Pursuing Your Love

Pursuing Your Love
Chapter 7 The Declaration of Dion's Love

When he arrived at Krystal's house, it was not the girl who opened the door but a tall, white and handsome young man.

"Krystal is?"

"There was. Please come in."

Dion stepped inside the house. Krystal was lying on the couch watching TV. Dion sat next to Krystal. The girl woke up in shock.

"How come you've been going to grandpa's house lately?"

"There's something urgent I need to do. How's grandpa doing?"

"Grandfather is fine. Grandpa's looking for you and asking me to see you."

"Grandpa or you want to see me?" Krystal laughing. The girl took Dion to the park. They sat on a carved chair made of stone.

"What's wrong? Tumben you came looking for me? I usually go to Grandpa's house looking for you." Dion was silent for a moment, neutralizing the nervousness present.

"There's something I want to say. Something important."

The young man then stood up and gathered in front of Krystal while holding the girl's hand.

"Actually, all this time I've been comfortable around you. I tried to stay away but my heart was not willing. I try not to think of you but your face is always shadowed. I don't want to lose my chance and lose you. Whether it's love or what it's called, I don't know. Do you want to be my girlfriend? Wrong, should will you marry me?"

Krystal was stunned for a moment.

"Dion, i..."

Krystal did not continue when the young man who had opened the door for Dion suddenly came out to them. Krystal then stood beside the young man while embracing his arm. Dion did not understand but his heart started to get agitated.

"Dion, I'm sorry. I haven't been honest with you all this time. I'm engaged to Panji. I love her so much. I'm sorry."

Dion smiling.

"You are evil, Krystal. Congratulations on your engagement. Grandpa must be happy to hear this."

As he left Krystal's house, Dion's feet seemed to have no trace of the earth. His steps felt very light as his heart was injured. Dion felt angry, sad, disappointed mixed into one. Dion, the palyboy first fell in love but at the same time he had to swallow a disappointment.

"What's wrong with my young master? Coming home from Krystal's house looks sad?" Greet Grandpa Faiz when Dion arrives home.

"Dion's sick, Cake."

"ill? What pain? Where's that sick?"

Dion pointed at his chest.

"heartache? Are you young for heart disease?"

"Akh, Grandpa. Dion's heart is sick. It's like it's ripped apart, hurt, bleeding."

"blooded? Where's blood?"

"Dion broke Grandpa's heart. Krystal has been engaged all along. He's getting married." Dion rubbed his wet eyes. Seeing his granddaughter's sadness, Grandpa Faiz cried.

"That means you love so much, Young Miss."

"Really, Grandpa? So this is what love feels like?"

"This is love, Dion. No medicine can cure but love itself."

"If Dion knew it hurt like this, Dion wouldn't want to fall in love. Let alone losing love, losing Krystal who will soon be married." Dion's eyes were wet again and dripped on his cheeks.

"I'm sorry Grandpa, Dion. If only Grandpa had known that Krystal had a future companion. Too bad, Grandpa doesn't know either."

Since that day, Dion and Krystal have never met again. Krystal also never again visited Grandpa Faiz's house to see her favorite roses. Faiz's grandfather was increasingly restless to see Dion's condition, the young man became lazy to eat and felt at ease in his room. Dion seemed to lose his spirit.

Several times Grandpa Faiz tried to persuade Dion but his efforts were in vain. In Dion's mind was only filled with Krystal's shadow. Things he's never experienced all this time. Dion was never hurt by love.

"Dion." Call Grandpa Faiz. Dion, who was lying weakly in bed, only caught a glimpse and went back to sleep.

"Dion, let's eat, son. For a few days you have not eaten. Your body is weak. Grandpa didn't expect losing Krystal to make you this way."

"Grandfather, please call Krystal. I miss meeting him. I'd go crazy if I didn't see it. I want to help her find her sister and mother."

Poor you my grandson. You don't know, currently Krystal has moved to her future husband's house to prepare for her marriage. Grandpa couldn't convey it to you..

Days pass. Krystal was not heard from again. Several times Grandpa Faiz asked his whereabouts to the aunt who guarded his house, but the answer was not at all encouraging. Meanwhile, Dion's holiday is coming to an end, but his frail condition does not allow the young man to walk.

"Dion, wake up, son. Enough of your sadness. Why cry for a woman who is getting married? There's still a lot of girls out there who are prettier than Krystal."

Dion got up and leaned against the pillow.

"Alright, Dion. If you really love Krystal, Grandpa let you pursue your love."

"But Krystal is engaged and about to get married, Cake."

"Don't betrothal. The wedding can be cancelled. At least you've fought my grandson. Pursue love. If in the end your struggle does not work. At least you tried. Grandpa's instinct says, Krystal's soul mate is you."

"Grandfather's right. I have to fight for my love. Krystal should know that I really love her." I shouldn't have kept quiet like this.

*****

A bright morning as bright as Dion who had risen from his grief. The young man was ready to pursue his love.

"Assalamu Alaikum."

Faiz and Dion's grandfather, who was enjoying a warm tea in the living room, looked at each other when they heard a sound from outside.

"Grandfather."

"Krystal?" Faiz and Dion's grandfather compactly called the name Krystal. Krystal smiled and kissed Grandpa Faiz's hand.

"Why are you pale and thin, Dion? Are you sick?"

Dion who had not expected Krystal's sudden presence could only smile happily. The young man had no power to speak.

"What's so early that Nak Krystal showed up at Grandpa's house?"

"I miss Grandpa."

"Don't miss me?" Dion pouting. Krystal laughing.

"Krystal, do you remember your promise?"

"What promise?"

"Promise to come with me to Jakarta to find your mother and sister. You also promised to help me cut ties with all the girls I was in. "

"Are you serious?"

"I'm serious about leaving them all behind. Hows it? You're going with me?"

"Yes. I'll go with you. The banner gave me permission. The reason I came here was actually because of that matter."

Perfect! The banner has made a big mistake. This is my chance to snatch Krystal from her, Inner Dion cheered in excitement.

Both then broke down. Panji and the housekeeper's aunt take Krystal to Faiz's Grandpa's house.

'Take care of your health." Crystal Message. Then Panji went forward to embrace Krystal. Dion looked away as the scene unfolded. His heart was very wounded.

"Dion, take care of Krystal." Grandpa Faiz's message as Dion parted and kissed his hand.

"Don't overdo it like that, Krystal. We won't go far either." Dion said as they left the house. Dion was not happy to see Krystal waving at Panji. Dion was upset.

"Let's have the ring now, yeah." Dion's heart was hot as he said this sentence.

"Oh, this ring is from Panji." Dion's heart was burning.

Long story short, the two of them arrived at Dion's house.

"This is my house, Krystal."

"Wow, your house is so fancy, Dion." Praise Krystal as they step towards the terrace. A beautiful woman greeted them.

"Dion dear, thank goodness you're home. Mama is missing." Mama Dion hugged her son tightly. Then his embrace stretched when he saw Krystal.

"Who is this beautiful girl?" Krystal smile.

"I'm Krystal, aunt."

"Tanteau kok. Call Aunty. Faiz's grandfather reported that there would be an angel coming. It turns out this is his bidadari." Mama Dion embraces Krystal guiding the girl into her home. While Dion follows them while carrying Krystal's backpack.

"Pa, this is Krystal coming."

A smiling middle-aged man looked towards Krystal.

"It turns out I was right, Krystal is so beautiful. Uncle has prepared a good meal for you."

Dion was stunned to see the change of his papa that could smile. Something extraordinary. Just this time Dion witnessed his Papa so happy. But when I was forced to Bandung I heard papa say if mama can not leave him, all I hear nonsense, if you see papa now, even papa can cook for himself, he said, which means mama does not have to always accompany papa, it seems I was trapped inner dion.
