RAHAYU HAMLET

RAHAYU HAMLET
CHAPTER 8

Silvi and Denis were really surprised, why there was an old grandmother who dared to live in an uninhabited hamlet. To see it is very scary what else to live in.

"Sir, we just got here, huh?" Denis. The old grandmother stopped her steps and immediately turned her head towards the two of them with a smile.

"Don't be afraid, son. Grandma's not a demon. Grandma's human, just like you"

"But, Grandma. This hamlet is very quiet"

"Indeed, this hamlet has long been uninhabited, so it is indeed deserted"

"A lot of demons dong, Grandma"

"Don't say anything, Den. Sorry, Grandma. My friend really likes to talk" said Silvi.

"That's okay, son"

"But Grandma dared to live alone in this hamlet?" Ask Denis.

"Grandmother lives with Grandma's son. So, how. You guys want to stop by Grandma's house first?"

"Yes, Grandma. We're gonna stop by!" Answer Silvi.

"Of course, let's continue the journey. Grandma's house is bit again until" Denis forced to follow Silvi's desire to stop by the old Grandma's house.

"The true fate of the cave" Denis lamented.

Minutes by minutes passed. Finally they reached the old grandmother's house. The old grandmother's house was like another resident's house, made of woven bamboo.

"Please come in, son!" The old grandmother invited the two of them to come in.

"Sil sure, we're in?" Denis and Silvi are worried.

"Actually I'm scared too, den"

"I'm telling you, anyway, I'm getting to the end of the road"

"Yes, but I don't feel good about Grandma. Kasian if you live alone" said Silvi. The two of them were silent at the door of the house.

"Why are you afraid?" Ask the old man from the house.

"Yes, granny for a minute. We take off our shoes first"

"No need, son. Just put the shoes on"

"Where, Sil. You go in, I wait outside"

"God, I don't dare. Come on in my temenin. Not good as the Grandma" with the forced finally they both went into the old grandmother's house.

Arriving at the old grandmother's house. It was not as terrible as they imagined. Grandma's old house was really well-maintained.

"Sil, where's the grandma going?"

"In the kitchen, Den" replied Silvi. Silvi hurried off to the kitchen and peeked out from behind the door.

He saw the old Grandma was pouring two glasses of warm tea water for them.

"Why, Son. Just sit down."

"Yes, yes" replied Silvi nervously. While waiting, Silvi and Denis continued to pay attention to the atmosphere of the old Grandma's house.

"Hus, if in the same horrors granny is not good, den"

"So, the grandmother said she lived with her son. Where is his son?"

"Maybe out again, den" said Silvi. The old grandmother came to them with warm tea and a steamed cassava plate.

"With a drink, son?" Denis and Silvi looked at each other face to face. As if hinting at who used to want to drink and taste cassava given by the Grandma.

"Why are you still afraid?"

"Sorry Grandma, if I may know. How dare you live in this village?"

"Grandmother, already in love with this hamlet. Heavy for grandma leaving her. In this village there are many memories that must be maintained"

"If we could know. Whose name is Grandma?"

"Call me Mbok Ayu, son"

"Oh yes, Mbok Ayu. By the way where is Mbok's son?" ask Silvi. Suddenly, a loud voice came from behind one of the rooms belonging to the old grandmother's house.

"Bump!" The sound of door blows.

"What a sound is that, Mbok!"

"Calm down, kid. It's nothing!" Obviously the Grandma. But again a loud voice came from inside the room. The old grandmother approached the door.

"Shut up!" Shouted the grandmother. And immediately from inside the room was silent.

Silvi and Denis were shocked by the old Grandma's attitude.

"What's up, Mbok?" Ask Silvi.

"Just calm down, son. Please just drink the tea. It's still warm."

"I'm fasting again, Mbok!" Denis is lying.

"I tasted yes, Mbok. The cassava" Silvi said

"Please, Son." Silvi also took the boiled cassava given by the old Grandma. However, when Silvi was about to take the cassava. The old grandmother saw the necklace worn by Silvi and immediately hit the hand of Silvi who was holding the cassava until the cassava fell.

"Why, Mbok?"

"You better get out of this hamlet"

"But Mbok, I haven't tasted the cassava yet"

"No need, son"

"Hayu, we'll go. I don't feel good!" Whisper Denis.

"Formerly thank you for the banquet, Mbok"

"Sama-sama, son" Silvi and Denis immediately left the old grandmother's residence.

"Thank God, I finally came out of that creepy hamlet" Denis said.
