“It's been satisfied observing me, dear Ratna?” Matt asked with a mocking smile on his lips. “Or do you still want to try your luck? It's possible that this time I will be fooled and give you a loophole to escape.”

Ratna swallowed with great difficulty. It turns out that Matt was just playing with himself. The man knew that Ratna was trying to find a way to save herself or contact an outsider.

“If you shut up, I'll assume that the answer is yes. So now we're going to play the game that I explained to you.”

Unknowingly Ratna retreated away when she saw the cruel grin on Matt's lips. “What will you do if I refuse and fight you?”

“I did expect you to fight me like a dozen years ago. Really I miss that nimble little girl who tried to fight me wildly.”

No more.

Once again Ratna reminded that she was no longer a little girl a dozen years ago. Now she is a mature woman who will think carefully about what she should do even in desperate situations. Many times Ratna repeated the reality like a mantra to strengthen herself.

A shadowy gulf came to Ratna's mind. The times that Freddy taught him to shoot, the man also taught Ratna some martial techniques. Now Ratna has a chance to test her abilities.

“You are becoming more and more quiet, dear.” Matt said as he stepped closer to Ratna.

In her heart, Ratna counted every step Matt took. His brain turned around thinking of the most surefire way to take the man down.

Matt stopped when they stayed a step adrift. “Why do you look so uptight? Relax a little and enjoy this game.”

Matt's hand stretched out to caress Ratna's cheek with his knuckle. Soon Ratna blocked Matt's wrist with one hand. Not strong enough but gave the other hand a chance to lift the fist right at the base of Matt's neck.

The man took a few steps back while coughing. He did not expect Ratna to attack him like that. Matt was expecting a fight. But what he imagined Ratna would attack him blindly while crying hysterically.

Suddenly one of the closet doors lined up along the wall opened with a loud noise.

“You're fine, Mr. Bennedict?” asked the burly man standing in the doorway. The man looked at Matt and then turned to look at Ratna with a rogue face.

Judging from the speed of Matt's men coming after hearing their master coughing, Ratna guessed that there were some people standing guard right in front of the exit. Even though Ratna already knew which door was the one and tried to escape, she would definitely be caught back soon. Then Ratna's gaze fell on the object in the grasp of the man who was still standing in the doorway.

“I hit the base of his neck. I think now he'll have trouble swallowing and talking.” Said Ratna squeezing both hands nervously.

The man glared at Ratna and walked over to Matt who was still bent down while holding his neck.

That was Ratna's chance. As soon as the burly man arrived near Matt, Ratna moved quickly towards the door. As expected Ratna, Matt's men turned to pursue him.

“You think you can escape from here, Miss?” a condescending smile graced the man's lips as he managed to grip Ratna's upper arm.

“I didn't mean to run away.” Sahut Ratna lightly.

Unexpectedly Ratna lifted her knee until it hit hard with a bulge between the two men's thighs.

A loud moaning filled the air. Not stopping the pain of the burly man, Ratna grabbed the gun in her hand and slammed the handle of the gun right on the side of the man's neck until it fell down.

Without wasting time Ratna fired three shots at the entrance that was still open, making some of Matt's men who tried to re-enter away.

Afterwards he moved quickly towards Matt while pointing a gun at the man's forehead. Matt who had managed to regain his control just stood casually looking at Ratna with an interested look.

“It's been quite your silly game, Matthew Bennedict! Now get me out of this godforsaken place or I'll blow your head off!”

One corner of Matt's lips was drawn. He looked amused by Ratna's threat. The man moved closer until the muzzle of the gun stuck to his forehead.

“I want to see how strong you are. Are you able to really blow my head off.” Matt stared intently at Ratna with a condescending look.

“If anything happens to Ratna, I won't hesitate to kill Matthew.” The sentence was spoken calmly but could not cover the stifled anger that was emanating from his tone.

Toni glanced at the rearview mirror in the car. Max who was sitting in the back seat remained calm even after Freddy voiced his warning.

After a sentence similar to the oath that Freddy said, no one else opened their voice in the car. A stifling silence filled the entire car. But the three people who were in the car could not feel it because they were more busy with their own thoughts.

“I won't help you find where Matt hid Ratna if you don't want it to happen.” Finally Max opened his voice in response to Freddy's previous sentence.

Once again Toni glanced curiously at Freddy who sat beside her and then again focused on controlling the speed of the car she was driving.

Freddy's face did not change. Still featuring a flat face with no emotions like it was a few hours ago at the police station when Maxwell Bennedict managed to get Matt's address. But Toni can feel the anger that comes out like it covers Freddy's body. There may also be feelings of fear and worry. But the more dominant one is obviously anger.

The silence happened again. No one is interested in opening the sound until the car they are riding in enters a newly built residential area. The distance between the houses is still quite far so it will not raise suspicion if there is unusual activity in one of the houses.

“All police personnel will be here in about ten minutes. We only have that long to search for Ratna and then take her out before the ambush starts to avoid the woman getting caught in the crossfire.” Obviously Toni after parking the car a few meters from the rest house that Rudi thinks belongs to Matt.

Freddy just nodded in response then immediately got out of the car followed by Toni and Max.

“It's better Uncle Max wait here. Let us go in.” Obviously Freddy.

“Ten minutes is a very short time. You don't have time to fight Matt.”'s men Max did not wait for anyone to respond to his words. He immediately walked calmly towards the house which was located a few meters away from the parked car.

There is a high fence that surrounds the house with green shades of grass. Two guards were sitting at a guard post behind the fence. The two men gasped in shock and were clearly confused when they saw Max walking over. Before Max reaches the fence, the two men quickly open the fence, making way for Max to enter the yard.

“We don't realize when you're out of the house, Mr. Benedict.” Clearly one of the men was still with a look of confusion.

“Not to think about.” Max is calm. “What woman is still inside?”

The guard knew who Max meant. They nodded simultaneously.

“You stay here. I'll meet the woman.”

“Good, Mr. Benedict.”

Before proceeding, Max noticed the suspicious gazes of the two guards on Freddy and Toni who were standing behind him. Even though the two policemen were not wearing their uniforms, they were wearing casual shirts and jeans clad in dark leather jackets to hide the gun, but they looked like law enforcement.

Max cleared his throat to attract the attention of the two guards. “They're cops I bribed to help me. You know, Rudi's been caught. We need to be more careful now. And their presence here could protect us.”

Toni stiffens a little because Max casually divulges their profession. But instead Freddy still looks calm.

Hearing that the two guards looked at each other then slowly grinned to agree to adorn their lips.

“You are very intelligent, Mr. The bennedict. We'll be safe if there's a cop working with us.” Praise one of the guards who was previously silent.

Max nodded in praise and walked back to the house, followed by Freddy and Toni.

After their distance was quite far from the two guards, Toni muttered. “You are indeed really smart, Mr. Maxwell Bennedict.”

Max chuckles. “It sounds like a mockery, but I'll take it as a compliment.”

The main door of the mansion opened as their distance got closer to the house. Behind it were five large, muscular men waiting for them. I don't know how many people there are in that house besides Matt and Ratna.

“Mr. Benedict.” Greet one of the men standing at the front. The look on his face was the same as the previous two guards, full of confusion. “Didn't you just walk into the basement? I'm not aware of when you came out.”

This time Max prepares his angry acting to curse the man who has been negligent to the point of not realizing his master is out of the house. But before his sentence came out, the sound of consecutive shots distracted them.

Toni was about to dart towards the direction of the sound but did not because Freddy blocked his arm. The five men moved quickly. Max stood quietly waiting for the two policemen to move.

“We will outwit Matt's men like before. Uncle Max, make Matt's men doubt who they really are, you or Matt.” Obviously Freddy while preparing the gun.

Toni also starts setting the gun on standby while Max, who understands Freddy's intentions, rushes towards the sound of gunfire.

Dozens of men seemed to gather in front of the descending stairs that were like heading to the basement. Everyone is seen clutching weapons, ranging from daggers, swords to pistols.

“What really happened here?” max's voice echoed.

Almost simultaneously, dozens of men turned to Max. Their faces looked diverse, displaying their individual moods when looking at Max. The most dominant is the face of confusion. Some even look nervous to fear. They looked at each other to ask their colleagues for an explanation.

“Not Mr. Bennedict is inside?”

“If this is Mr. Bennedict, then who's inside?”

“What Mr. Bennedict has a twin brother?”

The corner of Max's lips lifted to hear the murmur of their confusion and he immediately put on a look of anger. “You're questioning who I am?” Max took a step forward to reinforce his angry acting. “See my face well! I'm Maxwell Bennedict!”

“See my face well! I'm Maxwell Bennedict!”

All eyes turned toward the voice that sounded so resolute, including Matt. Matt's distracted attention gives Ratna a chance to back away while still pointing a gun at the man.

Apparently Ratna's movements didn't bother Matt at all. He still continued to pay attention to the doorway where his men were gathered.

“Who's outside?” Ask Matt coldly.

His men who were closest to Matt immediately replied. “There is someone claiming to be you. I don't know why they just kept quiet. That guy should have just been shot.”

“Not just confess name. That person is also very similar to Mr. Benedict.” Sahut colleagues who also saw the face of the person who claimed to be Maxwell Bennedict.

“You stupid or blind? It is clear Mr. Benedict is here.” The guy who answered Matt's question is still talking.

“If you don't believe, just look for yourself!”

“You still doubt me? Step aside so I can prove that I am Maxwell Benedict.”

This time Matt chuckled at his brother's words. “Give him the way. I want to say hello to my brother.”
