Real Inheritors

Real Inheritors
the past of Dafi

“Master, please see this. Hurry up,” pinta Andi who is holding the tv remote and enlarge the volume.

Brata, who had just arrived at the end of the stairs, quickly approached Andi, one of his confidants. There was no look of anger on Brata's face even though the one who asked for it was a subordinate.

In a quiet voice, Brata asked, “What's wrong?”

Brata's gaze was fixed on the television that was airing a news judge's decision that fell on a teenager with a drug dealer case. At first Brata did not take the news too seriously, but the look on his face stiffened at a glance to show the face of the accused who was bowed.

Deg.

“Mahesa,” inner.

“Master, the boy .. I think very similar to Mr. Mahesa,” Andi said.

Before working for Brata, Andi was a driver of the Mahesa family. For one reason or another, Brata who is none other than Mahesa's cousin also employs him.

“What is today's news?” ask Brata.

“Iya, Mr.”

“Which trial? Go there right now. Find out who his parents are.”

A few days later, Andi brings Brata to meet a shabby woman with her face looking very sad. She is Ayu, the mother of the teenager who has just been sentenced to prison.

“Sorry if this is a little offensive, but I wonder, is it true that the child is your biological child?” ask Brata.

“Iya, Mister,” nods Ayu with a downcast face.

“You sure you're not lying?”

Ayu shook her head slowly.

“Then I was wrong. I recognized the boy's face as my late cousin at his age. That's why I called you here. Sorry to interrupt your time. I'll have the driver drive you home.”

Brata was about to call Andi, but then stopped when Ayu made a sound.

“Tu-lord. Are you that lady's cousin? I mean-.” Ayu seemed hesitant to say it.

“Which woman?” Brata stared fixedly at Ayu's face that looked frightened. Ayu's attitude invited a big question in the man's mind.

“What's up? If you have a problem, talk. Maybe I can help. Is this because of the case your son has? Is it true that he's been a drug courier?” brata asked half-urgently.

“No, Sir. Dafi just ngamen, sometimes help markir. He also said he was framed. My son doesn't know that the box is haram, sir. Really ....” Ayu sobbed with her head bowed.

Brata gasped at hearing that.

“I, I'm afraid, Sir. Previously said the neighbor, there is a nanyain origin of our family from where, nanyain age Dafi as well. Not long after, Dafi was arrested by police.”

Brata was still silent, and digested Ayu's words. His forehead wrinkled with a straight fixed look at the woman.

“I can assure you, I never found out about the boy to anyone. It's new now, and it's directly the same as you. Answer my question first, is Dafi your biological child?”

Ayu was silent for a moment, then shook her head slowly.

“Who was that woman you were referring to?” search Brata.

“Dafi's Mother,” Ayu said quietly.

“Salma,” Inner Brata.

“Tell me how the chronology happened,” pinta Braga with a serious facial expression.

Ayu also told me about herself and her husband who was surprised by the loud impact while in the garden. The couple was again shocked by a voice like someone was mired.

“Maybe someone threw something out of the way,” Toto said at the time.

They lived in the mountains, and the garden was under the road. Out of curiosity, the two looked for the source of the sound and had seen some men above, on the side of the road.

“Udahlah. Most also dead.” The sentence was faintly heard by Ayu and Toto. After feeling lonely, they stared at each other in horror while saying in a soft voice, “Mati?”

“Pak, don't-don't throw it a corpse,” whispered Ayu.

“Please ...”

Both of them were aghast at the faint sound.

With a feeling of fear, Toto and Ayu approached the source of the voice. How surprised they were when faced with a pregnant woman who drooped helplessly wounded because mired from above. In addition, they were also struck by the blood pouring from the base of the woman's legs.

“Pak, find help. Cepetan, sir,” Ayu said that she was starting to panic.

Toto sought help by waiting for vehicles to pass on the road leading to their village. The road is quite quiet because it is not the main road that is often passed by residents.

It just so happened that the car of a village midwife passed by. Toto asked for help and after seeing her condition, they agreed to take the woman to the health center.

“Please save my son. Please, I want to be killed. Please help my son, hide my son. I-they want to kill my son,” said the woman softened and stammered. “Sa-I beg,” Plus.

The three people looked confused, while the condition of the woman was already very worrying.

“Bu Ayu, we take it first to the saung. Come, Sir. Bopong this mom.”

They took the poor woman to a saung in Toto's garden. Due to the violent impact and shock, the midwife worries about the condition of the fetus in the mother's stomach.

Justright. Just laid down for a while, the woman strained. With the remaining energy, the woman gave birth to a son who was later named Dafi.

“I'm sorry, Sir. At that time we did not think long. It just so happened that I did not have any children, so it was very nice when Dafi's mother left him with us. My midwife and husband took her to the hospital and apparently died on the way. Out of fear of police, we brought Dafi to Jakarta,” Ayu concluded.

***

Dafi listened carefully to her past stories from the man before her who was none other than Brata. The man's gaze looked shady as well as sad when he spoke again.

“I'm sorry. With so much consideration, I deliberately did not release you from prison. I'm sure you were framed, and I've suspected someone. Unfortunately, it's hard to find evidence that he's the one who framed you. Until ten years later, Andi came to bring his sister named Pendi before me.”

“Master, your guess didn't miss. My own sister who delivered Mr. Rendi gave the package to Young Master.”

“You sure?” ask Brata to Pendi.

“Yakin, Sir. Sorry, I didn't know it was my sister's employer's son. I accidentally saw a picture of him while visiting Andi's house in the village. I remember the boy's face, because after finding out he was in prison, I felt very guilty, Sir. I really don't know if the package that Mr. Rendi gave me was a drug. I'm sorry, Sir. Forgive me,” regretted Pendi.

“Pendi,” says Dafi slowly.

“You remember him?”

“Sure. He once visited me to apologize.”

Chequek.

The two turned their heads toward the door where a doctor, nurse, and a well-built middle-aged man entered the room almost simultaneously. The doctor greeted Dafi and Brata, after which he told her that the operation was going well and that the bandage would be opened soon.

Dafi fell silent. He could not think well because his feelings and thoughts were filled with the past stories he had just heard.

Is that really all? The parents who loved him so much even in economic limitations were not his biological parents.

Who would want to kill his mother?

And Rendi .. Is he really behind all this?

“If it's true that person named Rendi was the one who framed me, would he also want to kill my mother? B 4L DI, the car plate was ...”

“Can you close your eyes for a moment? I'll take off the bandage that covers your face, and we'll see the result,” Doctor's speech disperse Dafi's daydreams.

Dafi closed his eyes, and resumed his daydream.

Until then ….

“Please open your eyes.”

Dafi opened her eyes. Right in front of him was a mirror that was deliberately held by the nurse there.

Dafi was stunned staring at the reflection of the face in the mirror. He then felt his face, and when he saw the reflection of his hand in the mirror, Dafi was sure the person in the mirror was himself.

“This is you now, Damian,” said Brata.

“What, Damian?” Dafi was surprised to hear a name that was very foreign to him.
