DKW 4 - Papa's Will

After making sure Nisa was asleep, Vena came out of her daughter-in-law's room. He immediately met his son who was in the guest room to ask for an explanation. 

"Mom, now explain to Mama why did you marry that woman?" ask Vena furiously. He could not accept that his favorite son-in-law was treated arbitrarily, even though it was by his own son.

"We'll talk in my study, Ma!" bring Bima.

"Why? Are you afraid your new wife will get angry?"

"That's not the reason. I just want to be able to talk to my mom quietly."

Vein breathed her. "Yes already. Come on!"

"Yu, you can rest here first. If you need anything you can ask for help Bik Asih!" bima to his new wife.

"Yes, Mas" Ayu replied.

Bima and Vena came out from the guest room, both of them headed straight to Bima's workroom on the second floor.

"Now explain to Mama, why would you do that to Nisa?"

Bima walked to her desk to pick something up from inside the drawer. After getting the item in question he stood up again in front of his mother.

"What's this?" vena asked as Bima handed her the white envelope in her hand.

"Letter of will from the deceased papa," replied Bima.

Hearing this, Vena immediately opened the contents of the will and read it.

Bima nodded. 

"Why are you showing me this letter now? Why didn't you show me before you married Nisa?"

"I just found the letter a month ago. The letter was tucked between old documents papa in the safe" explained Bima.

Veins are rough. 

"After finding the letter I immediately told people to look for the whereabouts of Mr. Rustam's family. At first I only intended to apologize to Mr. Rustam and his family because I could not fulfill Papa's will. But…. " 

Bima paused her story. He took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly.

"But, what? Just continue! Who knows after hearing your story, you can understand and help you to persuade Nisa!"

Bima looked at her mother's face for a moment. He took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly. 

"When I found them it turned out that Mr. Rustam had died a year ago, while his wife was being treated in hospital for breast cancer. And a week ago Mr. Rustam's wife also died. Before he died, he told me to take care of his only daughter, Ayu. She also said that she had learned about the will from her late husband. Actually, he had come to Jakarta to talk about the will of the papa to us. However, knowing that I was married, he abandoned his intentions" Bima told his mother.

"Now according to Mama, was my decision to marry Ayu wrong?" Bima asked her mother for an opinion after telling her story.

"You're not wrong to make a decision, son. You only intend to fulfill your father's promise to Mr. Rustam's family. However, Nisa's reaction to your second marriage is also not wrong. Any woman would not want to be combined, let alone suddenly like this. Should have been before you married Mr. Rustam's son, you asked Nisa's permission first. Not in this sudden way."

"Then what should I do, Ma? I love Nisa so much, I don't want to part with her. But, it would be very unfair if I just divorced Ayu. I also have to be responsible to him." Bima looked frustrated. 

"After Nisa calms down, try to get her to talk again. You tell me everything from the beginning, who knows she can accept your decision and she can also accept Ayu as her honey." Vena could only give such advice to her son. He himself was confused who to side with.
