My heart is really hurt

"Sir Vincent hates him a lot."

"W-what?"

"In Kak Vincent's eyes, Ruel was just a brandal, troublemaker's son who troubled him greatly, a little bastard who made Brother Vincent even desperately want to put him in jail for all the mess he always made."

"Is Ruel a child like that?"

Sea was silent for a moment. He knew enough with all the mischief of Ruel, even he always saw Ruel injured and there was no way that the wound could be taken for granted without a fight, then what made Ruel continue to get into fights? That question was always inside Sea's head when he saw Ruel with his scar. However, even so, one thing he believes if Ruel is not as bad as what they think. Ruel is a warm man full of affection and attention, although quite stubborn, but he has mature thoughts that can certainly distinguish all things good and bad.

"Ruel's a good boy, he's a warm and loving man, a man who always makes me smile and forgets all my sadness and pain. He's even capable of doing all that, Anna."

"Then, why doesn't Brother Vincent like it? What's the problem with Ruel?"

"Come, Anna. I also never know, what Ruel often does out there and whether it's a crime like what makes Brother Vincent so furious that he hates it. I just want to believe that Ruel is a good man who can protect me."

"But you know it's hard, right? Your relationship ...."

"I know, and that's what's making me so sick right now. I don't know if I can survive my current situation or not. All Dex's love and affection is not able to make me improve and forget Ruel. Even circumstances continue to force me to forget it, and well. I had to forget about it so I wouldn't hurt it any deeper."

"I don't want to be with him, make him love me more. I couldn't stay longer by his side. I don't want to leave her when her love gets bigger for me" Sea cut off, looking at Anna. "I'm sick, and maybe ...."

Sea's tears trickled down for the umpteenth time until it came back to an end in Anna's embrace that could only calm her down with a gentle swab on her back without saying anything.

"And today, I may have made her hate me by forcing her to forget me. I hurt him from beginning to end. I'm really guilty of him."

Dex was glued to the door of Sea's room, his body frozen instantly when he accidentally heard the words coming out of Sea's mouth that seemed to still be unaware of his arrival. Until a few minutes later after he managed to calm his own feelings, although not completely improved.

Dex knocked on the door of Sea's room that was not closed tightly and immediately greeted by Anna, after wiping tears on both cheeks Sea who was still sitting on top of his sleep. Even Sea could still smile at her even though he knew that Sea was currently grieving for another man.

"Did I interrupt your conversation?" asked Dex who was already standing in the doorway with a smile as usual, looking handsome with his casual appearance complete with a bouquet of red roses in his hand.

"Of course not," Anna replied smilingly, with a slight nod slowly towards Sea as a gesture if all would be well.

"I'll also be home now, good night, Sea" Anna waved to Sea, before stepping away. Leave Dex who was just smiling, before stepping towards Sea's bed.

Put some red roses into a cristal vase located on the nightstand. Not wanting to ask, why Sea's eyes were so puffy, or why Sea had been crying ever since, and who was the man Sea actually loved, his future wife. Dex just wants the relationship to be okay, though, and the marriage of those who lived in the count days alone could go smoothly before he brought Sea to a place where he could make the girl happy as he had dreamed.

Dex took a deep breath and let go slowly before sitting on the edge of Sea's bed, looking at the girl with one warm smile before grabbing her palm to hold it tightly.

"How are you today?"

"Pretty good."

"Are you waiting for me?"

"Hmm," nodded Sea slowly.

"Sorry, I've been pretty busy at the office lately having to take a few days off. But I promise you, I'll really spend my time with you after we get married. I won't make you lonely for waiting for me."

Sea smiled again for a while, letting Dex gently rub his cheeks before peeping the back of his hand.

"Son Dex."

"Yes." Yeah."

"If I ask, will you answer?"

Now the silent Sea did not answer.

"To be honest, there are a lot of questions in my head right now" Dex continued, still staring at Sea. "But I don't know why I don't have the strength to ask. I was too scared, if the question I asked would get an answer that hurt my heart in the end. Even though I don't have a problem with that wound, I just don't want to lose you."

The wounds in Sea's heart were bleeding, why not Dex the man he loved, and why until now the man was still unable to make his heart beat fast, she has the perfect love that many women out there crave. Has love made him stupid and blind to keep his love for Ruel?

"I'm sorry."

"What ... did you say that word because you made a mistake?"

Sea nodded slowly.

"Whatever your mistake. I will forgive him."

"Why?"

"Because you're the owner of my heart."

"Although ...."

Sea sentence stuck in the throat. Staring at Dex with guilt that left him breathless.

"Although, I can never have your heart," Dex continued with hurt feelings and a smile that still adorned his face.

Even he really believes now, if love is able to make someone stupid, even abandon logic. He was a smart man who always put logic forward. But why could he be so stupid if it was related to Sea. Is that how he felt about Sea?

"He .. is not a perfect man like you, but he .. is able to make my heart beat fast just by thinking about it" said Sea, making Dex's wounds bleed even more.

Until a second later when Dex held the nape of Sea's neck slowly before closing his own face. Close enough that the instantly nervous Sea could feel his warm breath and reflexively clenched his lips as he felt that Dex would kiss him.

"Have I been unable to make your heart beat all this time?"

Sea shook his head softly with his tears coming back and Dex who immediately distanced his face. Realizing that what he had just done had frightened Sea.

"Then, what should I do to make you love me, Sea?"

Sea silently did not answer.

"Say something, tell me what I should do for you. I don't even know what way I can make you think of me even once. Makes you not think about that guy anymore and just think about me? No, can you just pretend to love me?"

"I'm sorry," Sea replied in a trembling voice.

"No, Sea. I'm the one who should apologize to you, because I .. can't let you go to be by his side."

Sea's tears came back for the umpteenth time, and seeing that was enough to make Dex's heart hurt.

"Stop crying, Sea. I beg you," Dex's pinta wiped Sea's tears with her trembling fingers. He had never imagined before, if he would wipe away Sea's tears from another man.

"What's he?"

Sea still silently did not reply.

"The man you love" Dex recounted as his memory fell on the figure of Ruel whom he saw with Sea at the stop during the afternoon rain. Ruel who was running around while grasping the palm of Sea tightly, Ruel who made Sea laugh loosely, and now made Sea continue to cry because he thought about it.

"My heart is really hurt."

Sea raised his head, looking at Dex who was still clasping his palm from earlier.

"I, the perfect man, have been defeated by a child like him" Dex said.

"He ...."

"I know, you don't have to say anything about him. Because it's gonna hurt me even more."

"Sister don't need to feel hurt, because we .. will stay married."
