Love Is Complicated

For one week, Arjuna came to Chintania's house every day to meet his wife. But the housekeeper who works at the house always tells Arjuna that Chintania does not want to meet him. Arjuna even searched for Chintania in hospitals and campuses, but never managed to meet Chintania.

Feeling that she had no way to meet Chintania, Arjuna decided not to leave the Chintania house. From day to night Arjuna insisted on waiting in front of the gate until Chintania wanted to see him.

A car appears to have stopped in front of Chintania's gate. Arjuna saw Mama Nia get out of the car and immediately approached her.

Arjuna suddenly knelt at Nia's mother's feet, "Ma, I know I was wrong. But please let me meet Nia. I promise to improve myself, I promise to make Nia happy. Please let me meet him, ma," Arjuna said with his head bowed.

Mama Nia let out a long sigh, from this afternoon, her housekeeper had already called her several times. Her domestic assistant said that Arjuna would not leave the gate if she was not allowed to meet Chintania. Finally Mama Nia came home and really found Arjuna still in front of the gate of her house.

"How can you make my daughter happy if in your heart you only love other women?"asked Mama Nia in a flat voice.

"I promise I will forget it, and try to open my heart to Chintania. Let me meet and talk to Chintania, ma! I beg!"pinta Arjuna who was still kneeling, raised her head to look at her mother-in-law expectantly.

Mama Nia looked at Arjuna's disheveled and haggard face. There were even dark circles in Arjuna's eyes that indicated the man was sleep deprived.

"Go home first and clean your body! After that, meet me at my hospital," said Mama Nia then immediately turned her body and went back into the car before Arjuna could ask or say something. Mama Nia's car immediately left the place.

Hearing what Nia's mother said, Arjuna rushed into his car and immediately drove his car towards his home. After cleaning up, Arjuna immediately rushed to the hospital owned by Mama Nia.

Arjuna asked the receptionist about her mother-in-law's whereabouts. The receptionist also said that Nia's mother was in her room. Arjuna rushed to the place informed by the receptionist.

Full of question marks, Arjuna stepped foot into the room informed by the receptionist. Arjuna knocked on the door on which was a small board hung that read 'main director'.

"Lake in!"mama Nia said when the door was knocked.

Arjuna opened the door and found her mother-in-law staring at the screen of her laptop, "Ma!"greet Arjuna to his mother-in-law.

Mama Nia raised her head to look at Arjuna, "Sit down! There's something you want to tell you" said Mama Nia, with her hand gesturing for Arjuna to sit in a chair in front of her desk facing her.

Arjuna immediately sat down at the place hinted by his mother-in-law. In her heart full of questions, why did her mother-in-law tell her to come to the hospital, and meet in her mother-in-law's study.

"Formerly, Mama wanted to ask you first. Do you still want to continue your marriage or not?"mama asked Nia looking at Arjuna with a serious look.

"I never had any intention of divorcing Nia, ma. I knew I was wrong, and I wanted to fix it. I will try to forget my past and try to make Nia happy. Please, give me a chance, ma!"pinta Arjuna looked at Mama Nia seriously.

For almost two weeks Arjuna ignored Chintania and a week abandoned Chintania. Even during this one week, Arjuna could not see and communicate at all with Chintania. All that made Arjuna become very frustrated and finally realized, that Chintania really means a lot to him.

Therefore, Arjuna decided to forget the past and open a new page with Chintania. Arjuna will try to love Chintania.

"Mama also hopes you don't part, however, all decisions are with Nia. If Nia no longer wants to be with you, mama will not force her,"mama Nia paused her words for a moment,"Actually, Nia told mama to keep this a secret, however, mama felt this was unfair to you,"mama Nia said, sighing long.

"Hidden away? What does mama mean?"tanya Arjuna looked at Mama Nia filled with question marks.

"Nia told mama to keep it a secret, if she was pregnant at this time," said Mama Nia stared fixedly at Arjuna's face, wanting to know Arjuna's reaction when she heard this news.

"Dn.. Is nia pregnant? Be..really?"asked Arjuna stammered with a look of surprise and disbelief, "I.. I did not mishear, right, ma? Is nia pregnant? Is there a child in her stomach?"ask Arjuna to make sure that what he just heard is not wrong.

Arjuna was happy and moved to hear his mother-in-law's answer, "Let me see him, ma! I beg! I want to see how things are going" Arjuna asked expectantly.

"Nia doesn't want to see you, Jun. You can only meet her while she sleeps, "that mama Nia again let out a long sigh.

"It's okay, ma. As long as I can meet him," said Arjuna earnestly.

"There's something else my mom wants to tell you. Actually, ever since Nia came home, Nia had morning sickness. Even Nia always vomited food that went into her stomach. And because of that too, already these two days, Nia was admitted to this hospital. Her body was limp due to frequent vomiting," explained mama Nia.

"Him sick?"arjuna asked in surprise, "Let me see it, ma! I beg!"pinta Arjuna for the umpteenth time.

Mama Nia looked at the circular watch on her wrist, "Alright, maybe Nia is sleeping now," said Mama Nia.

Finally, Nia's mother brought Arjuna to see Chintania. After arriving at the front door of Chintania's nursery, for a while Nia's mother told Arjuna to wait outside. Mama Nia wanted to see if Nia had slept or not. After making sure Nia was asleep, Nia's mother invited Arjuna to come in, then left her.

With a slow step so that Nia would not wake up, Arjuna entered and approached Chintania. There was a sense of sadness and guilt in his heart as he looked at his wife's body which now looked thinner than before. Slowly Arjuna grasped Nia's hand gently and kissed her.

"Sorry!"said Arjuna slowly, looking at his wife's face that looked pale. After an hour of sitting waiting by Nia's bed, Arjuna saw Nia seem restless in her sleep.

With courage, Arjuna climbed onto Nia's bed which was quite large. Arjuna laid his body beside Chintania and took Chintania into his arms, letting go of the longing he had been holding for a week.

"Mas Juna," muttered Chintania softly, making Arjuna stiff because he thought that Nia would wake up and would be even more angry with him.

But Arjuna's fear faded as he felt Chintania embrace his body. Gently Arjuna kissed the top of Chintania's head. Arjuna did not dare to move much for fear of nudging the infusion hose attached to the hand of Nia who was hugging him.

Because Chintania still continues to hug him, finally Arjuna who had difficulty sleeping for a week also fell asleep. The feeling of comfort when holding the tiny body of Chintania also makes it quickly fall asleep.

The door of the room opened and Nia's mother appeared from behind the door. The middle-aged woman let out a long sigh seeing the couple sleeping hugging each other with an infusion hose still attached to her daughter's hand.

"If you still love her, why would you want to divorce her? And if you miss her so much, why insist on not meeting her? Love is complicated, "mom Nia murmured still looking at the child and his daughter-in-law who looked asleep peacefully.

Mama Nia understood, in fact her daughter felt her pride was hurt because Arjuna received Chintania as a life companion only because of her resemblance to Arjuna's first wife. Chintania feels cast as a shadow of others and unloved. Therefore, Chintania determined to divorce Arjuna, even though Chintania loves Arjuna.

Mama Nia turned her body and chose to leave the room. Do not want to disturb the sleep of a couple who have been a week apart.
