President Mo: Need to Work Hard

Before Tang Xuan could answer, Tangning had already hung up the phone. As he put down the phone, his eyes seemed clearly upset.

It was not her choice to be born into the Tang Family. Wasn't it enough that he had been mentally torturing himself for so many years? How far would the Tang Family want to push her?

"Ning Ji's..."

"I'm fine," Tangning looked at Han Xiner and revealed a comforting smile. The rain outside further lowered Tangning's mood. But, as soon as she thought of Mo Ting, her emotions stabilized. In fact, he felt a warm feeling sweep over his body.

A long time ago, in order to hide from the Tang Family and to look after Han Yufan, he was willing to give up on the career he loved so much. Back then, she was happy to be able to move behind the scenes and become a supportive wife and loving mother. But now, she felt, just standing in the most dazzling position, would she match Mo Ting's majesty.

So, she would never back down because of the Tang Family again.

"Ning Jie, someone knocked on the door. That must be the boss. I'll open it."

"OK," Tangning smiled.

However, to her surprise, the person who appeared in the doorway holding a black umbrella, was Elder Tang's assistant, "Miss Tangning, the chairman wants to see you. He's in the car downstairs."

Tangning glanced at Han Xiner. Although his emotions were complex, he could not find any reason to reject his grandfather - especially since his grandfather had already come down.

Tangning gestured for Han Xiner not to follow her and gave instructions for her to call Mo Ting. Han Xiner nodded. As soon as Tangning left, she immediately pulled out her phone and called Mo Ting.

"Hello Boss, the Tang Family came to look for Ning Jie!"

Mo Ting was already on his way to look for Tangning, so as soon as he heard Han Xiner's words, he immediately sped up his car...

Below...

The assistant held onto her umbrella as she escorted Tangning to the black car that stopped under a tree. Tangning looked through the window at the old man sitting inside and could not hold his breath. He could no longer remember whether it had been 4 or 5 years since the last time they met...

"Miss Tang, please ..." the assistant opened the car door and gestured for her to enter.

Tangning hesitated for a moment, but ended up stepping up anyway. This meeting was so sudden, he had not even changed his costume.

Elder Tang had an honorable presence for him. She sat up straight and turned to look at Tangning as she grinned, "Is this how embarrassing you have been lately?"

"Grandfather, did you come because of the news article?" Tangning ignored his question and asked. "If it has, I can assure you that I will handle it myself. There's no need for you to come all the way here."

"Hmmph," elder Tang snorted. "You're really stubborn. It's been 9 years! Don't you miss your mom and grandpa at all?"

"Because you have the courage to get out. Why can't you stand a little bit of scorn and contempt from your brothers?"

"You're thinking too much about the situation. I left the Tang Family just because I wanted to pursue a career in entertainment," Tangning denied. "I'm not interested in perfume."

"But you were born with natural talent."

Tangning fell silent.

However, the atmosphere inside the car became extremely cold, making one difficult to breathe.

"If you want me to forgive you, I want you to sever all ties with the entertainment industry, break up with the bastards from the Mo Family, and return to the Tang Family."

Tangning remained silent for a while before replying, "I'm fine as I am now."

"What good? You are trampled by the garbage news every day. If you want glory, can't grandfather give it to you?"

"No, you can't," Tangning replied straightforwardly, "If I go back to the Tang Family, I won't be able to eat or sleep. I would feel guilty every day because I used the Tang Family money, because I felt like I was stolen and snatched from someone else. That's gonna drive me crazy! Grandpa, can't you just set me free?"

"Are you all that with the Tang Family?" anger began to show on Elder Tang's face. "It's so disgusted that you can't stay a second?"

"What did that bastard Mo offer you?"

"He gave me everything I missed. The thing that grandfather could never give me," Tangning said in a choked voice.

"How's what?"

"Dignity," Tangning laughed at herself. "Grandfather, I know it's impossible for you to ignore the whole family for my sake."

"Did you feel less dignified being born into the Tang Family?" Elder Tang was a little surprised as his hands began to tremble.

"I'm sure you're well aware of whether I have dignity. Should you ask the obvious?"

"Do as you please! If one day, you decide to return to the Tang Family, you better clear all ties with the entertainment industry. I will never accept a granddaughter-in-law who is involved with entertainment, regardless of how capable she is. ." Elder Tang gave up trying to convince his grandson. When it comes to personality traits, regardless of natural aptitude in everything they do, stubbornness is something that both his grandfather and grandson have in common.

"Then, I guess there will never be a place in the Tang Family for me ..."

"Tangning, a few years ago you suffered a lot because of Han Yufan and even got kicked out of the Tang Family. Look what happened in the end," Elder Tang's eyes turned red, "This time, because of a man again.. ."

"He's different."

"What if I force you to surrender to him?"

"I won't be able to do it. Even if I had to die, I wouldn't be able to do it. I can give up on anything, but when it comes to Mo Ting, no one can take him away. Even you, grandfather." As Tangning spoke, her voice was firm and words flowed out of her mouth quickly, not letting Elder Tang cut in.

After some time, Elder Tang finally found his voice again, "If you have to choose between me and him?"

"I don't need an empty Tang Family, I just need him."

Naturally, grandfather and granddaughter were destined to part ways in a bad way.

They just have a different opinion.

Elder Tang loved Tangning, but his love had a price.

Tangning was naturally driven out of the car. After the black car left, Tangning saw Mo Ting standing not too far away holding an umbrella, waiting for her patiently.

Tangning's tears flowed uncontrollably from her eyes. Seeing this, Mo Ting immediately took off his jacket and wrapped it in it, pulling it tightly into his embrace.

"It's okay. Everything is fine. You have me."

Tangning held onto Mo Ting with all her might. Only after she was forced to make a choice did she realize that Mo Ting was more important to her than anything else in her life.

"Tin..."

"Yes?"

"Do you know how important you are to me?" Tangning asked in between the rain.

"I know," Mo Ting replied in a deep voice as he kissed her head. "But, you must remember, I will always love you a little more than you love me."

Tangning buried her head into Mo Ting's embrace as her tears fell onto his sweater. The couple stood in the rain for quite a while before Mo Ting finally said, "Let's go back to the hotel. You can tell me everything your grandfather told you."

"OK," Tangning nodded her head.

Mo Ting hooked his arm around Tanging as they returned to the hotel. He felt a surge of emotion; who did the old man think he was bullying?

Even if it was someone from the Tang Family; even if it was an elder; as long as they made Tangning unhappy, she would not let it pass!
