What came out of Daniel's mouth left Celline stunned. About the hope that had suddenly disappeared, or the disappointment that had burst into his heart. What he was holding seemed to just vanish.
Angry, disappointed, even regrets began to ring in his brain. Why is everything like this?
He thought everything was very clear. Daniel likes him and he likes Daniel. Although he never said it, but he knew if they understood each other. Then why did it all end like this?
Clear details that have been held-resistant finally can no longer be dammed. He closed his mouth so as not to cry. His blurry gaze by tears could only look at Daniel in despair.
"Sorry." Daniel held Celline in his arms. Seeing a loved one cry makes him feel sick.
"Sorry, I promise it won't be long, Cell. You should know I did something there must be a reason."
"Keep why?" The celline revolted from Daniel's embrace, but the man did not want to let go even further tightened his embrace.
"Why don't you talk? Why are you suddenly saying you're the same as Nancy? You can't believe I exist, right?!" He hit Daniel's chest many times, hoping that the man would understand his feelings.
Daniel is not angry and lets Celline hit him to release his anger. He knew at this moment he was the one at fault, Celline who was the victim of his choice.
"I think you know how I feel. I gave you a chance to 'we' can be together. Why are you even like this?"
Celline looked at Daniel with sadness. "I don't know why you could be Nancy. Yesterday you said that if you like me, then why are you the same?"
Daniel low. The great guilt made him not dare to stare right at Celline. He's tied up with Nancy not without reason. Of course it was because of Nancy's coercion.
He still remembers how Nancy threatened him. This afternoon when she accompanies Nancy shopping, Nancy says things that make her feel desperate.
"And you don't want Celline to drop out of college?" ask Nancy.
"If you want to be like me, right?"
This time Daniel was really surprised. She didn't expect Nancy to behave like that. Saying things so easily, did the girl think her heart could be forced?
"I don't like you, Nan. Do you want to be the same person who doesn't love you?" Daniel asked carefully.
Nancy chuckled, her hand holding Daniel spoiled. "Why indeed? Love exists because it is accustomed. I'm sure that we've met a lot you've always liked me."
He's so confident. Yeah, why would he think that? Of course it was because he knew his parents were like that as well. At first they did not like each other, but in the end they still married and continue to do well until now.
If her parents are capable, shouldn't she be able to be like that too?
"You know Nan, I love Celline." Daniel is still trying to get Nancy to undo his wishes. But he was wrong because what sounded next only made him more frustrated.
"Well, I know. I even know that Celline likes you, but I don't care. I like you and you should be mine." The last sentence is said with great emphasis. He wanted Daniel to know that he wasn't kidding at all.
Daniel could only exhale violently. He couldn't possibly let Celline's ideals break in the middle of the road. Maybe he should be willing to sacrifice himself as well as Celline.
Finally he could only nod in resignation. "I'm sure I don't have a choice, do I?"
Hearing that answer Nancy immediately hugged Daniel with pleasure. He was not ashamed at all even though there were currently many people paying attention to them.
Daniel smiled wryly as he recalled the incident a few hours ago. Yes, he did this for the sake of the Celline, so enough he himself knew. Let him force himself to be with Nancy.
