The continent of Antarctica is full of dangers, and we cannot relax. Every two hours, Leia and I check the powerplant and submarine equipment.
Everything was calm, all the equipment indicators were normal, and the restless Gobert did not make any small movements.
Four days passed quietly, and there was one day left before the agreed meeting time.
Lake Untersee is a glacial lake of Antarctica, frozen beneath a thick layer of ice. If the explorers of the Empire had not accidentally fallen into an ice rift, the discovery of Lake Untersee might have been delayed for decades.

Everything was ready, I instructed the kitchen to prepare hot meals.
The expedition team on the road was sleeping and resting, and they must have been very fond of food.
Five hours later, the expedition arrived.
According to the mission briefing, there were a total of 106 people on the road expedition, 98 of whom were logistic troops made up of soldiers, and the remaining eight were scientists.
Leia and I put on our winter clothes and walked down the stairs to the ice to meet them.

Philip entered the submarine with twenty of his men and six scientists who survived.
The six scientists looked extremely embarrassed. They were recruited temporarily and had no experience in Antarctic expeditions. The death of their comrades greatly stimulated their life force.
In that small meal, Philip and some scientists devoured it.
When his stomach was half full, Philip asked while eating, “How long can you last?”
“It is fine for more than 20 people to last for another month.”
I was just about to say for half a month when a student cook not far interrupted.
Leia glared at him sharply, she was really a burden teammate, was she unable to guess what Philip would ask for?
“Two thirds for us, our food is only enough for three days.” Philip demanded with a commanding tone.

If we lose two-thirds of the stock, we can last another ten days at most. In places like Antarctica, if there is no stock supply, we are looking for death.
