Being able to look at the row of drugs on the table, then turned anxiously to the owner of the drug. He saved back the file of the treatment report that just finished in read it back to the drawer. He sighed at the figure of the guy sleeping by his side. After giving a brief peck, Kena walked into the kitchen and made a cup of tea for herself.

The tea was slow. His gaze was fixed on the window, but his mind moved far into the past few years. On the fateful incident that happened to her, Nael, and her missing birth mother. On the tough days when he had to keep Nael in the hospital. And the years after his funeral, and his promise to the boy.

If that bad event never existed, would we be able to have a better ending now?

“Ma, I miss mama.” Guman Kena remembers his birth mother.

Kena and Nael were 5 years old. After attending the party of one of their parents' acquaintances, Kena's biological mother brought the two children home early. No one thought they were going to have an accident.

Although Kena was able to get out of the hospital early, and recover faster, there was still one thing missing from her. I can't cry. Even at his mother's funeral, he shed no tears. It was as if he did not know what sadness was.

Unlike Kena, after three full months in the hospital, Nael just woke up. But he became hysterical because of the trauma of the accident. He could not speak clearly and just screamed, lost his appetite, went on a rampage, and cried suddenly. Often Nael suddenly wakes up in shock and immediately breaks out in a cold sweat.

Or smelling something in his sleep during a nightmare.

Both of Nael's parents are gone, lived his grandfather who took care of him all this time. The grandfather could only exert his abilities by hiring the best doctors to treat Nael. It took Nael a long time to get well and be allowed to go to school.

Kena and Nael have been betrothed since birth. They have also grown up together over the years. Seeing the condition of Nael who did not improve his grandfather had filed for the cancellation of the match. He was suspicious of the man's mental condition. He once asked his father, but the only answer he received was that Nael was fine. Or just looking for attention. Now he found the answer he was looking for. What's he supposed to do?

A normal girl would definitely feel disgusted or scared after knowing that. But Kena is different, she is increasingly intense to find out about the illness suffered by Nael. What are the characteristics, and how to deal with the sufferer. He even proposed an official engagement to Nael's grandfather so they wouldn't be separated. Nael's grandfather fulfills the request after a discussion with Kena's father and several doctors who deal with Nael's problems.

Doctors said the engagement could help stabilize Nael's psychiatric condition. Because Nael really likes Kena and is always in good shape with her. The official engagement was simple. Only Grandpa Nael, Kena's father, the doctors who treated Nael, and the servants of Nael's residence attended. Few people knew about the engagement, not even Kena's mother and half-brother knew. Nael's whereabouts and their engagement seem to be deliberately hidden.

Do they think it would be a family disgrace if an outsider found out about Nael's condition?

After the show Nael's condition gradually improved. But he still had to do medical check-ups and therapy once a month. Soon as Nael is allowed into school, he takes accelerated classes faster than Kena. Nael has been a famous genius since childhood, only his mentality is in trouble.

“Then why now the medicine is increasing?” guman Kena again.

Kena played the engagement ring she made into a necklace pendant. He sighed for the umpteenth time of the day. His mind suspected that the report had been falsified. Nael could have done that. He had to make sure he went to the doctor who treated the boy once again.

“I have to contact doctor Erik,”.

His throat ran out of tea, then walked back to the bed and lay down next to Nael. I fell asleep with so many thoughts that night. But the sound of Nael's breathing made her feel calm.

“Goodnight dear,” he said Kena before falling asleep.
