The atmosphere of the afternoon that was dramatizing immediately welcomed a quiet afternoon. There was no commotion or noise except the whisper of the wind that felt increasingly cold.
The Orange Sky above fell upon a small boy who had long sat in the Bench of the Company Garden. He was silent for the first time not talking just looking at the butterflies that were perched in the flowers around him.
Yello who had been standing behind him was also quite astonished. Evelyne was unusually silent without this kind of sound and ignored the objects she used to play.
"Miss! It's already Afternoon. It's time to eat!"
Evelyne was silent. He did not answer at all until his eyes rolled to look at the sky above. He was confused and unwilling to imagine going from his Daddy's side.
"Yes!"
"Yes. Miss?"
"Leen wants to go home!" evelyne's murmured squeezed his fingers. Yello came closer because she thought Evelyne wanted to go back to her room.
"Come to your room. Miss!"
"Leen wants to go!"
Yello was instantly silent. What does Evelyne mean by that temple? Butwhy? Why does he want to now?
"Miss! I'm sorry, sir, that his emotions often spiral out of control. But, he's a good guy and.."
"Leen knows," Evelyne muttered looking straight ahead. He knew Maxwell was a good man even though the way he lived was very different from everyone else.
"Daddy is great. Daddy's not lucky to get Leen!"
"Don't talk like that. Miss!" yello's murmur held Evelyne's shoulder which looked very burdened. He just wanted Maxwell to be okay and be able to smile like the people out there.
"They.. They had a fight because of Leen. If Leen doesn't come then Daddy.."
Evelyne's words were stifled as she began to feel dizzy in her head. This has happened several times and Evelyne is not surprised at all.
"Miss!"
"Leen is also a disease. Leen continued to trouble Daddy," Evelyne softened with the heat on his body. He broke out in a cold sweat withstanding the pulsations in his head and the heat spread all over his skin.
Yello who saw that immediately crouched down put the back of his hand to Evelyne's forehead which made him shocked.
"Your body is so hot!"
"L.Leen is used to it" eloquently Evelyne resigned. Without waiting any longer Yello immediately carried Evelyne lightly and walked quickly towards the Company Door.
Fortunately, the employees have been returned early so they are free to do anything without anyone monitoring.
Gregor who just came down from the floor of his master's room immediately folded his forehead seeing Yello rush like that.
"What's wrong?"
"High fever. He hasn't had lunch yet!" yello answered with concern, bringing Evelyne into the elevator.
The burly woman looked very anxious because Evelyne's face was so pale and her sweat was too excessive.
"Have you calmed down?"
"yeah. He was asking for Little Miss!" gregor answered while pressing the Elevator Button which immediately brought them up.
Looking at the overheated Evelyne, Gregor immediately took out his handkerchief and rubbed the poor boy's neck and forehead.
"P..Panass.."
"Miss! You hold on," murmured Yello tightened his sling. She was exactly like a Mother who was worried about Her Daughter because obviously Yello really liked Evelyne.
After a while, the elevator opened showing Jirome carrying a file out of her Master's room.
The man was surprised to see Yello and Gregor carrying Evelyne in such a state.
"What's wrong?"
"Suddenly Miss Fever is high!" yello answered, bringing Evelyne inside.
Jirome turned her steps back because she was worried because Evelyne's body was that red and her face was very pale.
"You're calling Dr. Ken to get here!"
Tell Jirome to take Evelyne from Yello's sling and rush the boy into his master's room.
"Twoaan!!"
Maxwell's in the bathroom. Jirome laid Evelyne on the bed and went to the Bathroom Door.
"Aging!! Evelyne High fever!!"
Hearing that sentence The bathroom door immediately opened showing Maxwell who had just finished bathing with Bathrobe still wrapped his sturdy body.
"The body is very hot. Master!"
Maxwell's face was wrinkled. He rushed to the bed and grabbed Evelyne's freshly boiled forehead and cheeks.
"You.."
"D..Dad!" lirih Evelyne with a soft look. Maxwell believes it's still Afternoon and the sun hasn't set at all.
But why so fast and his body condition is more severe than the previous changes.
"D..Dad!"
Evelyne nodded indeed feeling pain all over her body. Maxwell's anxiety is high because Evelyne's condition is so alarming.
"Bring Ken here! Whooo!!"
"He's on his way. Master!" jirome answered, seeing Maxwell take off all of Evelyne's clothes because the sweat on his body was out of control.
The longer the pain Evelyne endured can no longer be dimmed. He whines because indeed for such a small boy will not be able to hold it too long.
"D..Daddy s.sakitt.."
"Calm down. You'll be fine" said Maxwell when he was unsettled. His soul seemed to be in a stirring feeling the sole of Evelyne's feet suddenly cold but the rest of the body was very hot.
"S..Hick's sick."
"I.I will prepare cold water!" muttered Jirome also could not bear to see her beloved until grimacing sick like that.
He hurried out of the room while Maxwell carried Evelyne in his sturdy sling. Evelyne's tiny body looks light on Maxwell's arms that open the wide curtains and raise the room temperature to be cooler.
"What's better?"
Maxwell quelled the anxiety by standing in front of the bedroom window. He let the wind in hit Evelyne's body which looks still not calm and his body gets hotter.
"P..Heat.. D..Dad!"
Maxwell's chest is so tight. He couldn't bear to see Evelyne's pain that kept squeezing his shoulders holding all that back.
"It's all because of him," Maxwell growled at Evelyne's grown-up. He sat Evelyne by the window and then pulled the poor boy's short hair up to make it cooler and fresher.
In this sick atmosphere Evelyne still had time to wipe the hair on the back of Maxwell's head because his hand was squeezing this sturdy shoulder.
"D..Dad!"
"Hm. Still hot? Is it less?" maxwell could not hide if he was worried.
Seeing that Evelyne's lips thinned out to look like a late-stage cancer sufferer.
Why Maxwell doesn't like Evelyne's smile this time. He felt that smile kept a million secrets that would never be okay.
"D..Dad!"
"Don't smile" Maxwell turned to lift Evelyne from the window. He did not grip his neck or neck as he used to.
"D..Daddy Leen .."
"Stop talking!" maxwell suddenly felt tight. It was as if Evelyne was about to leave her, her Leen would no longer exist.
"D..Daddy, don't be sad. Yea?"
"Don't buy!!! Your condition is this bad you understand. Ha??" maxwell was furious but he hugged Evelyne who did not feel hate but was affectionate with Maxwell's rough style.
His chest felt smashed by a boulder until Maxwell had to repeatedly normalize his breathing. When Evelyne felt unconscious, Maxwell immediately asked him to speak.
"Your head still hurts?"
Evelyne did not answer but Maxwell's voice seemed to have long reached his mind until he was silent for some time then he nodded.
"D..Dad!"
"Don't talk anymore! You need to stay sober until Ken gets here, don't sleep."
"T.but Leen is tired. Dad!" evelyne's murmur completely broke her body.
Maxwell can't support it anymore. He rubbed Evelyne's head to make it quieter but the funny thing was that Evelyne's hand was also rubbing Maxwell's hair that leaned Evelyne's head into the recess of her neck.
"D..Dad!"
"Hm," muttered Maxwell blowing Evelyne's small shoulder to cool. If you look at both of them like a father and son who are very, very close.
"D..Dad!"
"You.."
"Leen wants to go home!"
Lirih Evelyne opened her clear eyes that were softly staring at Maxwell's sharpened eagle bead. Her eyes were so cold as if she did not like Evelyne's words just now.
"L..Leen wants P..Home."
"You've never felt a fall at a height, have you?" maxwell growled but Evelyne was too relaxed that he anchored his kiss unfortunately to Maxwell's stern jaw which had been melted with his existence.
"D..Daddy's the best."
"Don't say a lot of useless things. You've always troubled me" said Maxwell, but it wasn't in his heart.
He only spoke harshly and scathingly but it only covered up feelings he had never shown to anyone other than his mother.
In between the anger that did not accept it, Maxwell actually began to remember the words of the Demon Woman. Until now the sentence he said that night is still a mystery.
"I warned you."
A very haughty voice but no lie. Maxwell can tell if he's playing around or not.
