Sadness instantly approached me as Luna said those words. I tried to understand her feelings, but my heart broke with this sudden rejection. I tried to calm myself down and shake off the disappointment.
"I understand," I said in a trembling voice, trying to hide my pain. "Honestly, I also find it difficult to sort out my feelings. But, if that's what's best for you, I'll respect it."
Luna looked at me with eyes full of tears. "There is nothing I want more than to be a part of your life" he said. "But, you have to settle your affairs with Anita first."
I tried to give a gentle smile as a sign of understanding. "You're right, Luna," I said. "If I don't solve my problem soon, I'm afraid I'm dragging you into it."
Then, we just talk about things that have nothing to do with our feelings, trying to take our mind off the tension felt between us.
A few hours later, the sun finally rose and illuminated the sky with its warm rays. Temperatures began to rise, warming the earth after a cold night.
Everyone wakes up from their sleep and prepares for a new day. They go to school, work, or do other activities to achieve their goals.
“Alright, Luna, it looks like I have to go home," I said farewell.
Luna nodded and smiled. "Thank you for spending time with me. I have to go to college now. But can we meet again later?"
I smiled at hearing it. "Of course, I'd really like to see you again. When can you?"
Luna thought for a moment. "How about two more days? We can have dinner together."
I agree with him with pleasure. "Alright, I'll call you later.”
By throwing a final smile, we parted ways and returned to our respective activities. Although today feels heavy, there is at least hope to meet again with Luna in the near future.
On the way home, my mind was still filled with mixed feelings. Although we tried to distract ourselves, the tension felt between us could not be ignored. The sensation I felt that night was completely different than when we were acting together. It was the second time I kissed Luna.
However, I was determined to remain calm and face whatever was to come. After all, we cannot control everything in this life, but we can control how we respond to it.
When I got home, I sat on the terrace enjoying the fresh morning air. Sometimes, letting the mind drift and calm down is the best way to deal with tension and worry.
Later, Night came up to me while talking about the complicated relationship between me and the three beautiful women.
“In addition to being able to block the goal of realizing your dream, love can also make some parties hurt," Night said as he sat near me. I looked at him, astonished at his words. How can a cat know about the complex affairs of my life?
"What do you mean?" ask me with curiosity.
Night replied softly, "I've seen how you've been caught in a dilemma between three women that means a lot to you. However, love is not something that can be forced or possessed selfishly. Love should bring peace and happiness, not worry and tension."
I pondered for a moment, pondering those words. It's true, my relationship with the three of them is full of conflict and uncertainty. Tension and worry endlessly haunted me, making my life difficult and uneasy.
"Maybe you need to reflect on what you're really looking for in a relationship" the cat continued. "What do you want is sincere love and love each other? Or do you just want to own and control someone?"
I sighed, feeling the cat was right in his question. So far, I've probably been too selfish and consumed with fantasies about my dreams. I forget that true love is about giving and loving each other, not seeking self-satisfaction.
"You're right," I finally admitted. "I need to rethink the choices I've made. I don't want to hurt them anymore or continue living in worry."
Night smiled slightly, making him look very wise. "Remember, taking care of the hearts of others is your responsibility. You must learn to love sincerely and give happiness to those who matter in your life."
I nodded, feeling inspired by Night's words. Perhaps, I need to reflect and find peace within myself before devoting my heart to others. My life would be better if I could learn to love without controlling and appreciating the sincere feelings of every individual around me.
In the silence of the morning, I let out a long sigh and closed my eyes for a while. I hope that when I open my eyes, I will find the right way to love and find true happiness.
However, I fell asleep and when I opened my eyes, I was already in a moving car.
“Who are you?" I jerked awake.
“We are from the Van Walton family. Mr. Edward Van Walton would like to see you" replied a man sitting next to me in the back seat of the car.
I was confused and a little scared. But I tried to stay calm and not show my panicked feelings.
"What's the reason Mr Van Walton wants to see me?" ask me carefully.
The man smiled gently. "Mr Van Walton has heard about your relationship with his granddaughter, Anita Van Walton, and he wants to see you in person."
I'm trying to consider what's going on. Does Mr Van Walton have any particular plans with our relationship? Or is there something I don't know?
"Where are we going?" my many.
"We're going home to the Van Walton family" the man replied.
We continue our journey in silence. I looked out the car window, trying to take my mind off the confusion that was haunting me.
After a while, the car stopped in front of a large, towering gate. I was almost surprised at how beautiful this house was. Large trees and beautiful gardens decorate the spacious courtyard of the house.
The man helped me get out of the car, then took me inside the house. When I stepped into the magnificent living room, I was greeted with a warm smile from Mr. Van Walton.
"Mr Van Walton, here he is" the man said as he pointed at me.
“Alright, you may return to your duties, Carl,” said Mr. Van Walton before extending his hand to me. I carefully greeted her, trying to ease my anxiety.
"I'm so happy to see you, young man. Anita always talks about you with joy. And therefore, I want to give you something" said Mr. Van Walton with elegance.
I was tense and afraid to know what Mr. Van Walton meant. Is there a will, or is this just a simple family gathering?
"Of course, Mr. Van Walton. What do you want to give me?" answer me carefully.
Mr. Van Walton smiled gently again, took an envelope from his pocket, then gave it to me. I opened it carefully, and my eyes could not believe what was happening.
The envelope contained travel tickets for two people to my dream destination that I told Anita - Paris.
"I want you two to spend some time together in Paris, let this be a little gift from the Van Walton family to you two, as well as a ransom for my guilt that previously could not come to your engagement party," said Mr. Van Walton kindly.
I had an unexpected surprise. Confused and happy, I was moved by Mr. Van Walton's good gesture.
"Mr Van Walton, we would be very grateful for this opportunity. It's really amazing" I said, in a slightly trembling voice.
Despite all the confusion and fear that had haunted me before, I realized how lucky I felt now. I can't wait to go with Anita on our trip to Paris.
Seriate.
