Alvino clasped his twin hand tightly as the doctor examined the girl's condition. Some time ago Alvino saw Arista clenching his hands and tears dripping at the tip of the girl's eyes. Alvino panics and immediately runs to the doctor without remembering the emergency button next to the bed where Arista lies.
"I don't know what's going on with you right now, but if possible please end and come back." Lirih Alvino is right next to Arista's ear.
"The patient's condition is stable, even better than yesterday. Keep on stimulating the patient because basically a comatose patient can hear and feel what we're doing."
"But I didn't do anything just now, how could she suddenly cry and clench her hands like that?"
The doctor smiled faintly, "Maybe something happened in the patient's subconscious that made him cry."
"It's been almost two weeks, but why hasn't there been any sign of when my twin brother will be conscious?"
"When a patient who is in a coma will realize it still cannot be ascertained because it is beyond our will. Some are only a few days, some are up to months or even years. It's just that it's very rare to have a coma for a long period of time, even if it happens it may not be saved more." Obviously the doctor.
Alvino nodded that was replied with a smile by the doctor before stepping out leaving Arista's ward.
"Hi girl, your two sons are home tomorrow. Don't you want to be the first one to hold him after he's out of the incubator? Don't you want to pick her up? Do you also not want to encourage your youngest son who is now also struggling like you?" Lirih Alvino, his hand continued to tightly grip Arista's hand and occasionally kissed her.
"You know? Your youngest son is very strong, when the doctor says he won't be able to last more than a week but see the boy only lasts almost two weeks. And I'll always hope he stays and fights until he grows up with his twin..."
Alvino closed his eyes and cried softly, imagining the state of his little nephew. His words were a lie, the child could indeed survive until now but his condition gradually decreased. Doctors even said keeping the child would only torture the little baby, but they had no right to choose but to keep the baby.
"Hiks.. I don't know when the baby's gonna last, so get up and meet him.." Lirih Alvino interrupted her crying.
Too late in the grief, the man did not even notice the hand of the woman he was holding little by little clasping her back. Alvino only realized once the hand was firmly gripping his hand.
"Ma..."
"Wake up and look at your three sons, especially your little one, before you're really late.."
Alvino smiled as soon as he realized what could make Arista respond to his words. Talk about the woman's youngest son.
"Gothcha.." Alvino exclaimed as soon as he saw Arista begin to blink his eyes. The man continued to tell about the condition of Arista's youngest child from birth to his current state of decline.
"Ehm..."
"Al.." said Arista with half-closed eyes.
Although it sounded very soft, Alvino could still hear the girl's voice clearly. The thing that made the man screamed in excitement and was about to call the doctor out of the room but had not had time to step his hand was already blocked by Arista.
He saw the woman shaking slowly and muttering softly, "My son.."
"They're fine, now you rest first let me call the doctor to check on you."
Soon Alvino ran out to find a doctor who some time ago checked the state of Arista.
..._____...
"Why you, baby?" Delia asked who had noticed Arista silently and pensively as if there was a heavy burden that the woman was thinking about.
Arista shook his head slowly and answered softly. "I just want to meet my son Mother."
"After your condition recovers, we'll take you to meet them. Anyway, tomorrow your two sons will be out of the incubator." Delia said with a big smile, she was also impatiently looking forward to the time when she could hold her grandson freely.
Instead of smiling, Arista's countenance grew even more grim. The woman thought more about the condition of her youngest son, even she did not realize that both of her cheeks were now wet by tears that burst out by themselves.
"Darling why are you crying? Isn't this encouraging news that their condition is good? You can carry it tomorrow.." Delia panicked, making the attention of other family members centered on Arista.
Arista did not answer, making Delia choose to hold her only daughter into his arms. The girl's cry broke as soon as she felt the warmth and comfort of a mother's embrace that she had longed for.
"Hiks... Hicks .."
Delia just kept quiet and kept stroking Arista's back slowly, while the other hand she used to give the code to the other family to come out for a while. Let them both be there first.
"Tell me what you're thinking, baby. There's only Mother and you here.." Said Delia after letting go of her embrace. His hands stretched out rubbing the tears of his daughter.
"My little sons..." Lirih Aristas.
Two words that refer to one person that Delia did not mention. His little granddaughter, a baby who still has to struggle between life and death.
"She's fine." Delia told a lie.
Arista shook his head, "Lied.. Please take me to see him.."
"Yes we'll see him later after your condition improves, now you rest first." Delia Clear.
"I'm okay, I just want to see him is that wrong? Mother is also a mother, can Mother rest peacefully while there Mother's son is struggling between life and death?" Said Arista on the sidelines of his cry.
"Honey she's ba-"
Arista shook his head strongly, "My son has even said goodbye to me. I just wanted to see him, at least for the last time in a lifeless state." Lirih Aristas.
"A-pa you mean.."
"My little son came to see me Bun.. She thought I didn't want her like that guy.."
"I want to see him, I don't want to lose him.."
"Hiks.. Hicks.."
"Dear try to explain slowly what you mean."
"Can't Mommy take me to see my son without having to ask this?" Arista asked a little and stared intently at her mother.
