CHAPTER 69. BITTER REALITY.

Her happy thoughts began to creep in but a sentence came out of her husband's mouth making Zelda in disbelief.

"Are you sure you want this?" horison asked right next to Zelda's ear.

"As a wife I want to be touched and caressed" Zelda said, nodding and closing her eyes. "Am I wrong if I want to? Shouldn't we be doing this?"

"Are you sure you're really sincere about doing your duty without any shadow of your past?"

"Whatchu mean? Are you accusing me of imagining her face when we were together!" zelda asked as she opened her eyes, she could not believe what her husband said about the past.

"I don't talk like that" he replied lightly.

"But you accuse me of that!" zelda said loudly and pushed Horison's body and corrected her position to sit down. The two now sit far apart.

Instantly the comfort and happiness at the top disappeared when her husband's words so hurt her heart that he concluded the meaning of Horison's question.

"So you're disgusted with me? If you were disgusted by my status first why would you ask me to get married!" zelda asked as she held back her tears that almost spilled.

Seeing the face of his wife who almost cried Horison just silent not trying to explain the meaning of his words.

"If there is no answer, it means you are disgusted. Well, if that's your reason, at least I understand what's the reason during marriage we never got naked" Zelda said then passed leaving Horison in the study alone.

Seeing the departure of his wife made Horison take his breath so deep, his eyes closed while still imagined the face and speech of his wife who seemed disappointed. Zelda's words were so deep in her heart, as if they were poignant and sliced. He knew that his actions and words were outrageous.

Zelda who was now in her room tried hard and endured the pain and disappointment. He saw a circular ring in his hand and a wallpaper on his phone that saw the image of the three of them, namely himself, Horison and Nata.

Tears that had been held back by him now came out and fell down on the screen of his phone.

"Why are you so happy? Do you not know how much I admire when you receive and care for me and my daughter until you give your last name to my daughter.

Why do you let me down like this? What exactly do you want!" zelda said as she wiped her tears.

But his tears suddenly stopped as he remembered something he had seen in Horison's room.

"But the photo was, how could he have it? Wasn't that our wedding while in KUA. When did he take that picture?

Not only that many photos of me and Nata adorn his room.

What does that mean, if he doesn't love me for what he would rather put our wedding photos in his room than in the living room or the family room?" ask Zelda to herself.

All day, he chose to be in the room thinking about everything, he did not even remember that this afternoon he had to pick up his daughter.

"Where is mom, it's not usually this kind of mother" Nata said in her heart as she exited her class to see if her mother had arrived.

Feeling bored because his mother did not come he also chose to play with some children who were also waiting to be picked up.

"Uncle doctor?" greet Nata to someone who appears with a woman.

"Nata, you go to school here?" asked Henri did not believe he could meet again with a little girl who was none other than his nephew.

"Yes, I'm waiting for my mom. Hello beautiful Auntie!" greeting Nata to the beautiful woman beside Henri.

"Hey pretty, what's your name?" ask Pika back.

"My name is Yumna Razeta Son of Horison, but my father and mother used to call me Nata. What are your uncles and aunts here for?" asked Nata while looking at the interlocutor.

"This beautiful woman is uncle's wife, and uncle came here because he wanted to meet with uncle's patient." lied Henri, who deliberately invited Pika to meet a girl he told yesterday.

"Nata hasn't come home yet? What if we take you home?"

"No, because I'm gonna be mad. I'll wait for mom or dad to pick me up." explained Nata then he returned to play.

During Nata's play, Pika can't take her eyes off, her eyes staring at Nata always.

"He is very similar to Yugo and Zelda, I did not expect that Zelda was pregnant when she was divorced by Yugo. I have to tell him." said Pika softly while taking the phone in her bag.

"Don't, don't let them meet first."

"Why?"

"I'm afraid Zelda will keep her daughter away from Yugo,"

"Who is he?" ask Pika to her husband.

"Somehow, we just follow" said Henri as he moved from his seat followed by Pika.

Now Pika and Henri are right behind the car where Nata is.

"Don't lose them" Pika told her husband.

Moments later, they stopped at a large office building.

"What building is this?" ask Pika.

"Yugo's got a tough rival."

"You mean?"

"The man who married Zelda is the successor of the largest real estate company in Asia and even spread to Europe" Henri explained.

"Then what can we do?"

"Waiting for the right opportunity."

"Just exactly, when is that?"

"Please baby, I don't know what happened between Zelda's married life and her husband, I feel like there's something they're hiding."

"Did Zelda lie to her husband about ..-?"

"I know what's on your mind but it's not, it's not."

"Then?"

"Not that, surely he promised to bring Zelda and her daughter to Yugo when the time comes."

"Then do you trust him?"

"Yes, because me and Yugo know her so well."

Hearing the words of her husband makes Pika wonder who the man's heavy rival cousin.

A week had passed, Zelda's questions to her husband and her husband's words to her kept the two behaving normally as usual, there was no difference in attitude between the two.

So also with Nata who is getting more compact with his father, more and more, seeing it makes Zelda grateful for him this is a gift even though he has never been touched but married to a good man who will accept himself and his daughter is the greatest gift in his life.

But the happiness Zelda felt for almost six years stopped when she was picking up Nata, and suddenly a gunshot came from behind her when she was hugging her daughter.

Dooorr!!!!

"Mother, what's that sound? I saw someone hurt." said Nata who peeked while being hugged by the mother.

Zelda turned her head and tried to cover up what her daughter was looking at.

"Close your eyes." Zelda told her daughter and held her.

Zelda stood up and turned around to see who was the one who was lying down from being shot. His feet trembled when he saw the shoes and suit of clothes and pants in front of him, feeling familiar with the clothes worn by the person. Panic and fear began to appear, immediately he approached and sat down beside the man who was lying face down, the watch attached to the man's hand made his heart beat faster, he said, instantly his hand trembled after seeing the man's face to make himself scream and swallow the bitter reality.
