Big Project

Today Gerald is doing his usual activities. Early in the morning he had to get up and go to the office. Because the distance is quite far, he had to leave early in the bandung other employees.

His driving focus is partially gone. Because the first time he opened the phone when he woke up, he got a message from Susi again containing a good morning speech. Of course he was disturbed because of Susi's friend's wife.

He decided to block the woman's number. But a minute later the number came up again and it was from the same person. Susi. I don't know what the woman wants from him. Obviously, she already has a husband.

After spending nearly an hour on the road, the man's car arrived at the office led by Mr. Herlain. He hopes his driving focus is enough that is disturbed, the focus of his work should not be.

"Good morning, Gerald," said the man in his fifty years with a friendly smile.

"Good morning, Mr. Herlain," replied Gerald.

He glanced at the black-colored watch that coiled around his wrist. He thought it was bad luck because Mr. Herlain was already there.

"Why, Gerald? You must be wondering if I'm here early in the morning?" ask the middle-aged man.

Gerald shook his head. "It's not so, sir. I think I'm the bad one."

Mr. Herlain smiled.

"I came earlier than usual because there's something I want to talk to you and Arka. Arka's been in the meeting room since ten minutes ago. And now that you've come, let's go there. There's something I want to talk about big project companies."

"Good, sir. Then I did come bad luck, yeah."

Mr. Herlain smiled while shaking. So afraid his subordinates come bad luck.

Two hours later, the meeting was over. Gerald was happy because he and Arka were trusted to handle the big project. It's just why the location is close to Arka's residence.

The big project is in the form of a shopping center consisting of ten floors and must be completed within three months. The building is located not far from the house of Arka. So it requires him to stay for a while near the location. Because the distance of his home with Arka takes two hours more. It is impossible to go back and forth every day.

Arka's offer made the man glare. Instead of being happy to be offered a place to stay, he was instead made to panic because he had to meet his friend's wife every day at all times. Just meeting for a day has made him almost insane. Especially three months. Maybe he's really crazy.

"Don't think too much, Rald. You just stay at my house. Okay?!"

"I can't live in your house, Ka. You are married. So there's no way I'm living there."

"Why indeed? I believe you, Rald. I also believe in my wife. So you don't think that I'm gonna think anything of the sort."

"But, Ka. I can't stay at your house. Sorry, yes. Thanks for the offer. Later I can find a hostel or contract to stay temporarily near the construction site."

Arka chuckled at her friend's answer. It made Gerald frown in wonder.

"Why are you laughing? Is there something funny about me?" ask Gerald to make sure.

"Geraaald ... Gerald! Near the house or the location of the big project development there are no boarding or rented. Why are you stubbornly rejecting my offer anyway, huh? You take it easy, I trust you. My wife also definitely wouldn't mind if you stayed in my house for a while. He will definitely understand and allow you to stay with us."

"I believe you." Arka patted Gerald on the shoulder before leaving, leaving Gerald still in the meeting room chair.

Gerald stared at the back of his friend's departure until it disappeared from the reach of his eyes.

"If you knew my fear, Ka. I'm afraid that your trust will turn into a wound for you. I can hold back, but what about your wife?"

Gerald exhaled sounding a little harsh. He did not know whether to accept Arka's offer or not. He has to think about it again.
