The capter 27

Nigel and Diana were now in the middle of the wilderness. The forest area is overgrown by trees of various sizes and thick bush grasses. The air in the forest is very fresh. The aroma of the leaves and the warm sun is very comfortable when filling the lungs. The foot continues to step with the east as the direction of the goal.

Not accidentally, Nigel saw a squirrel on a branch of a walnut tree. He tried to get the nuts from the tree. Suddenly, from behind the tree leaves, a python darted and was about to pounce on the squirrel. But unfortunately, the squirrel accidentally dropped himself so that the snake could not eat him. But the squirrel didn't really fall. He stretched out his hands and feet so that a kind of hairy membrane connected his hands and feet, so that he could float between the branches of the tree. The squirrel looked very proud of the walnut he got. And Nigel was stunned to see it.

Several fir trees were seen on their way. The trees grew quite tall matching the tall trees around it. Some birds sometimes come out of the trunks of fir trees and fly through the sky.

The further they walked, the more evergreen trees were visible. Other types of trees are decreasing. As it deepened, the forest was filled with millions of evergreen trees. No other kind of tree, just spruce. For Nigel and Diana, this was a rare sight because they had never seen a large array of evergreen trees.

The air here is blowing very humid. But it is precisely in Nigel and Diana as a positive energy because it will make a sense of comfort. Even as they walked, they did not realize that the sun had already passed half the horizon.

"Hey Nigel, look!" diana exclaimed, she pointed at something under one of the spruce trees. There the body of a group of fungi with a size large enough. Diana and Nigel immediately approached the mushroom.

Nigel's science gift told him something. "This spruce mushroom is a truffle type mushroom. This mushroom can be eaten."

"Wait?" regardless of anything, Diana picked up the mushroom.

Unsatisfied with the mushrooms, Diana's eyes swept across the base of the spruce tree in search of another mushroom. "There's more!" girang.

"I got this much," said Diana cheerfully. "Can you do something with this?"

"We don't have much spice. There is only salt" replied Nigel. Diana's face was somewhat disappointed and it triggered something else to appear in Nigel. "We can make a simple snack by roasting it."

Diana's face returned. "I'll start a fire."

Nigel helped, he gathered the dry wood and heaped it in one small pile. In addition, he slashed some tree branches to make some kind of sharp-tipped stick and he stuck the mushrooms into the stick.

After the fire, Nigel stuck the stick near the fire. And now, they're just waiting.

"I'm already impatient," Diana grumbled as she rubbed her hands near the campfire.

"Patience a little more. If the maturity is less, it will be very dangerous for this mushroom to eat," said the young man. He sprinkled a little salt on the mushrooms that were being roasted.
