18. THE TEARS ARE DRY

Arvin drove Indi home, after a day spent with Ms. Winda. Indi complains of satiety because Ms. Winda continues to give her good food that she cannot refuse.

Andira who had taken Indi to Arvin's house instead went after getting a call from a college friend to meet his guidance counselor.

So it was Arvin who was in charge of taking Indi home later. Ms. Winda had already wrapped up the food she made today for Mama Amrita, such was the familiarity of the relationship between these two families.

“Deliver greetings to mama Amrita yes dear “ orders Ibu Winda on Indi who has climbed on the motor Arvin, and got a nod from Indi.

“Arvin! Be careful on the road, don't speed! Watch out for this beautiful mother's daughter scuffles!” Ibu Winda said to Arvin full of threats.

“Every boss!”

There is a look of happiness on Arvin's face to see the familiarity of his mother and also Indi. Although Arvin is the one who finally has to clean up the mess that happened in the kitchen. The filthy pots and pans and friends of his friends were waiting to be cleaned, and Ms. Winda signaled that Arvin was the one who had to wash everything.

Arvin was used to helping his mother, and befriended the inhabitants of the kitchen.

Andira just got off his bike when Indi and Arvin came home. Mama Amrita welcomed the arrival of her two children and also Arvin in front of the house after closing the stall.

“What is it?” Ask Andira who saw the package in Indi's hand and guessed that it was food.

“Nih mah, from Ibu Winda. Ibu Winda also nitip salam for mama” said Indi handed the package to his mother but was immediately seized by Andira who was starving.

“Sister! That would be for mama!” Indi yelled at Andira who stuck out her tongue mocking.

“ Nak Arvin all dinner here aja ya” pinta Mama Amrita on Arvin who wants to go home after delivering Indi. Time shows that soon will magrib, time for dinner because Arvin was indeed the way from his house after Ashar.

“Hmm.iya deh mah” Arvin agrees

Dinner was played with laughter. Indi helped mama Amrita clean the table and wash the dishes. Indi's father then watched TV in the living room, while Andira and Arvin chose to chat in the stall with a desk chair that was deliberately provided to just relax.

“Giman the script is sis? Did it work?” Tanya Arvin opened the chat and sat back as casually as he usually did. Arvin is already very familiar with the environment of Indi's house.

“Leave a little more revision” Andira sipping her coffee.” How about yourself? A lot of learning, wait for the kan” class exam continued Andira

“ Yes brother, one month after the final test of Indi. Oh yes..means Indi dong who soon face the test finally.” Arvin even remembered the schedule of the Indi exam.

“Lo is a prospective doctor, will be studying in Indonesia or in LN?”

“It looks like in Singapore deh kak, it has been planned for a very long time.” Arvin's voice almost whispered, as if lazily discussing it.

The two continued chatting until Indi joined in.

-

“What's the reward?” Andira asked her papa who walked out of the house after a man picked her up, Andira certainly knew the man because he was Rosita's uncle.

His uncle Rosita's house is right next to Indi's house, whatever happens there will certainly be seen from Indi's house or from his stall.

Indi who has also joined Andira and Arvin in the stall began to see oddities. At first Indi saw Sigit's parents who he knew, then Sigit followed behind him with his face down.

Andira is curious about what happened at Uncle Rosita's house, and immediately asks him when Rosita's uncle passed next to the stall.

“Uncle, what is it?” Ask

“Hmm...it....anu... yesterday patrol caught Sigit overnight at Rosita's house, and only returned home in the morning. They reported it to RT and told Rosita's mother. The family is holding Sigit accountable, he must marry Rosita as soon as possible.”

DEG…

Andira and Arvin widened his eyes and immediately looked at Indi whose body suddenly pecked. Indi slightly shook, Arvin who saw it immediately pulled him to sit nearby while listening to an explanation from uncle Rosita.

“ Yesterday?!! That means the day that Indi gets a slap from Indi” Inner Arvin

So on the day Sigit was angry to see Indi go with Arvin and end up in a fight, Sigit even vent his frustration by going to Rosita's house. The night that Indi went street to the night market with Andira and Arvin, Sigit stayed at Rosita's house.

Indi is still repeating all the info about Sigit. Indi had seen Sigit shoes in front of Rosita's house when he invited Rosita to go jogging. Kak Tina's past story of Rosita seizing her boyfriend. Also when Rosita who always boasts of his closeness with Sigit.

“Indi!…..The indi! “ Andira and Arvin alternately.

Indi's head was filled with all the overlapping memories until he did not hear when Andira repeatedly called out to him. Indi to drop the drink glass in his hand.

Andira increasingly panicked to see his sister's attitude, anger began to rub his heart. Andira did not expect that his sister would experience something like this at a very young age.

India will probably have a very difficult time after this. The younger brother who is always well guarded even had to feel a heartbreak whose daughter was very painful because of her own best friend.

The incident where Indi's lips bleed, Andira has not had time to ask Sigit for an explanation. Andira chose to accompany her sister who would need her to revive her sunny day.

But now the problem is getting more complicated. It's complicated because Andira can't tell this to her parents. His mother would feel more heartache than him.

Andira was afraid that her sister would do strange things to channel her heartache. Andira sat down beside Indi who was still silent, hugging from the side and grasping her brother's cold hands.

“Indi. If you want to cry, then cry” Pinta Andira on Indi who did not respond at all.

Arvin squatted in front of Indi, holding a hand that Indi did not hold Andira. His mind was also guessing what Indi might do.

Andira and Arvin really chose to see Indi crying loudly, venting his frustration rather than silence like an undead who had no soul.
