PH-4: Stupid
Meisha POV
I climbed one by one the stairs quietly, this is my home and Satria. Precisely it was our home, yes at least for this one year I had to put up with everything that happened to me. Suddenly I smiled cynically and thought back to my heart as I remembered that this marriage was only for bail. Not forever with Satria.
I opened the door of the room beside the stairs, and again I saw the sight I had seen so often this past week. Satria who had slept well. Yes, it has been a week since the fainting incident that I prefer to stay away from Satria from my home and from my life with Satria. I decided such a thing was not out of anger at Satria who had yelled at me and scolded me, it was wrong. I chose the rest of my entire life for Satria because I felt no longer valued as a proper wife. Stupid right? Of course very. For the second time today, I feel stupid.
I sighed, laying my body on a king-size mattress. Next to Satria, my own husband. My eyes didn't want to sleep, I just stared blankly at the ceiling of the room and thought that was what I was doing right? ah really sucks.
I had just fallen asleep but I heard Satria's voice.
“iya, okay. Wait there I pick you up, here I want to walk”
“do not go anywhere ya”
Shortly after that I heard the sound of Satria's car and again I felt sad. I got up and walked down the stairs. My feet stepped into the glass door that showed the blue pool water, I shifted the glass door and inhaled for a moment the smell of chlorine emanated into my sense of smell.
The corner of my eye stared at my favorite spot. Swings that are oval and right against the swimming pool. I walked over and sat down slowly in a swing with a padded green pad.
I let out a sigh of relief, leaning against my body, this swing was completely comfortable. Drowsiness slowly crept back on me. Naturally, I just slept for a while.
I opened my heavy eyes, blinked my eyes a few times to match my eyes with the sunlight that invaded my retina.
“basis cold-hearted, inhumanity at all” mumbled in my heart
I saw a piece of the house, but I didn't find Satria. It looks like Satria did not come home all night, yes maybe just stay at her lover's house.
“husband gatau” muttered me again
There was actually a bit of disappointment when I found no sign of Satria coming home. I'm still alone, Satria hasn't come home yet.
“fool you Meisha” said to myself in front of the bathroom mirror with a cynical smile full of innuendo. I mocked myself who was too stupid because I still often wish more on the husband ‘mewhile I’ it.
I bit my lips, rubbed my face slowly before walking towards the kitchen making breakfast for myself. I opened the fridge and I felt grateful that it was still full of groceries.
Well, groceries. Then I have to cook.
“ya Lord..” I scratched my head which is not at all itchy with annoyance. I recall the time I cooked for Satria, for the first and last. Fortunately, I was home alone and free.
Just now I reached out my hand to grab the cheese and the cornet tin, as my phone shook. I closed the refrigerator door and reached into my pajama pants pocket. My phone screen displayed an unknown number, so I immediately frowned and thought.
I hesitated for a moment before finally raising the unknown call.
“Halo Ranielle?”
Deg.
I closed my eyes to hear a familiar voice that I hadn't heard for a very long time. And, right then and there I felt sorry for raising that unknown call.
“Ranielle?” the voice repeated. I was still silent, unmoved. There was only one person who called me by my middle name, only one person whose voice was very familiar but there was fear the moment I heard it.
