Alya POV
I remembered. He's the same guy we were fighting over in the coffee queue at the cafe in front of the hospital. He wears a patient uniform but is free to walk out.
My feelings of hate grew even greater when he took away something I should have given to someone special.
"Alya, you've been daydreaming ever since. " Theo's voice resuscitated me. We were having coffee at a bar not far from school.
"Ah no, I'm thinking about Ethan's departure. Do you want to accompany me to say condolences?" Yeah, only Theo's a friend I have. We need each other, but in my dictionary I have to stand on my own footing.
"Sure, let's go now." Theo got up from his seat, and so did I. We got out of the tavern to Theo's car parked on the side of the road.
The journey takes about an hour. Ethan will be buried not far from his father's cattle farm. Theo even asked me to wear dark-colored clothes in honor of the bereaved family.
"Al, are you here too? " We met with Liam, my sister's husband. He's the tough, stupid guy I've ever known. If she loves Gracia should have decided to share the bed from the first moment, marry her. It's not like being stuck in the trauma of his parents' separation. I've always wanted to curse him, baby he's a man my brother loves so much.
"Yes, I'm sorry to hear that. May aunt Coco be stoic. " Liam nodded then we gave a sprig of white roses on top of Ethan's chest.
"Thanks Theo, you've dropped Alya off." Daddy patted Theo's arm briefly, Theo smiled without feeling bothered by me.
"Al, go home with your brother and Dylan. We'll talk about your lecture when things get better. " It looks like daddy and mommy are going to stay here longer.
After enjoying the banquet at the funeral home we decided to go back home. Just a glass of wine made me half drunk. Fortunately, Theo was still awake.
"Al, you're weak at this. I'm afraid I might hurt you. " Even though my eyes were closed I could still hear Theo's words clearly. I'm the same, worried that Theo will use my weakness.
Cring,,,
Theo's phone rang the tone of the call. He immediately reached into the pocket of his pants to lift them up. The day of coincidence is dead. He pulled over the car afraid of a traffic accident when the phone while driving.
"What's up bro, "Maybe it was her brother who contacted Theo.
"I'll be flying in a minute, can you find the identity of the painter? I'd really like to get his work." As Theo glanced at me, I wondered what they were talking about.
"Someday maybe, not now Chris. " Now, they've ended a short conversation.
"I know, you did it, "Theo muttered as he looked at me.
"You said what Theodor was? "
I asked, and slowly I flew into dreamland.
Daddy's parrot chirping is disturbing. I was still sleepy and he kept waking me up. As if I knew I was a hard person to wake up in the morning.
"Argh, can you stop it? " I scream, I'm not usually this angry. It's just that my lecture discussion was delayed due to the problems that occurred.
"Alya, awake! Don't you have a test today? " Mommy banged on the door of the room somehow. I walked over lazily, opened the door and let mommy in.
"Oh my God, are you still not ready ? You're gonna be late Al. " Come, just this morning I woke up a little afternoon and mommy was already scolding me. I've grown up and mommy should stop thinking of me as a child.
"Momm, slow down your voice. I'm ashamed of Dylan. " My orders, mommy just shook her head in annoyance. I better take a quick shower.
Dylan is the angel I love more than anyone. Ever since she was a baby I've been helping Gracia look after her. She's so adorable, I'm hard left one day.
"Auntie Al, "Not had my ass touched the chair yet, the little boy had already run to greet me.
"Hai Dy, have you had breakfast? " We hugged briefly, they smiled at my familiarity and Dylan's.
"It's been. but there's no Sam nanny today." Dylan's moody face made us feel sorry for what happened a few days ago.
"Hem, isn't there still me here? You don't want me Dy? " Pretending to let Dylan forget his sadness is my most powerful weapon. Evidently, he immediately smiled shaking his head.
"Come on Al, breakfast first. You're almost too late. " Mommy reminded me of school.
Alya only enjoyed two slices of bread smeared with pineapple jam. Not to forget a cup of bitter coffee to keep his eyes open. The doorbell rang, the nanny on duty walked out to open the door.
Before long the familiar figure of a man approached towards the dining table.
"You look, let's have breakfast together." Daddy smiled kindly to welcome the uninvited guest.
"Thanks uncle, I've. " Defuse her politely, her eyes fixed on me. I want to feel like I'm prying both of them.
"Thank you Theo, you've helped Alya a lot. " And that compliment will surely make Theo even more happy. But for me it doesn't matter as long as he can realize his limits while with me.
"Sama-sama uncle, I'm happy to be friends with uncle's son. Alya always takes care of me at school." I turned my eyeballs away hearing Theo flattering me in front of Daddy.
"Dadd, mom, me and Theo go to school first. After graduation I'll fly straight to London, I'm telling you not to ask permission. " Without seeing and waiting for their reaction I pulled Theo's hand out of the house.
"Look at Alya's behavior, I see Grace's nature descending on her. " Mister Rodrigo sighed harshly looking at Alya's stubbornness. Lady Patricia could only shake her head.
"The more in Alya's bridle will be against us. Isn't her brother Theo in London, we leave it to her. I hope Chris takes good care of her." Patricia's suggestion recalls Theo's older brother's figure at the party.
"Well, a man like him, can he be held accountable? Just come to his sister's party drunk." After Alya's sudden departure, Theo's birthday party was heated due to the presence of her brother who always made a troublemaker.
"We never know, maybe he's just in trouble." Patricia murmured though with doubt in her heart. At least there is someone who knows his daughter.
"All right, I'll try to talk to Oliver's family. " At last Rodrigo took advice from his wife. Before long Grace and Dylan came out of the room to go to school.
"Dadd, we're leaving first. " Grace said, holding Dylan's tiny hand.
"Be careful, let my men escort you up close." His father's orders are absolute without being rejected, whereas Alya Rodrigo is not as strict as it is to guard him. Maybe because there is already Theo, and also Alya can take care of themselves because of following physical exercise.
"See you grand ma, grand pa. " Dylan waved his goodbye hand at his grandfather and grandmother.
Monday to Friday school is really serious about carrying out the final exam. For those sitting at the senior level can breathe a sigh of relief after all the burden is gone. Change with joy to welcome prom night. When her friends choose to party as a sign of success, Alya prefers to be alone sitting on a bench beside the Seine river.
"Why does my life feel so bland, "Well. He took something in the pocket of his denim jacket, looked at it for a moment while thinking.
"Come on, you're an adult since today." Alya cheered herself up and opened and picked up a cigarette. Turning on the gas match, he began to suck it slowly.
"Good Girl, no one can control you." Alya does have differences with her older sister Grace.
If in front of people he behaves sweetly, becomes a submissive and loving child. But when outside the house Alya is a scary figure. He had an intimidating look, his chin that was always raised without realizing it, as well as an irritant to talk.
Ting,,, uh,,,
A short message came in. Alya immediately wiped the screen opening it.
"Got it. " Meekik Alya gleefully. He just got a remittance from the sale of his paintings. He hurried to put out the rest of his cigarettes. Alya is looking for the nearest minimarket to shop for necessities.
Quite a lot so Alya had to hold three cartons containing groceries. The other visitors even looked at him in wonder. On the side of the road, Alya stopped an empty taxi. The driver helped Alya put her luggage in the trunk.
"Where's miss? " The driver asked for Alya's destination address.
"House of Love. " Alya replied, the car drove as the passengers wanted.
Since moving to Paris Alya several times visited the orphanage. Teaching children to read and count. If there is more money Alya will buy them hawker even decent clothes. It took twenty minutes to arrive, Alya's arrival was welcomed by the chairman of the orphanage. The children were also happy to see Alya being able to visit again.
"You're so kind Al, thanks a lot. " Say a tall and skinny woman with an apron on her stomach. He looked at Alya sincerely full of pride. Although still very young Alya has a good social spirit.
"I really wanted to go to the war zone to volunteer, but that was impossible considering who my father was. And I found another way here." Alya's inner smile warmly saw happiness radiating on the faces of children under her age.
