RAHAYU HAMLET

RAHAYU HAMLET
CHAPTER 13

That afternoon, Silvi had just returned from college. His mind and body felt really tired. Arriving inside the house, Silvi immediately fell on the sofa.

"Why, Non? I think there's more thoughts?" ask Mbok Mirna.

"Yes, Mbok. The KKN in Rahayu hamlet was canceled" Silvi replied.

"Well, how's it canceled, non? What's up?" ask Mbok Mirna.

"Don't know, Mbok. Where the activities for KKN are almost complete" Silvi replied.

"Keep, what now?" ask Mbok Mirna.

"So, Mbok. Just change the location to Muara hamlet," replied Silvi.

"Yaudah, if that is later Mbok informed Mbok's brother who lives there," proposed Mbok Mirna.

"Cabarin from now on, Mbok. Tomorrow Silvi and friends want to go to Muara Hamlet," said Silvi and immediately rushed to his room.

That night at 9 p.m. Silvi was in the room, because she felt thirsty, she decided to go to the kitchen to get some drinking water. But before reaching the kitchen, he saw Mbok Mirna in the living room was calling someone with a serious face.

"Whose phone call ya, night-night?" ask Silvi's heart. Silvi quietly approached Mbok Mirna. From the fleeting conversation that was heard, before hanging up the phone, he heard Mbok Mirna calling the name Bu Sri.

"Who's calling, Mbok?" ask Silvi. Mbok Mirna was a bit surprised by Silvi's presence.

"Non, just ngagetin. Just now Mbok called Mbok's brother who lives in Muara hamlet," replied Mbok Mirna before leaving Silvi. These weeks, Silvi feels there is something strange about Mbok Mirna.

"Why are you?" ask Silvi's heart.

The next day, Silvi, Denis, David and Mocil decide to visit the hamlet of Muara. It did not take long for them to get there because Muara hamlet is still close to the outskirts of the city. The vehicles they use can still get into that hamlet. Unlike Rahayu hamlet, they have to walk to reach it.

"This, Sil, Muara hamlet?" ask Denis.

"Yes, Den. Yuk, let's go down" Silvi asked.

"Well, if the location is like this is good, it is close and the place is also like comfortable," said Mocil.

"Rubber, Cil. Not kayaking in Rahayu hamlet," said David. They also got out of the car. And at that time one of the residents of Muara hamlet approached the four of them.

"You're Silvi, huh?" ask the villagers.

"Yes, Mom. I am Silvi, our plan is to carry out the KKN in this hamlet" Silvi replied.

"Yes, I know. Mirna's mother told me" replied the villager.

"Yes, I know. Yaudah, you guys come with me, let me take you to the village head's house," invite the villagers.

"Thank you, Mom. If you can tell, whose mother's name is?" ask Silvi.

"Call me Marni" replied the villager.

"Thank you, Miss Marni," said Silvi. They were also escorted to the house of the head of Muara hamlet.

The atmosphere of Muara hamlet is different from Rahayu hamlet. There are houses that use brick and some also still use bamboo webbing.

Arriving at the house of the head of the hamlet, they were warmly welcomed by the head of the hamlet who was about 50 years old.

"I'd like to thank you earlier, sir. The purpose of our arrival here is to ask for permission to carry out KKN in this hamlet" Silvi said.

"You're Silvi huh?" ask the head of the village.

"Yes, Sir. I'm Silvi. These are my friends, Denis, David, and Mocil" Silvi replied.

"It turns out you're a big boy. Oh yes, I am Mr. Jarwo, the head of Muara hamlet. Come in," said Mr. Jarwo who let them into his house.

Arriving inside the house, Silvi asked, "So you guys allow us to carry out the KKN in this hamlet?"

"Yes, Silvi. You can do KKN in this hamlet for about a month," replied Denis.

"If I may know, what is the main livelihood in this hamlet, sir?" ask Silvi.

"The average villager works as a farmer, but there are also those who migrate to the city. Some work as factory workers and TKI abroad. Oh yeah, how's your Mbok doing?" ask Mr. Jarwo.

"Alhamdulillah, good sir. Oh yeah, can we take a look at this hamlet?" ask Silvi.

"Please" replied Mr. Jarwo. The four of them went around to see the activities of Muara villagers.

As Mr. Jarwo explained, the majority of the livelihoods of Muara hamlet residents are farmers.

At the end of the road, they saw several pick-up cars parked and filled with various vegetables.

"This is the harvest of the villagers, sir?" ask Silvi.

"Yes, Sil. But not everything from this village. There are also harvests from several neighboring hamlets. They put it here" explained Mr. Jarwo.

"Oh, so the harvest from Rahayu hamlet was sent here, sir?" ask Silvi.

"Yes, Sil. Because this hamlet is the closest to the city," replied Mr. Jarwo.
