Chapter 1

***

“Brie, the situation is safe. You can move to the front.” Vivian noticed the car that had been chasing them had disappeared from the rearview mirror.

“Are you sure they're not following us, Viv?” Brie said from the back of the car to her best friend who was concentrating behind the wheel.

“Yes, madam.” Vivian mimics the intonation of one of Brie's bodyguards who will follow her wherever she goes. In fact, if Brie decided to descend into the ravine, then they would prepare a slide towards the bottom of the ravine so that he could glide safely.

Brie got up from the reclining position and immediately slid moved into the passenger seat. Immediately he threw the bucket hat and sunglasses he was wearing to the dashboard.

“Hey, girl! Don't break my first car's interior!” Viv filed a protest.

Viv laughed crisply as Brie teased her side job. Too many mass frauds displayed Viv in a piece of his lifestyle that plastered on social media.

“Hey, don't tease me. Now, it's your turn as the star, Brie. So, are you ready to spend the first summer out of your father's reach?”

“Entah.”

“Kok, so not sure gini anyway?”

“My father is half the current owner of the most trusted security services company, Viv. Hopefully he doesn't raid your family's ranch house and force me to go home in the first week.” Brie was breathing out.

“Hey, it's your fault to be Dad's only child. If you were born as the youngest child to fail like me, then the security and protective attitude of your father will not apply.”

“Try to tell me again about all your brothers, Viv.”

“Okay, I've repeated this story three times, Briella Payne. How can you forget this little important story of my life anyway? Are you sure you still call myself a beloved friend?”

“Argh, briefly. You have one older brother and sister, both married and married. When you were a high-school third grader, your mother accidentally conceded a goal and presented her twin sister as a graduation gift. Yes ‘kan?” Brie tried to hold back the laughter. “Because throughout our friendship over the past four years, you have always protested at the attention distracted by the twins. I can't wait to meet them, Viv!”

Vivian advances her lips like a child and forgets the fact that she is now twenty-three. His finger deliberately tightened the volume of a country song that was playing on the radio to reply to Brie who was mocking him. He knew the girl was too city and fashionable for everything related to farm-smelling stuff.***
