Fourteen

Callista blinked his eyes repeatedly. He looked to the side, but there was no one there. Then glance at the small working clock stored on the dressing table. His eyes suddenly widened in shock to see the clockwork that had shown at 9 am.

"God. I wake up this afternoon?" Callista got up from his sleep and sat on the bed. Then he shook off the blanket that covered his body. His hands were still busy rubbing his half-sleepy eyes.

Callista circulated his gaze after his eyes opened perfectly. But there was no one in the room.

"Where's Fio? Is he awake?" callista said alone.

Callista was about to lower his foot to the floor. However, it is broken when the closed door opens slightly, and displays Fiona behind it.

"Sister-in-law is awake?" fiona looked at Callista with a smile. And Callista nodded.

"This is his breakfast. Bi Imas has made it for Sister-in-law" exclaimed Fiona again while thrusting a tray containing a plate of seafood fried rice and lemon juice.

"Who is Bi Imas?" ask Callista.

"He's the one who's been working at my house for years. Even when I and Brother Er were small, Bi Imas always took care of us" explained Fiona. Callista nodded and received the tray Fiona gave him.

"Thank you" said Callista.

"Eat and spend it. There's lemon juice. Doesn't Sister-in-law like it?" said Fiona. Callista smiled in agreement.

"But how do you know I like lemon juice?" callista scrunched his forehead.

"Sister Er told me" Fiona smiled. Callista was silent for a moment. He recalled when he and Erland had lunch together.

"Have eaten now" Fiona said again. Callista nodded and began to put a mouthful of rice in his mouth.

"After you finish eating, you have to take a shower and get ready. We're gonna go. Later let me lend again my clothes for Sister-in-law" exclaimed Fiona in between Callista's chews. Callista looked at him for a moment.

"Go? Where's where?" confused Callista.

"Sister Er gave me some money to buy my sister-in-law clothes and other necessities" Fiona said.

"But Fio, I don't want it" Callista said. He stopped his eating activities for a moment.

"But Brother Er gave him. And Brother-in-law must accept it or Brother Er will be angry"

"But Fio, I won't be here long" Callista said. Fiona who heard it displayed a sad face.

"Is Brother-in-law going to leave us? Why not stay with us forever?" fiona sounded soft.

"Can't Fio, this isn't my place. I still have a house and a sister. I can't leave her" exclaimed Callista, gently rubbing Fiona's cheeks that had been soaked by tears.

"But I already love Sister-in-law" Fiona said again.

"I love you too. You've helped me. But I also have a responsibility to take care of my sister who is being treated in a hospital" Callista explained.

"Then just bring sister-in-law to this house" said Fiona.

"It's not that easy, Fio, you have to understand" said Callista clasped Fiona's hand tightly.

"But Sister-in-law____"

"I promise to always be with you. I'll see you often. But not in this house" Callista said. And Fiona brushed off her smile.

"really? Brother-in-law still wants to see me?"

"of course. Just write down my number on your phone" Callista told Fiona. Fiona picked it up and smiled happily.

Meanwhile Callista returned to his activities. He put a spoonful of rice back in his mouth. And Fiona was busy typing numbers on her phone.

"You're so pretty. It's worth it Brother Er is crazy for you" cried Fiona again while approaching Callista.

"Thank you" said Callista.

"Can we go now?" said Fiona. And Callista seemed to think for a moment.

"Who?" callista.

"With driver. Come on" Fiona pulls Callista's soft hand. Then walk to the parking lot.

"Come Brother-in-law" said Fiona instructed Callista to get into the car. The car drove slowly to a place that would lead them to worldly pleasures.

After a few minutes. The car stopped at the mall. Fiona smiled happily looking around her. Likewise with Callista who also felt his eyes were washed.

"Our sister-in-law has arrived. Come on in" said Fiona. Callista nodded. And they got out of the car and walked together towards the towering building. And their interlocking hands clutching each other.

"Sister-in-law, we'll see the clothes over there" pointed Fiona at the fancy elegant piece of clothing.

"Sister-in-law do you like this kind of shirt?" fiona said she showed a knee-length pich dress with an arm that was just a thin rope.

"It's too open in my opinion" Callista said.

"really? But I think it's very good. Tell you what, you bought this dress first. Maybe next time it will be used" said Fiona. And Callista smiled. Then Fiona asked her shopkeeper to pack the dress for her.

After getting the dress. The two of them went back to various places there. Laughter between the two filled the building. Sometimes they joke around and laugh at clowns playing circuses.

Happiness between the two seems to describe that there is no sadness in their lives. Callista couldn't laugh after all. But today's happiness with Fiona really regrows the smile that had been lost on her face. Now Callista knows that there is no happiness without suffering first.

"It's funny that his badass. Hahha" exclaimed Callista smiling satisfiedly at the clown's silliness.

"You're right Brother-in-law. My stomach hurt from laughing too much" Fiona added. Then they laughed again satisfied with each hand that was full of groceries.

"Callista" call someone from behind. Callista and Fiona stopped their laughter and turned to the sound. They found a man in a black suit standing with his hands in his pants pocket.

"Sister Er, are you here?" confused Fiona stared in disbelief towards Erland. Erland only has a flat face.

Erland glanced at Callista with an unpredictable look. Callista did not look back at him. He rewinds himself to be behind Fiona.

"Sister-in-law why? Are you scared? Brother Er will do nothing to you" exclaimed Fiona turning her body to look at Callista. And Callista just bowed his head.

"Callista come with me. I want to show you something" Erland cried back. Callista shook her head and looked at Fiona. Like saying I don't want to go with him.

"Sister-in-law you should come with Brother Er. Maybe he has a surprise for you" Fiona said staring confidently at Callista. Callista answered his words. But locked when a circular burly hand clasped his hand. It turned out that hand was Erland's hand. Callista turned his head for a moment with a frightened face. Then he looked at Fiona pleading.

"Sister-in-law go with Brother Er. I'll bring Sister-in-law's groceries home" exclaimed Fiona taking over the groceries Callista held. And inevitably Callista handed it over. Erland pulled Callista's arm out of the building. While his gaze was still looking back staring softly at Fiona's face. And Fiona just smiled convincingly.

After being in the parking lot. Erland opened the car door and told Callista to come in. Callista just complied and got in the car. Then followed by Erland who also sat in the driver's seat. And cars drove up to break up the city streets.

After a few minutes. The car they were riding in was parked by the hospital. Erland parked her car there. And reopen the door for Callista. Callista came out feeling confused.

"You brought me here?" callista said heart of heart. Erland turned her head for a moment then asked Callista to follow in her footsteps.

"You want to meet your sister, right?" erland exclaimed as they entered the hospital corridor. Callista nodded in agreement to Erland's words.

"My sister's room is gone" Callista pointed to David's ward. But Erland continued on without stopping his steps.

"I've asked the nurse to move your sister to the VVIP room" Erland exclaimed. And managed to make Callista gawk.

They arrived at a room that was really elegant. Super spacious room and very optimal maintenance. Callista stood at the door of the room. Then entered when Erland asked him to come in first. His eyes widened perfectly staring in disbelief at the nurse who was feeding the patient on the ward. His water flowed without being asked. It was a huge tears of happiness. His heart smiled happily at the sight before him. His wait has not been in vain. Callista stared at David who was faintly aware in his coma. Now the smile returned to print his lips after waiting for David to wake up. Callista walked lethargic toward David who was being fed by the nurse. His outstretched hand hugged David tightly with tears unceasingly flowing.
