CHAPTER 72. THE EX AND THE FUTURE.
Until cold sweat was seen coming out of his forehead.
"Mothers.. Alhmdulillah the mother's husband has begun to respond." said a doctor who approached Zelda.
Zelda was happy but not a word came out of her mouth, she just shed tears with a smile. Seeing the attitude of his patient's wife made the Doctor who had approached also sit next to Zelda.
"I can understand the feelings of the mother, the woman's mother is strong and strong, the mother's prayer heard by God, soon the mother's husband will be aware. Stay beside you mom" said the doctor, smiling at Zelda.
"My husband starts to respond and soon he'll wake up?" zelda asked reassuringly the statement from the doctor.
"Yes, ma'am, keep praying. Then me and my colleagues will be happy. We'll be here soon if we hear any movement from mother's husband." the doctor told Zelda.
The departure of doctors and nurses made Zelda immediately stand up and approach her husband.
"My husband... Thank you, you are trying to get up." said Zelda, clasping her husband's hand, and how surprised Zelda was when she felt something clutch her hand.
Zelda who was held in shock in disbelief, she spontaneously looked towards Horison who was lying down. Their two eyes looked at each other until the traces of his cry that had not dried up were now wet again because tears came out of his eyes without being ordered.
Without both of them realizing there were doctors and nurses who had just returned now began to come to the room of Horison again.
"Excuse me, I came again to check on the patient's condition" the doctor told Zelda.
Zelda who heard only nodded while still looking at her husband's eyes that were already open, and when Zelda was about to get out of place she could not move because Horison was so tightly holding her hand.
Knowing that the patient did not want to be left by his wife, the doctor finally allowed Zelda to sit next to her husband.
One by one the tools attached to the body of Horison began to be removed, now really looks face Horison who is still pale looking at the face of his wife.
"Father, congratulations on passing through critical time. My nurse and I are very happy. We will continue to monitor the condition of the father in recent days. If the condition gets better then you can go home" the doctor told Zelda and Horison.
"Okay Doc, thank you" said Horison.
After the departure of doctors and nurses, there was only Zelda and Horison who were still looking at each other, Zelda who still did not know what to say could only be silent while shedding tears. So also with Horison who had no ceaseless look at the face of the wife while occasionally wiping the tears that fell on Zelda's cheeks.
"Why are you still crying? Didn't I realize." said Horison breaking the silence.
"Thank you." said Zelda with a happy smile and held back her crying so as not to go back out.
"Come here." Horison commanded while gesturing for Zelda to approach him.
Being asked to come closer made Zelda happy despite her disbelief but she was happy.
"Thank you for waiting for me." Horison whispered to his wife.
"It's my job to always be by your side" replied Zelda who was now back sitting.
"May I ask you something?"
"Yes, please."
"Before I ask you to apologize."
"I'm sorry what?"
"I'm sorry for all my mistakes."
"I forgive all your mistakes except .."
"Except what?"
"Except your mistake yesterday."
"What?"
"You have put yourself in danger."
"As a husband it is natural that I protect my wife and daughter."
"It wouldn't have happened if I hadn't caught him. If anything happens, I shouldn't be you here."
"This is fate, I am destined to be here so that you can forgive all my mistakes. If you are here, you will never forgive me."
"Don't do it, next time don't be like that. I don't want you to get hurt like this."
Horison just smiled to see his wife talking like that.
The two of them seemed to be talking to each other, the conversation looked so very different, unlike the usual short, dense and clear talk. This time all the words that came out of Horison's lips made Zelda feel comfortable so she forgot all the questions she had asked when her husband was still unconscious.
Their fun to talk and laugh cheerfully so that someone who wants to enter is reluctant to disturb the harmonious atmosphere of the two married couples.
"Why not go in?" asked Anggie who was at the door and was about to enter.
"Why? Is Horison conscious?"
"Yes, don't bother them. Let's just wait here, where's Nata?" ask Richard who's trying to shift the question to get Anggie to discuss another question.
"That" he said, pointing to where Nata was.
"Is there something you already know." asked Richard to his lady.
"Something .. What's?" pretend Anggie doesn't know.
"That guy. She's the Princess' ex-husband and Nata's biological father, right."
Anggie kept quiet and looked towards Richard.
"Don't pretend not to know, maybe it's time for Nata to know who her real father is."
"But Nata did not know if the man was his father, which he knew was his father's helper."
"Yes, that's why I haven't seen Henri, the man Nata usually calls the doctor's uncle."
"Uncle doctor, since when did Nata meet him?" ask Anggie in shock.
Richard also told what happened a few weeks ago, about a small quarrel that finally happened in the family of his best friend.
"Then how?"
"What?"
"Did Nata know if the donor was his father?"
"It seems not yet, which she knows her mother forbade her from meeting Henri, but it seems like this is fate. Although the Princess forbids Henri to meet his daughter, the one who comes and saves Horison is none other than Yugo, Nata's real father."
Hearing that made Anggie think that a father would never let his son cry. Yugo is willing to donate his blood to a man his daughter considers a father, although he is disappointed with his ex-wife who did not tell him about her pregnancy.
"What's wrong with you, why silence? Are you thinking of something?"
"Does anyone in the office know that Horison's married?"
"Everyone knows, but they choose not to find out who Horison's wife is, which she knows that the boss already has children."
"Did they know that Zelda was Horison's wife?"
"Account ... Uncle... Why are you guys here? Come on in, I want to see you." Nata said to Anggie and Richard.
Good thing Nata came, at least I didn't have to lie.
"I'll just go in, with my superhero uncle. Who knows, you'll realize when uncle comes in." Nata said with a smile towards Yugo.
Richard and Anggie couldn't resist Nata's wishes until they entered together.
Hearing the door open made Horison ask his wife who it was, and had not had time to see who had come heard the spoiled voice they were very familiar with.
"Mother ... Are you awake?" ask Nata while still holding Yugo's hand.
Zelda who saw the arrival of Yugo with her daughter tried to calm down even though her feelings were not good. Not because of the lingering feelings of love but the fear of what she should explain to her daughter after this.
"Dad is conscious, dear, come here." said Horison who was inside.
Hearing her husband say that Zelda just smiled at her daughter without looking at the man beside her daughter.
"Dad Nata has realized it's better uncle out." said Yugo to the little girl who is none other than his daughter.
"No, uncle has to see my father, my father has to know that uncle is the superhero father" Nata said as he pulled Yugo's hand toward Horison's bed.
Now that Nata and Yugo are walking past her mother, Zelda's feelings get mixed up, not knowing how to. While Anggie also Richard only observed the facial expressions of Zelda who looked confused.
Not wanting to hear what Zelda heard, she chose to leave.
