MY HUSBAND'S EX-BOYFRIEND
Call Me Only Ayu

Happy reading yes 🤓

My name is Kadek Ayu Maheswari.

Every day I am called Ayu. I was born and raised in a city located on the island of Bali which is famous for its exotic natural beauty.

In accordance with the name of Kadek that I bear, it is certain that I am the second daughter of three brothers. Putu is the name for the first child and komang is the third.

My father just happens to have no sons. All her daughters are girls. For some families in the area where I live, the presence of a boy is expected to carry on the responsibilities passed down by generations in accordance with our beliefs.

Every day I help my mother in our family's little restaurant. Although small, our food products are enough to meet our needs.

My sister is married and lives with her husband at his in-laws' house. So there was me and my sister who were still in school.

This morning, as usual I was busy helping my mother serve the buyers.

"Hi Ayu's. Order rice as usual." Dirga blinked his eyes.

I who often serve him already know and memorize what menus are his favorite. Immediately I get it and I take it to the table where it sits.

"Good fun with Dirga." My speech.

"Thank you Ayu." Her speech.

I smiled and left him. I looked at him who looked good to eat. He ate at our restaurant almost every day.

After eating the food Dirga approached me. He paid a certain amount for the price of food in our restaurant.

"You haven't given me an answer to my request a week ago Yu. I want you to know, I'm still waiting for an answer from you." His word.

I just kept quiet because I didn't have an answer for him.

"Mom's morning." He greeted my mother who passed him at the door.

"Eh Dirga, where are you going to hunt once?" Ask mother.

"Dirga has to work this morning ma'am. Excuse me, ma'am. " Say polite.

"So heart son." Mother's message.

Mom looked at his departure. Mother took her breath.

"Mom don't know what else you think Yu is! Dirga is kind and very attentive to you. Have you not been dating for a long time. Why do you still hesitate to accept the proposal?" Ask mom a little upset.

"Entah mom. Ayu is not ready to get married. I still want to help you." My speech.

"Mom knows son. But try to remember your age, son. It is not good if women are too old to get married. Scared of hardship and a lot of trouble when pregnant son." Tukas mother.

I let out a breath. My mom reminds me of that almost every day.

"Why mom if I don't want to get married first? I still want to stay with you here." My inner

Marriage is one of the words I fear the most. I don't know why just imagining that word I was horrified. Maybe I've heard too many stories about my married friends.

Stay with in-laws. Have children. At selingkuhi. In polygamy. In divorce.

I know that not everyone experiences something like that, but I still don't feel ready.

Dirgantara Putu. The only child of the Wicaksana family. I've known him for a long time since we met at this diner.

Dirga's a good man. Although he was three years below me he proved age does not guarantee how mature the way someone thinks.

Nearly five years of loving him has made me know many of his traits. Even though he's an only child, he doesn't make himself spoiled. He's used to doing everything himself.

Dirga has a pretty good look. Actually, a lot of girls like it, but I don't know what made him choose me. I'm just an ordinary girl. My face is not as bright as my name.

Dirga has always assured me that she chose me not because of beauty alone but because of the kindness of my heart. I know Dirga only raised my heart because of her mother. Aunt Widya, seemed to dislike me from the beginning.

Aunt Widya never showed any dislike when Dirga was with me. He waited while Dirga was no one near me. That's when he'll say enough words to make my heart want to give up on our relationship.

It was a sentence that Widya's aunt said to me the first time Dirga took me home to introduce me to her parents.

I never told Dirga that her mother ever said that. I never opened my mouth in front of my mother.

I keep well the words of Aunt Widya in my own heart. After all, with her sweet attitude towards me in front of her son, I'm sure Dirga wouldn't believe it if I said it.

"Yu, I want us to take a more serious step. We have a long relationship too. I want you to accept me and make me your husband." Dirga with a sounding voice must have said that to me.

Dirga.

"Me," I didn't go on with my words.

"Why Yu? Is it still not enough for me to convince you for five years? Was there any attitude of mine that ever hurt your heart that you found it so hard to accept my proposal?" Ask Dirga.

"Not Dirga, all this time you've proven how much your love for me is huge. You never hurt me at all." I went back to silence.

"Then what is Yu?" His insistence.

"I, I, I just don't want to leave mom's house." Answer lies.

The local custom of demanding that every married girl should stay with her husband's family made me even more horrified to accept Dirga's proposal given how much her mother disliked me.

Therefore, the,

I used my mother's excuse because I couldn't tell her the truth. I don't know where to tell her that her mother never liked me.

"I'm sorry Dirga. I had to lie." My inner.

Dirga looks disappointed with my answer but he can soon regain control of himself.

"It doesn't really matter to me if you want to visit your mother often after we get married. I don't even mind if you want to stay a few nights at your mom's. I don't really follow Yu's customs." Her speech.

"For me, getting married means adding a family. Not separating families." Further.

Aahhh Dirga,

You might think like that, but your mother?

I'm sure if I accept your proposal and you really allow me to visit my mother often, Widya's aunt will hate me even more.

I can make sure that every day when you're not around, he'll keep pushing me with his word.

Dirga, perka,

I don't think I'm ready to live a life like that.

I drowned in the shadow of my own fear until I didn't realize Dirga had called me several times. I just woke up when he shook my shoulder.

"Yu, Ayu, are you okay?" Ask.

The surprised me tried to regain my entire consciousness and shook my head slowly.

"Give me time to think Dirga. Getting married is not just a matter for both of us. I have to ask my family's opinion first." My speech

"I'm sure you haven't talked to your parents, have you, too, with your plan?" My toot.

Dirga.

"I haven't told them yet, but you're calm. I'll talk to mom and dad soon. I'm sure they agree." Dirga excited.

I smiled wryly in my heart.

"Hopefully Dirga." Tukasku.
