Chapter 1: Refusing Matchmaking

"Mommy! How many times does Zoe have to say that Zoe won't marry that bab*nci?!" Zoe's tone of voice had risen, because her mommy, Rania, constantly forced herself to marry a man who had been considered a man so-so by the beautiful girl.

Even though the man looks very handsome and macho when not wearing makeup and dressed like a normal man, but still Zoe does not want to marry him. However, Zoe could not deny, that previously she was very admiring Manny (Another name from Aarav) who turned out to have been betrothed to her since she was a baby. The beautiful woman who is in her 40s is still trying to persuade her eldest daughter. At the age of four, she looks very young and beautiful, like 15 years younger than her actual age. "Dear Zoeanna, listen to Mommy, son. Once you are married, Aarav will not forbid you to pursue your ideals. He made a promise to Mommy and daddy." Rania said as she cupped her daughters cheeks. "Mommy and daddy really love you, son, just like we love our other kids. So there's no way we want anything bad for the future of all of you. As parents, we only want the best for you. Trust me, honey." Rania continues to try to persuade Zoe, hoping that her daughter will understand.

"No, Mom." Zoe shook her head. Her tears eventually fell as well. "Mommy says Mommy and daddy just want the best for your kids. According to Zoe, that daddy option isn't the best for Zoe, Mom. Zoe does not want to marry an abnormal man like her, because surely our marriage will not be happy. Why is daddy so selfish? Her father arranged for her infant children. Daddy's really mean, selfish, got no feelings!"

"DOR!!!"

Rania who had lost her patience persuaded Zoe to accidentally yell at her daughter. She really disliked hearing the brash sentence that came out of her daughter's mouth just now. Plus he was very unhappy with the stubbornness and opposition Zoe had. However, Rania was aware, that the stubbornness and dissident nature of her daughter was declining from her.

Zoe's heart felt throbbing when she heard the scream from the mommy. As she recalled, for the 22 plus years she had lived in the world, this was the first time Rania had snapped at her, and it had really hurt her feelings.

"Mommy's evil! Mommy is just as bad as daddy!"

After saying that sentence, Zoe left the house in tears.
