Gerald laid his body on the bed of the guest room. He looked at the empty ceiling. Suddenly the shadow of his friend's wife crossed his head. He immediately brushed off the thought and rubbed his face a little rough.
"Oh my God, why do I think that" he said feeling guilty.
Gerald got up and looked towards the window. The rain has not yet stopped. Sometimes lightning strikes and makes the window glass vibrate. He felt very cold. In addition to the weather outside is raining, air conditioning is also enough to make him shiver.
He walked towards the AC remote attached to the side wall of the door. Intend to shrink the volume that regulates the temperature. As soon as his hand was about to grab the remote, he heard the sound of his door being knocked by someone.
He paused his intention to take the remote and open the door. A woman who a few minutes ago interrupted his thoughts was now standing before him with a small smile.
"Hi, Gerald. Here's a blanket for you." The woman who was none other than Susi gave a thick plain white blanket to her.
Gerald reluctantly received the blanket from the woman's hand.
"Thank you" he said later.
"Yes, equally. Hope this blanket warms you from the cold."
Hearing Susi's sentence just now made Gerald a little surprised and looked at the woman's face for a second. Before that, he nodded nervously.
"D-yes."
"Yes, I'm back in the room, yeah. Poor Arka's waiting for warmth from me."
Gerald smiled little hearing her.
"Good sleep, yeah. Have a good night's sleep" Susi said before leaving.
Gerald looked at the back of Susi's departure until it disappeared from the reach of his eyes. Then his eyes turned to the blanket that was currently in his hands. He hugged the blanket and was very fragrant. He looked back at the passing of his friend's wife. Susi's sentence was about Arka waiting for warmth from her, making her mind now wild everywhere. And the shadow of Susi wiping the drink spilled on her chest reminded her back.
"What are you thinking, Gerald!?"
The man beat his own forehead as dirty thoughts started to poison his mind.
"Gerald's asleep?" ask Arka as soon as his wife returns to the room.
"Not yet" answered the woman, as she climbed on the bed, lying on the empty side beside her husband.
Susi flicked her shoulders. "I don't know. Maybe I just plan on going to bed."
"Oh."
Susi pulled a blanket over her husband's body to wrap his cold body.
"Since when have you been friends with Gerald?" ask Susi suddenly.
"Long time. It's just that we meet again when Gerald joins work at Mr. Herlain's company. Me and Gerald are his confidants now."
Susi nodded her head.
"So he hasn't been with the company you work for long?"
"About two weeks."
"I'd never have seen it among your other friends I know."
"Yes. Coincidentally, his car broke down on a deserted road before the intersection of the road to our house. He intended to drive me, but so he stayed here. I'm sorry if you're uncomfortable I'll take a friend to stay at our house."
"It's okay. No problem, honey."
"Thank you, yeah."
"Yes, baby." Susi gives a brief kiss on Arka's cheek, the man replies with a kiss on the lips.
"Continue not? The weather's supporting you?" tawar Susi's.
Arka showed a smile to get an offer of rations from his wife.
"Of course I want to" replied the man.
Arka pulled the blanket to cover their bodies in full. They do it under the covers.
