Four months before Argeas officially entered the Academy, her engagement party with Evangeline was held at the Lavis family residence.
But not as big as his birthday party, given the status and fame of the Marquis.
The event was only attended by the families of both parties and several noble families of the palace, in addition to the locals and the officials and nobles subordinate to the Marquis.
That was all because the eastern border region was too far away to be attended by the central nobles. It was also seen as not very safe considering its position directly opposite to the Dark Territory.
But a few days before the celebration, two important people came to the Lavis family residence.
They were the 8th Prince of the Palace family. And also the first son of Duke Zachary, one of the influential noble families, who was identical with Evangeline.
Their arrival was not to attend the engagement of Argeas and Evangeline, but rather to carry out routine Cleaning duties on the border region.

Only the Marquis, Julius, and Argeas welcomed the Prince.
Because the Argeas family and the Evangeline sisters' family have still not arrived.
Argeas did arrive a week earlier than the invited guests.

"Yes, we've met before." The Marquis lightly patted the young man's shoulder which was introduced as Rodio Zachary by the Prince.
The young man looked as good as Argeas. Even their height is almost the same. His face looks enthusiastic with a firm jaw, a slightly large nose, and slightly curly hair in light brown. Colored with her eye pupils.
"Good day Marquis, lord Julius." Rodio gave his regards.
"How's Duke Zachary doing?" ask the Marquis later.

"You've become a valiant knight now, Ro. You've even started cleaning, how old are you now?" The marquis praised who then continued with the question.
"I'm 17 now, Marquis." Rodio replied with a face of sumringah. Happy and proud to receive praise from the Marquis.
"Well, that's young. You're in love with my youngest daughter. Duke Zachary must be proud of you."
"Oh right too." Suddenly Prince Alphonse cut. "Regarding your daughter, I'm sorry I don't want to be disrespectful, but it looks like we can't attend the engagement of your youngest daughter Marquis. Because it coincides with the cleaning schedule that we will do," he continued asking for proclamation.
"Don't worry about Prince Alphonse. After all, this was just a simple ceremony attended by close family members." The marquis hastily explained.
"Oh, and is this your future daughter-in-law the Marquis? The proud son of the famous Viscount Danae?" Rodio asked in a familiar pretentious tone when he saw Argeas standing behind the Marquis with Julius.
"Include me, he's Argeas. Argeas, greet Prince Alphonse and Duke Zachary's son Rodio" said the Marquis as he pulled Argeas' body slightly forward.
"Greetings Prince Alphonse, Mr. Zachary. I am Argeas Danae" said Argeas, introducing himself politely.
"Call me Rodio. Or Ro. Our age is not far away. I'll call you, Ar," Rodio replied kindly and friendly.
Argeas nodded, "Alright, Ro.." she said a little awkwardly.
"I heard you have a rare class [Arcmage], is that true?" keep Rodio up later. Questions that Argeas had predicted.
"Yes, right. I have been blessed with this class since birth." Argeas retorted by trying not to be arrogant, or to feel low.
"But one's class is no guarantee of determining one's ability, you know that, right?" Prince Alphonse.
"real Prince. I also agree with the Prince. As great and great as any gift given, if not able to use it, it will still be a waste." Argeas exerted all his ability to praise and attract sympathy.

"Then we'll excuse you, Marquis," he said, asking permission to leave.
"Oh, don't worry about Prince Alphpnse. Please," replied the Marquis who looked much happier because Argeas had just received a good judgment from the Prince.
"Until we meet again at the Academy, Ar." This time Rodio who spoke before then went to follow Prince Alphonse.

"The son of the Zachary family does have quite an extraordinary ability. At my age, he already has many achievements and achievements." Evangeline spoke as she and Argeas were chatting in the forested outskirts of the castle in the afternoon.
The two of them were at that place to visit Snow and the other Fenrir herds.
"Isn't he also on the same level as you in the Academy?" Argeas asked.

"But I still like you. Even if you're the best magic knight, or just the fourth son of the Viscount family, it's normal" Evangeline replied as she leaned her spoiled body against Argreas' body sitting next to her.
Argeas just laughed. "Thank you for that," he said later, scrambling his future fiance's hair in dismay.

A few days later the Cleansing Squad with Prince Alphonse and Rodio left the castle of Lavis's residence just the day before the engagement.

Argeas and Evangeline's engagement day arrives.
In the front yard of the Lavis family castle, which now turns more beautiful and festive with decorations in several places, guest chairs are lined neatly in the open space. Flanking a small path to the altar with a simple white cloth canopy covered the top along the way.
The happy and enthusiastic faces of the guests filled the seats. Which made Argeas who was standing at the altar waiting for his future companion to enter it, feeling a little nervous.

"Thank you."
And then the show started. This Central Government engagement ceremony involves the exchange of rings. Although still not a ring with a binding magic affix like a wedding ring.
Argeas kissed Evangeline's forehead after pinning the ring on the girl's left hand ring finger.
"Actually I don't want to talk about it, Ar. But you don't seem too sensitive about this." Evangeline suddenly spoke without context.
"Seek what? Did I forget something?" ask Argeas whispering. Seemed to start panicking a little in case without him realizing he had messed up the event.
"I've been waiting for you to take the initiative. But it looks like you won't do it first. So as your official fiancee now, I have the right to do it first" the girl said later.
"What do you do?" Argeas seemed completely clueless with Evangeline's intentions.
"Here," said Evangeline, pulling Argeas' collar down.
Then gently touch her lips to her future husband's lips.
Immediately a standing ovation from the invited guests roared throughout the room.
Argeas was surprised to find Evangeline's actions. But because his feelings have changed a little after seeing the figure of Evangeline who looks mature, making Argeas no longer reluctant to return the kiss of his future wife.
And now Argeas and Evangeline are officially engaged.

Shortly after the ring exchange was over, and all the invited guests were chatting while enjoying the banquet, suddenly Prince Alphonse appeared with Rodia in the middle of the castle's front yard, the place of the engagement was held, using the property of the Lavis family castle.
The two young men looked ragged with panicked faces full of fear.

People who heard it started to look panicked.

"Calm prince. Tell me everything slowly." The Marquis was still trying to appease the Prince. Because he needs information to be able to make a plan and take action.
"A-there's a dragon at the border. Three dragons. All the cleaning troops are slaughtered." This time Rodio spoke. His gaze was pushy and filled with horror.
'uh? Three dragons? Shouldn't there be just one? Is this the effect of the timing of the activation of events that are too fast like when I met Lushu and Ascian?' Argeas seems to be getting worried.
"Did the dragons currently pass through the walls of the Border Fortress, or were they still in the mountains? Where'd you use that?" This time it was Julius who asked Rodio.
"Mountains," Rodio replied with a quivering voice.
"That means there is still time to prepare, Marquis," Julius said later.
And immediately the Marquis began to give orders.
"Matiu, prepare a second-rate army to stand guard on the wall of the Border Fort with Ballistics."
"Ready, Marquis!"
"Phil, warn the inhabitants to evacuate immediately into the castle walls."
"Ready, Marquis."
And then the Marquis himself walked into his residence. "Julius, be prepared" he commanded his eldest son.
"Ready, Marquis." And Evangeline's eldest brother walked after the Marquise.
Amidst the bustle the Marquis arranged his soldiers to prepare for protection,

Argeas suddenly gets a notice that no longer surprises him.
'Yes, all of this is certain now. So I have to act immediately before more casualties fall. The Marquis' army will not be able to intercept the three dragons. What else beats him, ' thought Argeas.
And immediately the young man looked for a place to hide in the backyard of the banquet area.
"Ascian," call Argeas after he feels he's hidden enough.
Not infrequently appeared a tendril around the flower bush on the edge of the garden, which quickly formed a gate where then Ascian emerged from it.
"Yes, Ar?" asked the old elf with her voice.
"Can you help me?"
"What do you need help with?"
"Is it true that there are currently 3 dragons heading this way?" Argeas tried to make sure.

"Then bring me closer to the dragons," Argeas pinta then.
"Bringing you closer to those dragons? Are you serious?" Ascian asked to make sure but did not look surprised or worried.
"Yes. I need to confront them," replied Argeas without hesitation.
"Well if you're serious," the old elf replied without a second thought.
And then it emerged from within the Ascian [Gate] archway.
"This is it?" Ascian asked once more to be sure.
"Yes, thank you," replied Argeas.
"All right then. Call me again when you need to escape," Ascian added as he re-entered the gate where he had exited and then disappeared.
'Okay, now is the time to get ready. Three Dragons might be too dangerous to fight at the same time. So I have to defeat them one by one quickly, Argeas thought as he took out a black robe from the Storage and put on it.
Before then Evangeline appeared from the direction of the banquet hall. The girl was looking for Argeas.
"and?! Where are you going?" Seeing Argeas getting ready, and a stone door that he recognized as the High Tier Magic Spell [Gate] standing before him, made Evangeline feel that her fiance would do something dangerous.
"Eve, I have to go," replied Argeas not trying to cover up his plans.
"You're going to the dragons' place?" guess Evangeline's hoping Argeas answers no or not.
"Right," Argeas quickly replied.
"That's the dragon Argeas. There's three. Don't make me lose my fiancee for a while after the ring exchange." Evangeline tries to prevent her husband's plans.
"Don't worry, Eve. You know, no, that I've always been aware of my abilities. I'll be careful" Argeas replied trying to calm the worry of the girl before him.
"But, Ar..." Evangeline immediately hugged Argeas body. It was as if he was locking it to stay in place.
"Eve, listen to me. I must stop those dragons from passing through the Border Fortress. You understand the reason, right?" said Argeas, stroking her hair gently.
"And I had to hurry before more casualties fell" he added, withdrawing from Evangeline's embrace.
"You don't have to worry. I'm not really alone. Isn't Lu?" And the Elemental Fox came out of Argeas' wrist.
'True, sir is not alone, ' said the fox directly in the mind of Argeas and Evangeline.
Now he looks in the face of Evangeline. He realized he would not be able to change Argeas' decision that had been attached like that.
"Then, be careful Ar. Remember, you have to come back" the girl said later. With an unwilling face. "Take good care of your master, Lu," he continued this time to [Familiar] Argeas.
'I'll do it, madam." Lushu answered.
"Oh, and if anyone's looking for me, just tell me I'm going to the restroom because of an upset stomach" Argeas said, trying to make a joke to change his fiance's mood.
But only Evangeline replied with a wordless nod.
After that Argeas rushed into the magic gate before him, which before long began to sink into the ground and disappear unnoticed.
