The circular clock on Afifa's wrist continued to rotate through each number that he had to pass, whether how many times Afifa had glanced at him, until now, until now, the clock is pointing at exactly 10.
Afifa filled her time with homework assisted Nadia and her Mother-in-law, although occasionally she stopped her work just to take a deep breath to regulate the already erratic heartbeat. Sometimes Afifa saw Talita who was busy playing with his father-in-law on the edge of his favorite fish pond. Until finally the sound of the roar of the car stopped right in front of the gate of his house as he stepped out of the door of the house, carrying a bag of crackle filled with garbage to be stored in a shelter in front of the house.
Afifa stopped her steps as her gaze fell on the red car, and came back half-running when the horn of Wulan's car rang out hinting at her greeting. He pushed the gate wide and let Wulan's car into his yard, then kept the plastic bag he had been holding in the trash.
Wulan's car drove up, Wulan's windshield window opened, a smile emerged from the beautiful woman's lips towards her, Afifa nodded her head to welcome her.
The car stopped, came out a beautiful woman dressed in a graceful hijab from the front door, she closed the car door and turned towards Afifa with a sweet smile. "Sorry to wait a long time" he said.
"It's okay, Ma'am! please do! Mama was waiting", Afifa replied with a relaxed expression as possible, trying to cover up the turmoil of her heart.
"Thank you Afifa", smile back.
The two walked towards the door of the house, Afifa invited Wulan to sit in the living room. "Please! sit down, Mother! I will call Mama". pinta Afifa and answered with a nod of Wulan.
Soon Afifa returned with her Mother and Father-in-law, bringing drinks and snacks to honor her guests.
Wulan greeted the two, then sat back down, she did not say much, just a smile that she tried to show, even though her face could not hide her nervousness.
"Fifa telphon Kak Aji first, Ma!", said Afifa, then returned to the room to pick up the phone after being adopted by her mother-in-law.
It didn't take long after telling Fauzi, Afifa returned to the living room to join them.
"So..are you Fauzi's High School friend?", asked Papa to start a conversation between them that felt very stiff.
"Yes, Uncle", replied Wulan briefly.
"I..maya and Fa.", Wulan's speech was cut off because of the hysterical screams of one of the residents in front of Afifa's house.
"Yyyyyy...!Tuluuoung's...!kumaha ieu...? Neng...! Neng Fifa's...! enggal kadie.!", cried a woman neighboring Afifa calling Afifa's name.
Afifa gasped to hear her name being called amidst the screams of the voice of the Woman.
"Mrs...! Neng Fifa's...! Duh gusti..kumaha Ieu Jang Fauzi..????", his voice was again heard, even coupled with a shout from another voice that sounded to break one quarrel.
"Atos Sir...! off sir...!, aya naon ieuteh???".
Afifa was aghast when she heard her husband's name being mentioned, she immediately jumped from her seat and ran as hard as she could towards the source of the sound. Likewise with Wulan and her two in-laws also ran following the steps of Afifa. People were already swarming in front of the gate of the house of Afifa, a middle-aged woman whose voice was heard screaming earlier was propping up Fauzi's blood-soaked head helplessly, three male neighbors of Afifa hold the body of a man who continues to wriggle blindly with hunting breath as if losing his mind.
Afifa's eyes widened at the sight of her husband's condition drooping weak helpless, drops of fresh blood flowing from the temples and the tips of her husband's lips, her legs trembling as if unable to support her weight, and her legs were unable to support her, half-dragged Afifa walked over to Fauzin's body and collapsed in front of Fauzi's head, with Afifa's trembling hands grabbing Fauzi's head from her lap and moving her own lap. "Sister.", he called slowly while wiping the fresh blood that flowed almost inside Fauzi's eyes with his veil dangling.
Fauzi opened his eyes slowly, his eyes glued to the face of his wife who was right in front of him while crying tears because of concern for him. Once there was a smile from Fauzi's lips, his hands lifted and tried to feel the face of Afifa who had now started to blur from his view.his lips opened as if trying to say words, as if trying to say words, but not a word broke out of Fauzi's mouth. Her head was heavy, her vision blurred, and turned black, dark, and her consciousness disappeared as Afifa's booming cry called out Fauzi's name while hugging her already helpless husband's body.
