Paid Seedlings
A Honesty

Bryan made a small run to the place where Manika was sitting while propping her chin. His eyes were on the outside of the cafe window.

With a gasp of breath, Bryan sat in front of Manika. She surprised the woman instantly. Staring at the brown netra without greeting it first. I don't know why his heart ached when he remembered Bryan's attitude this morning.

"Sorry, Beibeh. I'm late again" said Bryan, gently rubbing Manika's palm. Manika just nodded. His lips are still locked.

"You mad?" bryan panicked. He himself did not understand his feelings either. She's afraid of losing Manika and Cloe. But also can not ignore the request of the ex who needs him.

If you think about it, Bryan's head seemed to want to break without any solution that he could. For whatever time he tried to think.

Manika shook her head slowly, then handed Bryan a food menu book. Bryan seemed hesitant to look at Manika who turned quiet like this. Bryan realized that Manika's attitude was like this because of him.

Not wanting to wait long, Bryan immediately ordered a menu of food that became his favorite, namely seafood fried rice. The cafe waiter recorded all the menus ordered by the customer.

After the cafe waitress left, Bryan again grabbed Manika's hand. The look of the woman's eyes led to the side of the restaurant. There is a small garden filled with various types of ornamental flower plants.

"Sorry" said Bryan. His fingers remained faithfully rubbing the back of the daughter's palm.

"I want some honesty, Mas," said Manika, not even looking at Bryan.

He is sensitive enough to notice a change in Bryan's attitude. The man, before proposing to her last night, never stopped to reply to a short message from her. But why was it that after the man got what he wanted, he became transformed like this morning, who did not reply to a short message from him or give word if he could not pick him up as usual.

It was only a few minutes before Manika silenced him. What if the woman silences herself for two days? Could make it messy for sure.

"I'd rather you be honest but hurtful, than you lie and I know it myself," as if having strong instincts, Manika believes Bryan has something to hide from her.

Bryan looked to be touching his hair with one hand. She has no other choice but to recount her encounter with Casandra, her former lover.

"You promise not to get angry?" Bryan stared fearfully at Manika. Smoke his hands full dear. Then Manika nodded her head.

"Originally you are honest, Mas" Manika said. Then Bryan began to recount his reunion with Casandra, at a red light located not far from Manika's residence.

"I met my ex-boyfriend last night, after I drove you home. And we just asked each other the news. Then, this morning why I didn't pick you up, it was because he sent me a message asking for my help. Without thinking long I went straight to his house, because he said the disease relapsed." explained Bryan stared fixedly at Manika's eyes.

There was a tinge of disappointment emanating from her eyes. Bryan knew he was wrong. He should have told Manika first, if he couldn't pick her up.

Manika was silent. Hearing the former's words, his heart ached. So, the man sitting in front of him still has a taste for his former lover. Manika tried her hardest to suppress her jealousy. He has no right to scold Bryan and forbid him to stay away from the former man.

"Beibeh..," called Bryan, because Manika never responded to the story.
