Chapter 63 The Past (3)

Rieyu realized in one of the dark rooms. He didn't understand why he was there. The man was seriously injured. Both of his hands were tied to a rope. Both of his legs are the same.

The man remembered that Pauline was waiting for him. He was as strong as possible to release the bond, but the result was nil. Those ties were too strong of her.

"Ah, fuck!" exclaiming her.

Rieyu's efforts to find a way to escape were not in vain. An hour later, his hands and feet were free. His breathing faltered because he was tired enough to let go of the rope.

As he broke the door that locked him, a group of men confronted him. Rieyu fought against them, though the numbers were unbalanced. With the condition of the wound on his body, not allowing him to win.

He didn't give up. Pauline's name crossed his mind. It made him more excited. No matter how long his body was unable to survive. His movements are getting crazier. However, he managed to defeat three out of six people.

Three more people tried to gang up on him he couldn't lose. Whatever happens, he must defeat them. His eyes were blurry, he could not see them clearly because of the sweat that was pouring all over his face.

Rieyu's steps were stifled, his movements getting slower. One man attacked from behind. The man flanked Rieyu's neck using his arm. While one more person kicked his stomach. Then one other person tied him back up.

This time, Rieyu could not pucker up. It's hard to move. Suddenly, from a distance someone came. He shot three people very quickly. Rieyu smiled because someone helped him.

"Gu-san!" call the man worried.

"Sorry, I'm late."

"Because you've come, please protect my son and wife! My wife is waiting for me. My son is very small. He was so innocent, his face was so similar to mine. I want you..."

"Why should I protect them? You have to protect your family. So, hang! I will save you," he said, holding Rieyu on his back.

Before arriving at the hospital, Rieyu collapsed and was unconscious. Pain, pain, and fatigue stack up into one. Before he fainted, he smiled.

The day has passed quickly. Pauline is agitated, her mind is calm. The auction time was not long, Pauline had no choice but to sell the land given by Rieyu to her the other day.

Pauline's heart skipped a beat, as her long-awaited day had come. Because the auction time was night, Pauline was able to put Jonathan to sleep. The boy fell asleep easily. It didn't take long, he went to the auction place. There, he saw a lot of people who participated in the auction.

"You're coming?" ask Eveline can't believe she saw Pauline.

"Yes, why? I came in my own way" Pauline said with a sting.

"So, you stole that flyer?" accuse Eveline.

"It's not my fault. You guys dropped it."

"Look, I won't let you win!" eveline shouted in a loud voice. Pauline stroked his chest, trying to be patient.

The long-awaited time has come. Pauline can't wait to offer him something that could change her life.

"good. The price will start at 1 million" said the auction host.

"Six million!" the woman in glasses.

"Se..Ten million!" pauline was nervous.

"Twelve million!" pauline said out loud. He didn't want the key in Pauline's hands.

"Fifteen million!" another one that doesn't want to lose.

"Du..Twenty-five million!" pauline.

"Huh? Twenty-five million? Where did he get that kind of money?" inner Eveline. "Honey, let's bargain higher. Don't lose!" whispered Eveline.

"Can you shut up? I won't lose" said Robert. He was annoyed by Eveline's insistence.

"Sounds like I'm gonna win?" pauline asked herself.

"Thirty million!" exclaim Robert.

"Ep..Forty million!" pauline is trying hard.

"What's? Forty million? Eveline, we're just giving up."

"Is that what it is?"

"We don't have that kind of money. This alone is the last money we have" whispered Robert.

"Ah, fuck! We were defeated by that woman" Eveline said.

"good. The price will close at forty million" exclaimed the man.

Pauline is glad to win. Finally, his tiredness was not in vain. The woman took the key she wanted.

"In this way, Rieyu no longer bothered with the work," Pauline said.

"Darling, we can't stay silent. Do you want us to live poor?" said Eveline.

"Wouldn't. I want to be rich. But how?"

"Stole that key!" whispered Eveline.

No choice, Robert stole the key from Pauline. The woman screamed hysterically because it had been stolen, but the area was quiet, not many people heard it.

Pauline was screaming hysterically. He doesn't know what else to do. He chased but his steps stopped. Both of his legs hurt because he was forced to run. Not to mention, Robert's distance to her had already been so far.

"How's this? I've risked my life for the treasure. Rieyu, what are we doing? Where are you Rieyu?" inner Pauline.

Pauline's heart is broken, she can't think straight. There's no news of Rieyu at all. He didn't know he was dead or alive. The woman is agitated.

Jonathan felt sorry for Pauline's anxiety. The boy hugged to calm him down. However, Pauline did not melt, her inner anxiety was more turbulent than Jonathan's warm embrace.

Every way he did to get the key back. He had contacted the police, but until now they have not given results.

Without him noticing, Pauline's anxiety gradually grew by a month. The woman has no appetite. Jonathan knew that. He does a little homework, like frying eggs, even sweeping the floor.
