Claire was silent for a moment. He did not think long to say his sentence. And he had no intention of really blaming the mafia. It seems like Minota was right, they had their own reasons for doing so.
Minota walked over to him. After being close to Claire, Minota holds Claire's chin. He told Claire to look him in the eye.
"Are you sure you're rejecting my offer?"
"certain"
"This is your chance to get an answer to your question. But you refused it. Can't you see an opportunity?"
"..." again Minota said as if silencing Claire.
"It was interesting but I refused it"
"Currently you are stubborn. Think again about your answer, and come back when you're absolutely sure"
Minota turned around. I don't know where he went. He went into the hallway in the building. It doesn't look clear because it's dark.
Claire came out of the building. He doesn't think if he knows he'll turn down Minota's offer then why did he come all the way here? even he had to trick some people first.
Claire felt so stupid. At first he was just curious. Only for the sake of curiosity did he have to sacrifice by tricking his superiors and partners. The person he trusted the most.
The hallway between the houses looks dark. There was a lamp there but it went out. Around Claire it went dark. Claire opened her umbrella, the drizzle had not yet subsided.
He started walking down the dark street. As she gets near the highway, Claire realizes that not only the lights are out but everything. Even the minimarket that was previously bright now the lights are also out.
Electricity quelled.
Now there is only lighting from vehicle lights that pass on the highway. From a distance Claire was like a terrifying figure. He wore dark-colored clothes carrying an umbrella in the dark.
You may be able to imagine it like a mysterious figure walking in the dark of the night without lighting and under the rain.
There were quick footsteps running towards Claire. Claire could not see her figure clearly. Then the figure stopped in front of him.
"You lied!" said it. Claire recognized the voice.
Somehow Claire felt like she was surrounded by disappointment and heartache. Just this time he lied then was caught off guard in just some time.
It felt like he had turned into a liar. Admitting it hurts. He was always telling the truth and what it was all this time.
"Sorry" Claire did not dare to look him in the eye. He kept his head down. His view became gloomy.
"Where have you been, huh?" Claude held onto Claire's shoulders and then shook her.
Claire just kept quiet and did not answer. There was no way she would tell Claude about her brother.
"My answer is Claire!" Claude once again snapped at Claire.
The heart of the woman is fragile. No matter how hard Claire looks, her heart is still fragile. It felt like he was holding back tears to not drip.
"Claire... Why are you quiet? Where have you been Claire? answer me!"
"I. i..."
Claude waited for Claire's reply enthusiastically. Claire kept looking down. Not showing his eyes.
"Why did you go so far? why didn't you tell me?"
"I'm..."
"Why would you lie to say go to the minimarket when you actually don't? why Claire? what the hell's been going on?" Claude hit Claire with a lot of questions.
"Because I'm a liar" that's all Claire can say.
Claude shook his head in disbelief, "No Claire, you're not a liar. What the hell's going on? say"
"none. I'm a liar"
"Claire..."
Drizzle down more. Claire's back was wet with rainwater. He didn't know what to say to Claude. He lied and that's a fact.
Claude held the handle of the umbrella held by Claire. Claire was surprised for a moment. He raised his head. At the end of her eyes was a tear she could bear not to drip.
"All this you do for a reason. I know it. You can't hide it from me"
"Claude..."
"I believe in you. You're not a liar. You're just cornered. It's okay if you don't want to say it now"
Claire wiped away a tear at the end of her eye. Claude knew he was being cornered and he didn't force Claire to reveal the reason now.
Claude's words made him stupefied. Even after he lied to her, she still believed in him. He should be disappointed, right? but the truth is not.
"Let's go back. The entire city's electricity was shut down. The bar has no backup lighting. So let's go back" Claire nodded. The two of them walked side by side under umbrellas that protected them from the torrent of rain.

Temporary Prison.
A group of people dressed in black wearing face masks infiltrated the prison while the prisoners were transferred from the underground prison.
"Quick plug here" whispered one of them. The person he was told to immediately pull out a time bomb from the backpack he was wearing.
"Done"
"Let's get out of here"
Sparks splashed from power lines in the shadow prison. The sparks were hit by water droplets. It turned into a bright burning fire.
One of the group sprayed gas on the embers so as not to cause a fire.
"good. Quickly we leave before they realize our whereabouts" another reminded. They walked by sneaking out of the temporary prison.
At the passageway intersection, the intruders wearing face masks accidentally ran into one of the senior agents.
The two senior agents are assigned to check whether the state of the temporary prison is safe or not because the level of security here is not as high as in the underground prison.
The intruders hid behind the walls of the prison block.
One of the men hinted to be silent by putting his index finger in front of his mask-covered lips. The senior agent realized there was a suspicious move, but then his friend invited him back after making sure there was nothing here.
The intruder met the fellow he was trying to save.
"Shut" whistles a man in black from behind bars.
"Who?" the intruders looked panicked, they were not ready to be known so soon.
"It's me, did you come to save us?"
"Leader?" the man in black was in one prison plot with his other partner. One of them was a brownish-red disembodied woman who decomposed long on her back.
"It's me"
"Lord be calm, we will definitely free you from here but not now. I've been putting a time bomb around here before. The moment the bomb exploded it immediately escaped from this place"
"I understand. You guys hear that too?"
"Yes"
"We want to release Mister immediately, but this is the best way"
"No problem. I'm used to crouching here. Go awayl. Usually at times like this there will be agents on patrol" the man wearing the face mask just nodded then immediately left with the other intruders.
The man called 'Master' grinned evilly. He was like someone given a new chance. Soon he will be free. How thought.
