Painting Your Eye Ball

Painting Your Eye Ball
CHASE ME AGAIN

It's been almost a week Naya and Cakra have a new activity in the villa yard. Like a teacher and a student, the witty guy teaches the subjects that Naya misses at school. In his own way he summarized the material, then read it to his lover, although not infrequently Naya actually fell asleep.

Like today, Cakra has a surefire way to keep Naya from falling asleep. He no longer read the entire material but read it per sentence that Naya had to memorize afterwards.

At first Naya complies, but eventually she feels tired and all this feels boring. “What should I think of ya, Darling?”

“Yes. So far, this is the only idea I have. Do you have any other ideas so that everything feels easier?”

Naya shakes. “Gue. From tomorrow I will not study again.”

“Why? How can I teach too much?” Cakra stared straight at those round eyes.

“Not that. I need to adapt to my current situation. You also know, I'm not that easy to memorize. I don't think this will be any use either. After all, I'm never going to school again.”

“Who said? Lu, what, speaking of that? You can't be out of school anymore. Lu must keep pinter let others not.. “ Cakra speech stopped.

“Ngak what? Not insulted by anyone else? Paralysed girls who have no future do not deserve to dream. Bodo very people want to say how!” naya shouted with glaring eyes.

“Naya, I didn't say that. Each person has the same opportunity in terms of achieving goals. Depending on the individual wants to continue to struggle to achieve the dream or not.”

“But I can't paint anymore, Cakra. My hands can't stand the lag for a long time. My fingers are often numb, Brother. You know what, anyway? That was my dream. My dream is broken. I can't paint anymore with my current situation. It's all dark. No more paintings. My life is empty now. No more meaning.” Naya covered her face with both hands and cried.

Cakra immediately hugged Naya. Wearing that straight hair with affection.

“Lu need not be sad. You can't do that. You should paint. You can't despair. I'm sure your hands will be painted again, Nay. Lu cua needs time. With so much rest, you can. I promise, soon you'll be able to paint again. Trust me, Nay.”

Naya releases her body from the Cakra violently. “No way, Cakra. That's all impossible. You don't need to promise me anything. There's nothing else I can do. And lu? You can what?”

***

“Ma, Cakra is not awake yet? How could I not hear his voice? Usually he's, right, breakfast with us?” ask Naya wonder.

“Loh, indeed he does not excuse you?” Ms. Dian asked back.

“Ngak, Mom. What's wrong? Where is he going?”

Ma'am Dian thought for a moment. She thought Cakra had excused Naya before leaving, but she was right with what she said this morning. “Oh, yes. He returned to Jakarta early in the morning. Someone wants him to take care of.”

“Maybe he has to leave quickly so don't have time to excuse yourself.”

“Cakra has never been like that, Ma. He always put Naya ahead of everything else. Even if there is something important, he always makes a story or at least not saying goodbye first. Tuh, right, Ma? The chakras now are weird. He was more silent. He's not as fun as he used to be. Is it because Naya is not perfect, so she wants to leave Naya slowly?”

“Hush, you can't talk like that. Cakra can't be that hard as you. I'm sure he had a good reason for this. Let's wait to hear from him, yes.”

“But, Ma ... “

“Udah, don't think of a macem-macem. We pray that Cakra's business can be finished, so he can come here again. Come on, continue eating it. Macem-macem only thought of.”

Naya opened her mouth reluctantly. The feeling is not good. Like there's gonna be something separating it from Cakra. I don't know what it is, but he feels it. Dear God, may nothing happen with Cakra. May he not think of leaving me, inwardly Naya was worried.

Finished breakfast Naya asked to sit on the terrace of the villa. At least the fresh air of the countryside will calm his heart a little.

Naya is now quiet. He is not angry anymore. Just follow what her mother said. Now she has to do some road therapy with the nuns who came to her villa. It was hard, but he could not stand by sitting in a wheelchair without doing anything.

Warm rolls from his eyeballs sometimes just fall off. The girl who was once full of enthusiasm and cheerful can now only remain silent. Naya remembers her meeting with Caka last week at this place. “Cak, still remember not when I walked fast and you always lagged behind?”

“Yes, I remember. Wh why? Guekesel was really good at that time. I have to run the bar right next to you. Cepet very, hell, your way? Thousand foot descent, yes?”

“Involuntary. Only time the road is the same as you. For some reason, it feels fun to play a chase like that.”

“Basic, Chick jai!.” Cakra nets Naya's right ear slowly.

“Biarin! But you have to promise.”

“What promise?”

“Promise that you will not take revenge. I have to stay in front of you. I push my wheelchair wherever I want to go. I don't want anything to change from us.”

“Current lu!” Cakra chuckled and rattled Naya's hair in agitation.

The memory of the Cakra kept on passing through Naya's mind. His thick black hair danced in the wind. I miss you, Cakra. I miss you who are always chasing me, inner Naya is sad.
