When Rita and I were outside the UKS, suddenly the upperclassman chased and called us.
"Wait.!", with a little run from the inside he made our steps stop and turned towards him.
I looked at each other with Rita showing our confusion.
"Bring this up, use it to treat your wounds until they heal. There is also a drug that can speed up the wound to dry, do not forget to drink", he thrust a bag of clear white plastic containing cotton, alcohol, gauze, betadin, drugs, and drugs, and also a roll of plaster towards me.
At first glance I turned to Rita, and she just nodded. I doubtfully grabbed the plastic bag.
"Thank you, brother!", though I awkwardly accepted the medicine and smiled shyly.
"Alright, don't forget to take the medicine! May it heal quickly and next time be careful", I see him smiling again. His distinctive smile that can make others can remember it even if only once seen.
"Thank you again, brother. Then, if you'll excuse me for going to class", I smiled again and then took Rita back to class.
After the UKS earlier, my uniform arm did not drop again because Rita gave betadin quite a lot and was worried about seeping in my uniform. Before class, Rita invited me to buy bread and other snacks as her hunger booster.
Rita who used to go to the cafeteria during the break so gave up her meal to treat me. I feel worse for him. Now the canteen is not too crowded because most students have eaten and will soon enter.
Rita asked me to wait in the nearest seat so that there was no need to walk any further given my legs were still a bit limp. Rita immediately headed to the snack and bread section and picked up some then switched to the refrigerator and picked up 2 boxes of milk. Once he felt enough, he paid for it and went back to me and took it back to class.
...♡♡♡...
Arriving at class, I noticed that almost all of my classmates had been inside. Only a few are still on the terrace or may still be in the cafeteria as well. They are busy with their respective activities such as chatting, reading books and some are eating snacks like Rita is doing at this time.
He handed me a packet of bread and milk which he had bought. I refused, but Rita really didn't want to hear anything from me today. I can't be upset because it's a form of concern for me, and I'm grateful to have a friend like her.
I began to devour my bread and occasionally drank the milk given by Rita. While chewing bread with a little daydreaming, without me noticing one of my friends named Naufal came up to me.
"When.", Naufal broke my daydream.
"Yes? What's the matter, Fal?", I looked up because Naufal was standing in front of me.
"So I accidentally squirmed your bandaged arm, may I know why?", he unceremoniously asked in front of all my classmates, and made some turn their eyes to me.
"really? Why are you Tika?", Arin who was sitting in front of me turned her head because of Naufal's words.
"Oh this, the day after yesterday I wasn't careful, so it wasn't intentionally as close as people" I turned my head towards my wound then looked at Naufal and Arin alternately.
"What's? Sticking?", Arin was shocked to hear my words.
"So you didn't come in yesterday because of that?", Naufal said.
I just nodded.
"But why did you enter today? you can wait until your wounds heal first, Tik", Arin suggested.
"I'm tired of having to stay at home" with an awkward smile I looked at Arin.
"Geez Tika, I see you are still a bit limping. You should just rest at home, do not go to school first", Naufal reminded
"Guys, you guys forgot!? If Tika is the top 5 in the class, so do not be surprised how diligent he is with the school business. Different from me and you", Rita started to pry my friends to tease me.
"Oh yes, yes, really you too, Rit", Naufal mangosteen is consumed by Rita's temptation
"But Rit, if sick, is sick. No need to be arrested and forced gini, Tika kasian too", Jordan the class leader participated in our chat.
And suddenly Mr. Herman as a biology teacher who was the next lesson came in and broke up our conversation.
I am so grateful to be free from the slurs of my friends' questions. If I want to say honestly, I really don't like being the center of attention of others.
I prefer to be retarded or even invisible to others so that I do not have to stumble over trouble. That's what my brain is all about right now, who just wants to go to school and study quietly until graduation.

Now I was in front of the class, waiting for the other students to come home through the gate so that I did not cram because my legs had not completely healed to push each other with other students. I started to stand up as the students started to dwindle. I stepped slowly towards the gate fearing that my father had been waiting for me in front of the gate.
The motorbike and car of the parents of the students came milling around to pick up his son. I was just sitting on a small wall that held each other together by rows of iron school fences while waiting for my father to come.
I leaned my somewhat tired back on the school fence by looking up while my eyes closed. I enjoy the cold wind that blows slowly on my face.
"Hi! We meet again", the sound of someone greeting next to me, made me normalize my position.
I looked over, and I saw the upperclassman I met this morning in the UKS. She smiled revealing her dimples and curvatures of her lips that formed a crescent moon as she smiled widely like this. A very special smile, I thought.
"May I sit down!?", he sillyly asked while he had been sitting since. I just smiled and nodded then turned my gaze forward so as not to be awkward.
"What are you doing here and I**why aren't you home yet?", she asked as if we were very close, when I had just met this morning and I was embarrassed to be caught staring at her earlier.
"I was waiting for my father to pick me up, brother", I replied with my head slightly lowered. "What are you doing yourself?", I continued.
"I was also waiting for an invitation, it seemed a little late", he stared at his watch then gazed towards the front.
"Oh yeah, we didn't get to know him. Ryan, Ryan Prasetya", I can catch it from the tail of my eye he leaned towards me while reaching out his hand.
"Ti-Tika, Anne Grace", I greeted her hand with doubt.
"What a good name. So, when will your father come?", stick with his distinctive smile.
"I don't know, brother", I turned my head.
With a head I answered his question.
"Why? Here, use my phone to call him", Ryan thrust his apple logo toward me and I saw his eyebrows start to wrinkle indicating he was thinking about what reason I might tell him.
"Both me and father, neither have a hape", my head bowed in shame as I said it.
"Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to..",
"It's okay, brother. Ryan's sister just found out", cut me to stop her guilty remarks.
"All right, then I'll just take you home, soon my invitation arrives. Where's your address?", he put his hape back in his pocket.
"No need, brother. I don't want to make you worry about not finding me here because you're suddenly coming home" Brother Ryan just understood.
"Well, then I'll wait until your father comes, here with you", he's completely off the hook without thinking much.
"Don't, brother should go home. It must be that big sister's mother is waiting for big brother at home", I rejected his decision because I didn't want to feel awkward together with him.
"Not really, my mom is working. Usually he just asked my driver", he shrugged his shoulders.
I did not understand what he was thinking when he said that he would accompany me until my father came.
"Sister must have been waited for by another brother or sister's family", I again said the thing that was on my mind just like that.
"Hmm, it's possible that just grandma will be waiting for me to visit her at the funeral" she glanced forward for a moment then looked back at me and of course remained with her trademark smile that I think is now mocking me.
"W-what? Why did Brother Ryan say that?", I was more astonished at him because he straightforwardly said so.
"Let's know, I just felt like only my grandmother could understand me and love me so much" her look began to turn sad.
"Where are parents and siblings? Do you have no friends at home?", I hesitantly asked.
"Since I was a kid, they've been busy. And I only live at home with my sister, but now my sister is also working. So I don't really like being at home" she kept smiling, but I could see there was bitterness in her eyes.
"Ah, sorry if my question offends big brother", I feel uneasy because it reminds him of the thing that made him lonely.
"Father, now that I have you as my friend", his smile came back cheerful and I also smiled to hear it.
"Around the house, you have no friends?", I asked again because I was still in doubt about the declaration of the friend he said to me.
"No, my only friend is Catty, my pet cat", looking forward as if imagining what she's doing with her cat.
"Sister likes cats?", she turned her head towards me. I really felt like I was doing an interview by throwing a question and Brother Ryan just needed to answer it.
"Yes, do you like cats?", she looked at me intensely.
"Yes, I like cats too. It's just that I can't spend my time playing at home", I'm embarrassed to be honest about my family's circumstances.
"Why? Isn't your time going to be free after school", Brother Ryan looked at me in surprise.
"After school I'm going to do a lot of things, so I rarely play" I thought there was no need to tell my family's life to Ryan's sister.
"Come on, you're 14. Why do you say as if you are an adult and do your homework like a mother!?", with her ignorant smile she said so.
"I had to do homework like that, because my mother was gone" I looked down sad to remember.
"Geez, sorry. I just wanted to tease you earlier", Brother Ryan was worried that I would be offended and sad.
"It's okay, I'm willing to let go of mom. Mother is no longer sick now", a smile of bitterness I showed.
"Sorry, if you may know, what is your mother sick?", brother Ryan sounds more careful now.
"Mom has a history of heart disease, and I hope now that I'm happy and no longer in pain" I nodded my head to look up at the sky as if I was going to see me from up there.
Not long after, father arrived with a helmet still attached to his head. I can guess that dad just finished dropping off his passengers and rushed here to pick me up.
"You've been waiting a long time, nduk!?", I slowly got up.
"No, dad. Let's go home!", I smiled to dispel father's worries.
"Sister, Tika came home first, huh!?", I said goodbye while looking at her who was already standing before me.
"Yes, I'm going home too. Careful, huh!? The medicine I love don't forget to drink" Ryan reminded.
"Yes, brother. Thank you"
"Yes, you go home. Your father is waiting for you, you must heal so that we can meet again. Dahhh!", he said as he left me for the parked car to pick him up.
I looked up to hear his words. Meet up? any more?
