Chapter 6 Funeral

Early in the morning Mala was in the kitchen preparing breakfast. Today Mala cooks more than one menu, unlike usual, Mala prepares it all to commemorate the day of the death of her parents.

Mala arranged all her cooking on the dining table, after work later she planned to visit the graves of her parents.

One by one the residents of the house came out of their rooms, they simultaneously headed to the dining table, but again Mala did not find her uncle out with them.

"What way is this, really you cook a lot."Rani said looking excitedly staring at the dish on the dining table.

Bi Ningsih took a quick glance at the calendar, then she looked at Mala with a mocking smile. "Based on a crazy girl, she could have celebrated her birthday on the day her parents died."

Mala did not want to respond to bi Ningsing, for her there was no more birthday, her birthday ended right when she was 6 years old, right where her parents died after celebrating her birthday. Once an adult every year Mala will cook, not for her birthday, but to commemorate the passing of her parents.

"You eat first, I'll call uncle." Mala left them and went to her uncle's room.

"That means that today the fool can take his inheritance dong bu?"Sofyan said with a sneaky grin.

"Who said, I won't let that stupid girl take what's supposed to be ours."

"What does mom mean?" Reply Rani.

Bi Ningsing looked at the faces of her children in turn. "Mother will divert all of Mala's inheritance to mother's before the foolish girl takes it."Bi Ningsih and her two children smiled together, they were wondering, their lives would change after taking a inheritance that was not their right.

After work Mala immediately went to visit the graves of her parents, not to forget she bought two bouquets of white carnations, a flower that symbolizes purity and sincerity, not to forget, Mala wanted her parents to know how holy and sincere Mala loved them, even though the memory of them was only vague in Mala's head.

The bespectacled girl stared at the delusions of two tombstones lined up with each other. Putting the two bouquets of flowers on the tomb of his parents, he sat together between the two centers.

"Mother, father, how you are there, don't you miss me, why don't you ever come to my dream. Do you know, uncle told me about your relics, but I'm not interested at all, I don't need your inheritance, I just need you, I just want you."

Mala paused her sentence, rubbing her rough tears that had broken on her father's face. "I'm sorry that Mala, who still hasn't let you go, should have taken Mala away, not left Mala alone like this. While Mala was lamenting her fate, on the other side of the cemetery, a young man with a cold face was standing looking at the tombstone before him. His face was expressionless, but behind the sunglasses he was wearing was clearly stored his suffering.

Rey also reappears when Arthur plans to meet Mala to cancel his dismissal, and today Rey reappears where Mala is.

"No need mister Rey, I can go home by myself, thanks for the offer, I'm sorry." Mala who felt bad immediately said goodbye to the two of them.

After Mala left, Rey looked at Rafli with a difficult look. "Just for a second, Arthur won't be mad if you don't tell him."

"But you have to go home, do I need to remind you again about who you are?"Threat Rafli.

Rey resigned and obeyed Rafli, he immediately got into the car and left the funeral. From inside the car Rey looked at Mala who was walking alone, she was holding onto her chest which suddenly hurt, it felt like thousands of needles were hitting her chest, Rey was squealing in pain.

Rafli who realized it immediately pulled the car over. He got down and immediately approached Rey who was sitting in the back seat.

"Are you okay?"Rafli asked nervously.

"It hurts so much Raf." Rey said.

"Hold on, we're home sick now." Said Rafli, but there was no answer from Rey, he was asleep in his long dream.
