Reincarnated As A Side Villain

Reincarnated As A Side Villain
Everyday

Back to the reception ceremony.

Argeas sat quietly in the row as the head of the Academy climbed to the top of the pulpit to conduct the opening of the event and greet the new students.

Shortly after, the new student representative was called forward to perform the inauguration symbolically. And that student is Bellatrix. Students with the best Entry Test results in the entire class.

The girl looked even prettier as she smiled kindly before starting her short speech. And indeed the girl was thin-faced only when she looked at Argeas.

.

After finishing the ceremony, Argeas went to his class which was : Class B of the Nobles.

Indeed Akadami's students besides being divided into 3 majors, which are Witches, Knights, and Artisans, are also divided into 2 levels. Ordinary people and nobles.

So each major has 2 social levels that are also separated in place. The noble disciples were in the northern side of the Academy complex, while the students of the common people were in the southern side complex.

The second complex is separated by the Enterprise building, teacher room, library, and training field lined in the middle. From east to west.

Argeas took a seat in the back seat near the window facing the training field.

Although quite a number of disciples already knew him, yet no one dared to greet him. They just glanced while gossiping.

'No wonder they gossip too. The child with a rare class, who is also the prospective daughter-in-law of a Marquis is in class B. Instead of the Elite Class, Argeas' inner self understood the attitude of his friends.

And before long a reddish-blond-haired middle-aged woman was graciously carried up, entering the classroom. Which made all the children rush back to their respective benches.

"Good morning boys, introduce my name Rosalia" she said.

"I am your class representative. Class B. You will be under my responsibility for the next year" he added.

"And as a beginning, today we will get to know each other. I'll call your names one by one, and you'll introduce yourself" the homeroom teacher, Rosalia, continued.

.

And after doing a pretty boring introduction for Argeas, the first day's lesson was filled with various introductions about the ins and outs of the Academy. Starting from the rules, facilities, and group activities outside of lesson hours.

Then the lunch break arrived.

"Hey, Ar?" A scream called out to Argeas as he walked to the cafeteria.

"Oh, you're Luf." Argeas found the petite young man who was only as tall as his shoulder walking over.

"What class are you in? Elite Class, right?" asked Lufaine without further ado.

"No. I'm in class B" replied Argeas casually.

"Class B? Is that true?" Lufaine did not believe in Argeas' answer.

"Yes," replied Argeas quickly. "When are you in which class?" the question was then asked to withhold further questions with that class theme from Lufaine.

"I'm in class A." Lufaine replied in a tone as if she did not accept the lower class Argeas from her class.

"Oh, that's great for you." Argeas mince words of praise.

"Great what. The strange thing is you. How did you get to class B?" Lufaine still seems to be in disbelief.

"Yes, it just happened" replied Argeas, who began to feel a little irritated by Lufaine, exaggerating the class's problems.

But beyond the thought of Argeas who did not want to stand out, generally Academy students will indeed compete to be able to occupy the top class. In total there are 3 classes outside the Elite Class. Classes A, B, and C.

Because indeed the class division in the Academy adheres to the Meritocracy system. Where the strong will occupy the top position.

The division of the class will be evaluated by the Final Examination every year to determine the ups and downs of the class at the next level.

"Hey Ar?!" Suddenly from afar the familiar figure of Argeas waved as he walked over. It was Rodio.

'There was no change in the nature of the boy despite having experienced events that were traumatic for him. I think he was indeed a strong child, Argeas inner after observing the figure of the young man heading towards him.

"Oh, Luf? You here?" rodio said when he found his cousin with Argeas. But not ignoring him too much, the young man immediately connected with a question to Argeas.

"What's going on? I hear you're not in Elite Class?" ask Rodio.

'This theme again?' inner Argeas started to feel a little upset.

"Yes, that's.I don't think I'm that good at getting into Elite Class yet" she replied later with origin.

"Ah, what are you talking about. Where is it possible." Rodio is not gray Lufaine, his cousin. "Try after this I ask the head of the Academy," he continued with a plan.

"Please don't" said Argeas hurriedly. Seeming panicked, just in case the situation even gets more complicated.

"I, too. still have pride. So please, don't make me feel embarrassed" Argeas corals again.

Rodio speechless. It was as if trying to understand the meaning of Argeas' words just now.

"alright. I-i understand. But don't hesitate to ask me for help. Anything. Understood?"

'You understand? What do you understand?' inner Argeas looks inexhaustible with Rodio's way of thinking.

"good. Thank you Ro," he said then pretended.

"Yes, then I stay first" Rodio replied before leaving, leaving Argeas and Lufaine with a face that could not be guessed what he meant.

"Alright," Argeas replied quickly.

"So what are you going to do after this?" ask Lufaine then. "You want to go to the cafeteria?" continue with invitation.

"Sorry, Luf. But I'm waiting for someone." Argeas refused the invitation.

"Gee!" Suddenly I heard a scream from far away. And it looked as if Evangeline was waving from across the area.

"That's the guy coming. Excuse me first yes," said Argeas immediately farewell to Lufaine.

"Oh, okay. See you," replied Lufaine.

And Argeas rushes towards his fiancee before more people intercept him just to question his class.

.

"How was your First Day at the Academy?" evangeline asked as she and Argeas walked towards the pavilion just outside the cafeteria building.

They plan to have lunch together. Evangeline has made provisions for both of them.

"Yes, not too horrendous. Although I did not enter the Elite Class it was quite a conversation for other students," Argeas replied while sitting on a park bench around the place.

"But it's still in the normal range, right?" ask Evangeline again while removing 4 stacking boxes from her Storage.

"Yes. Still relatively normal," replied Argeas.

"Good."

Evangeline gave one of the boxes to Argeas. The one inside contained two slices of sandwiches, a few slices of bacon, and a small cup of condensed corn soup.

"Oh yeah, for the dorm you got 1 room by yourself right?" Evangeline added a question.

"Yes. Though the Marquis does not need to ask everything like that to the Academy," replied Argeas who felt not too comfortable with it.

"Are you sure you can cover up your odd ability from your roommate?" The girl again asked, which this time was like making sure.

"Yes, I think it's going to be quite difficult, anyway," I'm Argeas.

"Dad calculated that. That's why he asked for 1 special room for you." Evangeline explained.

"Yes, I think so, too" replied Argeas.

'The rules regarding the dormitories within the Academy are never fair and equitable. Generally, the nobility lived together in one room. At least for the noble class Viscount down, his inner later.

"For those with higher levels, usually get their own room or even a separate building. Like a condominium or a kind of Villa, he continued as if he was reminding himself of the situation that is happening around him at this time.

"Why? Feel like a spoiled child who relies on the power of the future father-in-law?" Evangeline asked teasingly.

"Who tried that spoiled child?" reply Argeas while shuffling his fiance's silver hair.

"Hey, stop Ar. My hairstyle could be damaged later," said Evangeline who then tried to reverse the hair shuffling Argeas.

From the outside the couple does look quite close and friendly. But Argeas still could not really look at the girl romantically. Even though he had kissed her once.

.

"Look around, someone has been spitting up the intimacy on the first day of entry. Did he want to show off that he was Lavis's family fiancee, having failed to enter the Elite Class despite her [Arcmage] class?" A bespectacled young man spoke from the window of the 2nd floor building opposite where Argeas and Evangeline were sitting.

It was an Elite Class special building. Separate from the regular class building.

"Yes, let it go, Tus. People who don't have the ability usually seek attention from cheap things." Another young man chimed in indifferently while looking to read a book that was twice the size of his head.

"Yes you're right, Al." The glasses boy agreed with his friend.

"You're wrong to think of Argeas that way." This time it was Rodio who said from the seat opposite the glasses young man.

"Oh, are you defending him, Ro? Are you close to him?" The young man who was reading the book was starting to be interested because of Rodio's words. He stopped reading and raised his head to look out the window.

"Or are you licking it to get close to the Marquis?" continued the young man who was now staring towards Rodio. His long hair covered part of his face.

"No matter what you want to say about me. But I'm sure there's something that's causing him not to enter Elite Class" Rodio replied.

"You're talking like you've seen his abilities, Ro?" The glasses boy spoke again.

"Sir Pause. Brother Jeda once told me. Argeas defeated Jack's brother in a duel in just 3 seconds" Rodio replied honestly.

"Jack? You mean Jack's successor to the Garland family?" The glasses boy made sure.

"true."

"Don't talk to you. How could Brother Jack have invited the boy who had not yet entered the academy to a duel?" This time the long haired young man spoke. Rodio's words made no sense.

"They came on Argeas' 15th birthday. Last year. You can ask Jack directly if you consider my speech careless."

"really? You serious?" The glasses boy made sure.

"What am I lying to? And why did Kak Jeda lie that Brother Jack had been defeated?" rodio replied which sounded quite reasonable.

"Hm... Hearing your story, I wanted to try out her abilities." Suddenly a dark brown haired girl along the chin spoke from next to Rodio.

It seems that the girl has been listening to the conversation since then. And only interested after hearing the story of Rodio.

"Tried abilities? Do you also want to challenge him to a duel, Ill?" asked the bespectacled youth to the girl who had that lackluster haggard look.

"If it has to be that way, why not?" reply to the girl casually.

"Maybe we can see his abilities in other ways." The long haired young man spoke.

"You mean, Al?" The glasses young man looked confused and curious.

"Four more months there will be an Academy Spring Festival."

"Oh, right too. But what if he doesn't participate?"

"You think the Academy will let a [Arcmage] miss the festival? I guarantee that he will definitely be forced to come if he really does not want to participate," the long-haired young man replied with enough confidence.

"Yes, we'll see in four months. Whether your words are true or just indiscriminate, Ro," said the bespectacled young man in a dismissive tone.

"Yes, prove it yourself" Rodio replied without a care.

-

After that began Argeas' daily life in the Academy that felt boring.

Boring because in addition to the materials taught Argeas already mastered entirely, also because he could not explore in the Ruins around Kotaraja.

And Argeas deliberately did just that because he tried to be careful.

The first is to be careful not to raise his level accidentally, which could potentially make people even more suspicious. And secondly, so as not to meet someone who knew him while inside the Ruins.

Because it is different from Ruins in peripheral areas such as Danae region, or Lavis region which borders directly with the Land of Darkness, Ruins around Kotaraja are very crowded and actively visited by Adventurers and Treasure Hunters.

So deciding not to explore is the safest and least risky action.

.

And a month passed.

"How about a month of re-learning everything you've mastered?" evangeline asked to tease Argeas.

"Ah. very boring. Even from yesterday, Miss Rosalia no longer asked me questions, because I could always answer them. It seemed like he felt that there was no point in asking me questions" replied Argeas who even complained.

As usual, the two of them had lunch together.

"Maybe it'd be better if you were in Elite Class, right? They've learned something else now. And two more months they had already begun to enter the Ruins under the Academy complex. Regular classes will have to wait until the middle of the semester" Evangeline said.

"Yes, if I'm honest it's a pity that I can't quickly enter the Academy's Underground Ruins either. But still, if asked to re-elect I will pass the Elite Class," Argeas replied honestly.

"That's what you're like, Ar." Evangeline shook her head.

"Then what are you planning to do to eliminate your boredom? It's been a month I've seen you do nothing horrendous" the platinum blonde continued.

"Do you think I'm someone who likes to create sensations?" Argeas seemed to not accept the words of his fiancee.

"So what do you think of [Meteor Come] and the rumors about [Magus] if not a sensation, I ask?" reply Evangeline with a contorted annoyed face.

"Stop that annoying face" said Argeas, as he waited for his fiancee.

"But at the moment I have not planned anything because I still want to be on guard. Who knows if someone is watching me" the young man said later. "Yes, at least for the next 3 months" he continued.

"Aren't you being too paranoid, Ar? What would happen if one or two people knew of your abilities?" evangeline responded.

'Yes, for the time being it's better that I act paranoid. Instead of having to regret when bad things happen, Argeas inner.

"Oh yes, how about the afternoon take me to the place of the merchants and craftsmen to find information about the price of certain Items." Evangeline is back. He just remembered that.

"Are you making another new item?" Argeas always enthusiastic whenever talking about Crafting with his fiancee.

Because he felt proud and amazed at the expertise of the girl in creating something.

"Later in the afternoon I'll tell you," replied Evangeline.

"All right then. I'll pick you up after class ends" Argeas said.

Which Evangeline answered with a nod. "I'll wait in my dorm."
