Alvaro's Dad

Arriving home, Alvaro was greeted by his father who was sitting in the living room reading a newspaper. "You're going home Al?" His father asked when he saw Alvaro walking into his house with his sister.

"Dad," cried Alvaro's sister happy when she saw her father at home so she ran towards his father.

"Father champ" said Alvaro's father as he stood and carried his son running towards him. "Ahh the hero of the father is getting heavier," he continued which made Alvaro's sister chuckle.

"I'm already a big man" said Alvaro's sister who made her father chuckle amused.

"Yes a great father is already big now," said Alvaro's father smiled at his son. "Where are you going Al? Here sit down first" continued Alvaro's father when he saw Alvaro was about to walk up the stairs.

"You go to the room. Don't let Al cape rest" said Alvaro without looking at his father and continuing his way to the room. His father who saw his son's behavior only sighed tiredly and then sat himself back on the sofa while holding his youngest son.

"Where are you from, Brother Al?" Ask Alvino, Alvaro's father.

"Abis from the mall. Really exciting to play with Kak Al. Next time you have to go" replied his son, who made Alvino smile.

"If he stays away from me but at least he still considers his sister," inwardly Alvino then continues his conversation with his youngest son. Alvino does not want his relationship with his youngest son to stretch like his relationship with Alvaro because of his mistakes in the past. After a long chat, Alvaro's sister finally fell asleep in his father's lap so Alvino took her son to the room and went downstairs to pick up the newspaper left behind. But when he was on the stairs, Alvino instead saw Alvaro who was about to get out of his house.

"Where are you going, Al?" Alvino asked when he saw his son leaving the house. Alvaro did not respond and continued walking towards the front door. "Al's? Alvaro's? Wait." Wait." Call Alvino who makes Alvaro stop his steps.

"Ga there's something we need to talk about" Alvaro said without turning back to see his father.

"Where are you going Al? You've only been home for a while and now you're leaving?" Ask Alvino again who started walking closer to Alvaro.

"It's none of your business where I'm going. You need to know that I've been here since yesterday but, you didn't come home yesterday? That's why you didn't meet me" Alvaro said, opening the door and driving his car away from home.

"Sorry" said Alvino when he saw Alvaro's departure.

Basement, Jack's house

"Bro, where the hell are you going? How's this new clock gathering?" Jack asked when he saw Alvaro enter the basement where they used to gather.

"Gue thought you weren't going to come Al" said Diego, who was playing cards with Richard.

"Gue had business," replied Alvaro as he picked up the soda in the refrigerator that was there.

"What business?" Jack asked again as he approached Alvaro who was now sitting on the sofa.

"Gue came back home. So I play with my sister," replied Alvaro while playing his phone reluctant to look at Jack.

"Lo meet you?" Jack's question, which is now staring at Alvaro, makes Richard and Diego stop the card game and look at Alvaro.

"Well, what's the same conversation?" Ask Jack constantly who's been in love with Alvaro's business.

"Apaan sih lo. I came here because I was lazy at home but I was interrogated. Mending I unplug," said Alvaro as he got up from his seat.

"Yes sorry-sorry. Don't sulk dong" said Jack, helping Alvaro to sit back on the couch. "But you're fighting again, aren't you the same bokap lo?" Ask Jack who was presented with a plot by his friends so that Jack looked down and chose to drink his drink.

"Al, lo ga what? What's your face?" Asked Richard who was already sitting on the sofa near Alvaro so he could see Alvaro's bruised face.

"What ga," replied Alvaro briefly as he turned his face away.

"Oh, what's the face of Al?" Jack asked who had just realized that Alvaro's face was bruised.

"Lo fight the same bokap!?" Diego asked hysterically which made Alvaro roll his eyes lazy.

"Gue fights with people" replied Alvaro who made his friends relieved because he did not fight with his father.

"Who is Al? Look for him because he is like us" said Jack, who rose from his seat and clenched his hands tightly.

"not nobody. Talk about something else. I don't want to think about anything right now" said Alvaro who made Jack sit back in his position. They chatted late and decided to stay at Jack's house because they were lazy to drive home in the early hours like this. Jack and Diego sleep in Jack's room while Alvaro and Richard sleep in the guest room.

"Lo really isn't why Al?" Jack asked as they had just entered the guest room where they used to sleep while staying at Jack's house.

"Ga. Why me?" Alvaro asked back as he looked at Richard who was looking at him seriously.

"Lo seems like a lot of thought" Richard replied as he sat himself on the sofa. "Lo needs a friend to confide in Al?" Asked Richard who made Alvaro walk up to him and sit at the front desk of the sofa.

"Clara was angry with me" Alvaro said, staring at Richard who gave no response. "Gue fought with one of his bodyguards. Name's Andrew. The bodyguard starts first. When he said that I can't sneak Clara and if I'm any he'll step in. Who does he think he is?" Clearly Alvaro let out his frustration.

"He's the bodyguard so naturally he keeps Clara," Richard commented, which made Alvaro glare.

"Yes but when she forbade me to be close to Clara. We're just friends because I already have a girlfriend" Alvaro replied, disagreeing with Richard's comments.

"Lo's just friends with Clara so why do you have to be angry just because you can't be friends with Clara?" Richard asked which made Alvaro silent unable to answer. "Lo's angry not because it's forbidden to be close to Clara, right? You're angry because you're jealous, aren't you the same bodyguard?" Richard asked which made Alvaro look at him in disbelief.

"He's just Clara's bodyguard so I'm probably jealous of him. Precisely because he was just a bodyguard then he did not have the right to forbid Clara to be friends with me. That's why I'm angry because he said so" replied Alvaro who seemed unsure of his words.

"Because she's Clara's bodyguard, you're jealous of her. Because what? Because he can always be close to Clara even he always protected Clara more than you," said Richard who made Alvaro speech.

"Am I really jealous? I know I feel something different to Clara but.....what is love? I can start to change and want to be a better man for him. Is that a sign I'm starting to feel the same?" Inner Alvaro wondered to himself.

"OK gini aja," said Richard who made Alvaro reawakened and looked at his friend seriously. "If your heart beats faster when you are with Clara and you feel safe and comfortable being nearby so that you want to always be around her and protect her," Richard sighed and continued, "That's a sign you really like Clara."
