76. The Dean and Siren Rituals

Pakuo seemed to be enjoying the boiled tubers that Dean godok had left behind. Dean looked nervous as he approached the man.

"You soon gather some of the flowers in this forest, because I want to make a ritual for you both."

"Good Uncle." Answer Dean.

Pakuo glanced at Siren who looks just silent while enjoying the boiled tubers. The man can see a big change towards his daughter since Dean's presence.

After spending the tubers together, Dean and Siren enter the forest in search of the appropriate flower that Pakuo requested.

"It looks like your father knows what we've done" Dean said.

"Maybe."

"But it's okay. Soon we'll have the ritual, and we'll build a house for ourselves."

"Building the house again?"

"Yes. Once ditual, we can't be on a roof with your father or with Aru. We're not free to do anything."

The silent siren digested Dean's speech. Decades of living with his father left him perplexed to hear the words of Dean who wanted to build their own home.

"Wouldn't that make Baba angry."

"No. He'll understand, for sure,"

"All right."

"Later after the ritual I'll talk to Baba, soon,"

"Yes." Yeah."

"It looks like the flowers are enough" Dean said.

"Yes. It's a lot of it, "typical Siren.

Once enough is felt, Siren and Dean return home and submit their search results to Pakuo. Pakuo immediately invites Dean and Siren to go to the back where they used to clean themselves. Regardless of what Pakuo said, the man seemed committed to chanting something Siren and Dean did not understand.

After chanting a certain do'a-do'a, Pakuo then took a sack of water made from the maja fruit and poured the water containing the flower into Dean's body first. After that it was Siren's turn who got the same treatment. After the ritual is over, Pakuo invites Dean and Siren to have a conversation together.

"Now that you're husband and wife, Dean I hope that you didn't make the same mistake that would put my daughter in danger."

"I want you to live and die in this forest with your children and grandchildren."

"I understand Ba." Answer Dean.

"Do you want to build your own house?"

"Yes. I wanted to talk to Baba about that. Does Baba mind if we build our own house."

"No. That's better,"

"alright. We will build it from today. Can we build a house around the west river?"

"Can."

"Why should it be there?" ask Siren.

"I love that place, especially I don't want to leave Aru alone."

"How about Baba? baba's gonna be alone, right?"

"Prophe doesn't matter. You want to build there or here for baba just the same."

Pakuo looked at the look of sadness on his daughter's face. The sternness that he had seen for the first time since the girl had grown up.

"You will often visit baba, baba will also often go to your house. We're in the same woods anyway, so we'll meet up a lot."

Pakuo tried to comfort his daughter so as not to put on a gloomy face again.

"Alright, we go first Ba. We're gonna start building our own house."

"Yes." Yeah."

"You sad?"

"Sad?"

"Because you're going to split the house with Baba."

Siren was silent, because he himself did not know why he felt suddenly unhappy when Dean said he would make their own home after the ritual. Even Siren grew unhappy when he found out Dean would build a house away from his father's house.

"It is better after doing the ritual we are separated the house,"

"Why?"

"You don't want to when I touch you, Baba see what we're gonna do?"

Sirens speechless. His face suddenly red. At first glance he imagined the hot moments between himself and Dean. And of course he didn't want someone else to see what they were doing.

"I understand."

Dean smiled as he looked at the Siren's face which started to shine again. When they found suitable wood to make their home, Dean and Siren began to cut it down and transport it to their destination.

Aru who saw the arrival of Siren and Dean, again put on a sour face and pretended not to see.

"Aru," said Dean.

"What's wrong?" aru asked without looking at Dean.

"We did the ritual. Siren is now my wife."

Aru stopped for a moment the movement of his hand that was turning back the fish on the embers of fire.

"Good."

"Help me to build our house. We decided to build a house next to you,"

"Yes." Yeah." Answer Aru briefly.

Almost all day Siren, Aru and Dean built a house, and in the afternoon the house was completed.

"Are you going to wait for this house?" ask Aru.

"Yes. It's almost night, Siren can't go home. After all we've become husband and wife, we should have stayed together."

Aru no longer answered Dean's words, the man immediately entered the house to rest.

"She still hates me, though,"

"No problem. I also don't allow you to get too close to him."

"Why? isn't he your friend? which means my friend too."

"I just don't like that there's another guy you're watching, or another guy watching you. You are only mine."

Siren, who still did not understand about the special relationship, was confused to hear Dean's words.

"Let's go in, let our bodies rest. I'm really tired today."

"Emm." Siren nodded.

Siren and Dean slept together to unwind for a moment. But when midnight arrived, Aru absolutely could not sleep made by Siren and Dean. The newlyweds actually resonated***h, so their voices were able to break the silence of the forest. I don't know how long the sound had just subsided, but when Aru's eyes began to be closed again, the melodious voices were heard again to make Aru very upset half to death.

The sun began to peek at the leaves that Dean had arranged as the roof of his house. The morning sun began to enter the house so that Dean's eyes winked because he felt glare because of the light.

Dean turned to the side and found Siren still asleep. The wave-haired girl looked soundly after being exhausted.

Not much different from Siren, Aru is also still asleep.the man who used to wake up that morning suddenly did not wake up even though the sun had started dancing to greet the leaves. Once the voices that made him annoyed subsided, then Aru could fall asleep peacefully. The man was not even aware as Dean climbed into his house and still saw his sleeping self.

Dean leaves Siren and Aru to hunt alone. Dean didn't want to wake his wife and friend. With the archery ability he had, Dean managed to get the hunt in the form of a fat boar. Dean took him home and immediately burned him over the coals.
