lightly, “Young people always make stupid and careless decisions. We have also experienced that time is not,” he said casually. “At the end of the day when they grow up, they will realize that all these things are nothing. This is just one of the processes of becoming an adult.”

Doctor Hubert's view turns to Grandpa Stevial, “I think it's good too, so your granddaughter will focus more on her treatment. All this time he was always looking for excuses by being kind to be allowed to meet the girl. Now we can start what we delayed earlier.”

“You're right. Do whatever is best for my grandson, doctor.” Pinta's Grandpa Steval who was reciprocated with a light nod of doctor Hubert.

They looked back at the monitor.

In that empty room. Nael curled up in tears as he muttered the name of the person he had just decided on. Slowly muttering became a scream, then a scream. Until the stifling silence made him fall asleep. Even in his dreams he still hoped, this farewell he made never happened. This regret never existed. This pain becomes vapor. And when he opened his eyes again, things went back to how they were. The girl was beside him, greeting him, hugging him, peeping warmly at his cheeks.

But it was just empty wishful thinking.

“Anetes Kena Altair.”

The whisper in the sleep quickly ended. Without a hint Nael will remember when he wakes up later. What happened this time, would only be a nightmare that would be forgotten the moment he opened his eyes.

“Good night my lope. I do always love you more.”
