Capter 22

The black horse darted swiftly among the rare forest trees. The darkness of the night did not make Nigel to stop his steps. The pain in his back and right wrist he held as much as possible so as not to interfere with concentration while driving. But, the further the horse's steps darted, Nigel's level of consciousness dwindled.

"Nigels! You've lost a lot of blood!" diana cried, but Nigel did not reply. "Nigels! You hear me!?"

Nigel relaxed, his body falling to the side. Diana swiftly restrained the young man's body and took over the bridle. Diana stretched out the horse's steps and they stopped at the bottom of a steep cliff.

Diana got off the horse, then took Nigel down afterwards. The woman laid Nigel's body next to the cliff. Darkened. Diana could not see anything. He remembered that in Nigel's bag there was a box of matches. Quickly he picked up some wood chips and piled them up. After that he scooped up a lot of dry leaves and hoarded the pile of firewood earlier. Soon he took a match in Nigel's bag and burned the dried leaves. The fire was formed in a short time.

Diana took off the Nigel doublet and opened her long-sleeved white shirt. A wound tears transversely from the left side of the lower perit to the right upper back, and blood still seeps from the wound. Not only that, in Nigel's right hand there is also a sword but not too deep. Bahkah it seems, the wound on that part has already dried up.

The main problem is in the back. Diana looked anxious as blood was still flowing. He immediately unpacked the contents of Nigel's bag. Free, no cure. There was only gauze, alcohol and medicinal ointments. Diana had to figure out a way to seal the wound. His head turned around looking around him, hoping to find something. But this is stupid thinking, there is only night darkness there.

His stolen horse snored, it seemed like he was exhausted and wanted to go to sleep immediately. But, Diana's eyes found something on the horse's body. There's a bag on the horse saddle. Diana immediately unpacked the contents of the bag.

He tore the clean shirt into a long cloth. After that, he left Nigel for a moment and returned with a pile of dried twigs. Diana put the firewood into the campfire so that the fire was even wider. Not stopping there, Diana burned the knife earlier on the blaze that began to grow. Long enough for the knife to heat up. So while waiting, Diana looked for more firewood.

When he returned, the knife began to turn red, suggesting that the knife was in high heat. Diana quickly took the torn cloth of the shirt earlier, in a thick puntal, and she made a pedestal to take the knife.

"Nigel, maybe this will hurt. Whatever happens, hold it and don't squander. It's going to be fast" Diana said, hoping that Nigel would hear it.

The man looked apprehensive. His body was filled with sweat and unstable breath. This may be due to the effects of blood deficiency.

Not waiting for long, Diana pressed the blunt side of the hot blade into Nigel's wound. Only the side that is bleeding. Nigel roared for a moment. But, he tried to restrain his body so as not to wriggle. He even clasped the ground tightly to endure the pain.
