Arka sits on the living room sofa. He looked at the package he had placed on the table in front of him. Somehow, he became thinking about the speech of the courier earlier.
Lately his wife's attitude has often made him feel surprised. Ever since Gerald came to his house, his wife looks a little changed if he notices. Starting from him who is always eager to wake up earlier than usual to make breakfast. To ask for a freedom that he thought felt strange.
Susi asks for freedom to do whatever she likes. For him it was a natural thing, but not the face also he asked for the freedom to wear more open clothes while the position in his house there was another man even though it was his friend. Susi also some days always make up thick even at home.
In addition, the incident last night that makes Arka now a little suspicious. Was there really a snake in his house last night? Why did Gerald cry hysterically. Not because of the snake, but something else. Butwhat? What Gerald's departure this morning has to do with last night's events that he doesn't know what the truth is.
Now a million questions filled Arka's head. The man rested his head on the sofa. Closing both eyes with clenched hands he used to beat his forehead.
"No, no. Gerald's not that kind of person. He's not that kind of person. I've known him for years. There's no way Gerald's like that. It's impossible."
Arka tries to keep thinking positively. But the courier's remark about Susi again disturbed his mind.
"Know my wife in person?"
"Of course."
"Know where? Since when?"
"Long time. Even before marrying you."
"Sorry, are you her ex-boyfriend?"
"Never happened, but never happened."
Arka held both sides of her head. Why is that sentence now even ringing in his ears.
"He must be lying. He must have lied. I know well what my wife is like. So there's no way she's what she said."
Arka tried to convince himself that what the courier said was not true. He had not been in a relationship with his wife for a year. He knew only one month, after that he was dating her month, then married.
Their marriage lasted four months. That means he was with Susi for about seven months. Does he know anything about his wife?
"Is it any good of me to investigate my wife's past, huh?" think Arka.
"But if what the courier said was true, however it was in his past. I don't have a right to dispute his past."
"It's good that I'm more careful now. I'm worried if the courier's words are true if Susi is still the same as Susi in the past."
Arka was about to rise from her seat. But stop it as soon as Susi comes. The woman was wearing ordinary clothes just like before Gerald came to the house. Wearing leather pants limited to the knee and using a white shirt that of course he usually wears everyday.
"Darling, what are you doing here?" asked the woman while drying her wet hair using a small towel.
"I-i"
Arka did not have time to answer his questions, Susi had realized there was a package of hers lying on the table. He quickly snatched the package like a frightened person.
"Why didn't you say there was a package?" exclaimed the woman while holding her package in the chest.
This raised a little suspicion for Arka. That woman was so scared.
"You're taking a shower, baby."
"Yes, you should have told me."
"Why indeed? There will be me."
"Yes it's okay. But the courier just left right away, was it done between the packages?"
Susi's question made Arka's eyes squeak.
"What are you worried about?"
Susi seemed nervous about Arka's question. Why could the man ask her that?
"Worryingly? What worries?"
"I feel like you're hiding something."
Susi made a splash. But he tried to neutralize his nervousness by staying calm.
"No, there's no. Then I'll go to the room first, yeah." Susi rushes away from Arka's presence, making the man more convinced if there is something that is indeed being covered by his wife.
