Ariana is a doctor, a healer to many. It would be unfair if he couldn't help Evander heal. The vampire who lived in his cottage complained of pain.

Doctor Steven is a friendly thirty-year-old man, looking a little older than Evander due to wearing thick glasses. But his friendliness and enthusiasm for Evander's stories made them quickly familiar. The conversation lasted longer and longer than dr. Steven guessed.

Evander feels safe befriending Ariana's co-worker who stares at her and treats her like a normal human being. In fact, the two of them are now busy in front of Ariana's computer because Evander needs guidance.
