Haaai...

Meet again...

This time in the spin off of the Lover Weekend. The story is clearly different because of the difference in characters as well. But still interconnected. Enjoy and hope you like it ^_^

-------------------------------

Ratna began to reduce the speed of the motor matic when approaching the red light. Every now and then he glanced at the watch while counting in his heart. If he rides his bike at a normal speed without a hitch, he still has five minutes in the office before the meeting starts.

“Good morning, miss.”

Ratna gasped in surprise when suddenly a policeman was standing beside her on the side of the road still waiting for the red light to turn green. Ratna was confused as she looked to the left right to make sure the policeman was properly speaking to her.

“Yes you, miss.” The policeman with a pretty good-looking bule face confirmed. “Please pull over here.” The policeman gestured with his hand.

Ratna's heart started to beat fast in panic. He still glanced at the left right while riding his motorbike towards the designated spot of the policeman.

Is there a police operation? But no other vehicle was told to pull over other than himself to make some people look at him curious.

Ratna swallowed with panic. Since last Sunday Ratna helped the caretaker of the Kurnia home where she grew up. Most of the children there have dengue fever. They were all busy taking the kids to the hospital and making sure the other kids didn't catch them.

That's why Ratna left in a hurry to forget her wallet, where the ID card, SIM and vehicle letters are located. Ratna only realized it when it was halfway through and there was no time to return. Today's meeting is much more important.

Once near the police, Ratna immediately turned off the motorbike and looked at the policeman with a clear look. “What am I wrong, sir? I feel like I've complied with all traffic rules.”

The policeman looked at Ratna with a flat face. “You are driving above normal limits, miss. Such actions will not only harm yourself but also other drivers.”

Ratna's forehead frowned slightly. He did speed a little. But he did it in an area that he knew was unguarded by the police and far enough from here. And every day Ratna does it. Some even drive faster than him.

“Really, sir? I feel I've been driving within normal limits.” Ratna tried to give.

The policeman pulled out a small book from his pocket, causing Ratna to panic. “Well, you drive within normal limits only in this area, right? Because you know there's a cop guarding here.” The police murmured it was like reading Ratna's mind. “Please remove your letters.”

Ratna's heart rumbled in her chest. “Eh, anu, sir. Earlier, I was in a hurry. So my wallet containing letters was left behind.”

The policeman looked at Ratna as he raised next to an eyebrow. “Then you are forced to accompany me because I will hold your vehicle.”

Ratna again gulped with great difficulty. “I beg you, sir. I was late for a meeting at the office. Next time I won't repeat it.”

The policeman smacked his little book into the palm of his hand. He seemed to be considering Ratna's plea. “Good. Instead give me the contact number along with your name.”

Ratna's face paled. Oh, naw! Will he get into serious trouble?

“For what?”

“If you object, it is not difficult to write a ticket.”

In a panic Ratna immediately uttered a series of her mobile number and mentioned the name. The policeman immediately recorded it directly on his smartphone. Moments later Ratna's smartphone went off signaling an incoming call. Ratna immediately checked it and looked at the confused policeman. He knew the new number on his cell phone screen belonged to the police.

“That's my number. Please keep it with Freddy Keegan's name. I'll call you later tonight, Ratna.”

“Aaaahhh!” ratna's reflexes shouted in annoyance.

Unexpectedly some other police who were in a group began to break up. The police officer was still grinning as he approached his flock. His friends patted the bule police on the shoulder while glancing at Ratna. They were still laughing as if sharing a joke that was definitely related to that woman.

Ratna refrained from going berserk right then and there. Those crazed cops are gonna be happy if Ratna does it. The woman immediately started the engine and then drove her motorbike in annoyance.

***

“You really embarrassed me, Ratna! We have the arrival of the most important person who highly upholds punctuality. But in an instant you managed to make the good name of our company go bad in their eyes.”

Ratna could only be bowed down to accept her superior's nagging. In the heart, Ratna repeatedly cursed the policemen and the carpenters. For almost an hour, the boss gushed his anger at Ratna. He could not defend himself at all. If I could, what would Ratna say? That a playboy cop teased him on his way? Surely his boss immediately fired Ratna if he gave that excuse.

Ratna breathed a sigh of relief as her boss took a long breath of fatigue. He could no longer hear the boss. Ratna's ears were already reddened by the heat.

Suddenly the boss threw a pile of documents on the table with a thumping sound that made Ratna aghast.

“I want these files to be back here tomorrow at nine in the morning.”

Ratna gaped at the pile of documents. How could he complete that much paperwork in a day? Ratna was about to open her mouth to protest but her superior got ahead.

“If I have not seen these files here tomorrow at nine in the morning, I will not hesitate to remove your position as head of administration.”

Ratna could only nod while grabbing the pile of documents. “Then I excuse you, sir.” Sahut Ratna immediately came out of the room Mr. Tio, his superior.

Ratna walked lethargicly towards her room. Suddenly someone hit him making the whole document splattered. In a panic Ratna immediately gathered to pick up the papers.

“You are so shameless. It's been a success messing up today's meeting now you're even squandering important documents.”

Ratna took a deep breath for a moment then exhaled again to calm down and continued her activities. Without seeing Ratna already knew who was speaking from her arrogant tone. He is Mina, secretary and affair Mr. Tio. Ratna was not looking to add to the problem because Mina's tongue was like a snake tongue. Ratna could lose patience if serving the woman and make Mina have a reason to complain about Mr. Tio.

“You are the one who is not ashamed, the basis of ****!” someone nudged Mina's arm making the woman grimace.

Mina turned her head and was ready to hit the person but she undoed the intention. Apparently Devi. That woman is Mr. Tio's neighbor. He knows Mr. Tio's wife well, although he is not familiar. Devi once made Mina and Pak Tio exposed to big problems for almost dismantling their affair. Mr. Tio could not take advantage of his power to avenge Devi because their position was equal. Since then Mina has always tried to avoid Devi.

Angrily Mina left the two of them and went into Mr. Tio's room. Devi immediately knelt down to help Ratna.

“Why are you so late when you also know this important meeting?”

“Please, Devi. Don't remind me anymore. Mr. Tio has scolded me all out.”

Devi sighs. “I don't mean to judge you. I care about you. The success of this meeting is also your success because you are trusted to be the presenter. Now I just want to know the reason for your delay. It can't be because you helped the caretaker of Kurnia's home. You yourself said it wouldn't make you late.”

“I've estimated the time, Devi. I would have come on time if it wasn't for the crazy cops bothering me on the street.”

“Where is the crazy cop?” devi asked confusedly.

Ratna got up while receiving documents from Devi's helping hand. “I don't want to discuss that crazy cop. But obviously if I see him again, I'll hit him with my bike.”
